they said they wanted to make the game like a movie. it clearly shows in the ending. movies can end like this to prepare for the next film... but this is a video game and we want choices and a proper ending! cut that movie crap..
We also don't spend 100+ hours watching 3 movies. More like 10 hours on 3 movies.

I have an idea for an ending possibility it's two pronged
1) The ending as is becomes re-framed into indoctrination Dream Trap, where Harbinger tries to get Shepard to hopelessly give in to an outcome the Reapers desire (Synthesis, Control). If you choose either of those, Shepard is indoctrinated and you have to watch him/her betray everyone at the moment of truth.
2) The Illusive Man's role changes based on the signal he acquires from Henry Lawson and your decision with the Collector Base. If you kept the base he has enough research material to amplify the signal to control troops and Destroyers. If you destroyed it just troops. Either way, he can contribute, if convinced, a huge boon to the effort in stopping the Reapers. If he isn't convinced than he uses the troops to gamble taking down just the non-human forces and then turning the troops against the Reapers, assuring human dominance if the fleet is strong enough to defeat the Reapers.
The ending would then play out according to EMS, your surviving allies, and the denouement would go through the galactic stage telling how each race and individual people ended up.
What do you think?
Pretty much a shortened form of what I said here: http://social.biowar...6/1874#10251694

I'm getting increasingly worried that BW might change the ending instead of expanding on it with a patch or DLC, this would mean that there probably would be no boss fight and just the ending from after TIM dying and the cutscenes being changed.
I'd much rather prefer an expansion of the ending we got (since the only thing that makes sense is indoc. theory which then means that the game didn't really end) instead of them changing the ending and not having coherent post-end DLC. Ofcourse DLC that directly impacts the main story in means of a "true" ending should be free, I'm not saying that I'd prefer to pay out more to coax me out of my fetal position on the bed, just making that clear.
What do you guys think? Change the ending alltogether or expand on it?
for godness sake. have shep wake up in that redicilus scene where he takes half a breath (inn one of the endings dont know witch) and have the last 10 PAINFUL minutes going up the citadel just be a really BAD dream. and start over from there. the game was perfect straight upp to that point.
but from there... what the F..........
even my sister sat and watched the whole game and loved it. i thougt that was amazing.
but then came the last 10 min. OOOHHH a franchise ruined in 10 min has to be a record of some sort
that ending there should have been one of, well say 5 different ones (one of the bad ones)
i know some dont like that some of us say we want a happy ending.
but why cant we some say shepard has to die......
shepard doesnt HAVE to do anything its Mass Effect if people have made the good and right choices why havent they deserved a good ending (like me2 there it could go both ways).
recomend this ( )
all im saying it would be good to at least ONE ending didnt result inn utter dispear.
GIVE US CLOUSURE AND ONE GOOD ENDING and for the ones that want shep dead give them that too but leave atleast some of the galaxy not totally ****ed. (we saw what happend when the mass relay got destroyed in arrival earth and all other planets are f....
This was not good enough BW
sry for bad gramar

there should be an option to shoot the space-god-reaper-AI-kid back on earth. that way you win the game after the first 10 minutes. would still be better than the real ending.
I spent about 10 minutes shooting the Star child on the Crucible.

Somebody who knows this guy needs to talk him down from this action, at the very least wait until after pax, give Bioware a chance to do something first, he is just making the whole movement look bad, it's him the press will be looking at as an example of the rest of us.chmarr wrote...

I wonder if he really did it. This may very well be just some PR tactic from BW/EA or maybe someone who's anti-Retake movement
The articles won't draw more customers, for Bioware, as far as I can figure. There's still a huge portion of people here who are sticking up for what we believe and I think a vast majority of us wouldn't think twice about walking away from the games they develop. I think that's the real stakes. Our job is to let people know there's an orginized group of people who feel the same way that they do about the ending of this series.
People who say "It's just a game" are the ones who don't have our staying power.

agreed, the more press that gets out the better chance that bw is forced to do something....even if they read it and say, thats going overboard....if they are interested in gaming they're going to say, let me look into what they are talking about and see about the 'ending'

one thing that pisses me off, is that the "best possible ending" is blowing it up and destroy the reapers. i supported the geth back to me2 all the way and finally they get a "soul" and EDI.. now i have to kill them all
Space magic is like blood magic, you need to do something evil to make it work properly.

People who say that dont have the same connection to the game as we do.
ME became part of our lives for 5 years, our escape from reality, and be someone else entirely.
Each of us has spend over 100's of hours on ME 1 and 2 each.
The others that dont have the same connection as we do will most likely not even have spend 10%
of our time on the ME games.

it appears that the bioware PR folks are making a committed counter attack over at G4. I've posted my say, but i would greatly apprerciate it if others here who have a better grasp of language and the realities involved in consumerism would get over there and help me to shut them up.. I am neither eloquent nor erudite, and we really need that right now..
Thanks
