it appears that the bioware PR folks are making a committed counter attack over at G4. I've posted my say, but i would greatly apprerciate it if others here who have a better grasp of language and the realities involved in consumerism would get over there and help me to shut them up.. I am neither eloquent nor erudite, and we really need that right now..
Thanks

I don't usually join in over at other websites, but I just couldn't help myself after reading yet another inaccurate article and some of the ignorant comments that came with it. Here's what I chimed in with:
"Shocking G4 that you've actually decided to run with this story. Not only is the headline inaccurate (one guy becomes "critics"), but you're also about a week late. Well done for bringing a new meaning to the word 'news.'
As for the other guys: You can call us geeks, whiners, entitled, you can call us whatever you want. We've been called worse and that won't stop us. It won't stop our movement from growing and we're not going to resort to petty insults. That's not what this movement is about. It's about a vast number of fans of the Mass Effect franchise that have given way more than 100 hours into this series, only to be given a rushed, thoughtless and illogical ending, all of which is contradictory to what we were actually promised by the makers and more.
So when BioWare finally decide to make an announcement, when they finally think, "okay, this is getting out of hand and the worst thing about it is that they're right," and either change/create the ending that we deserve, what will you say then? You'll move from calling us whiners and entitled and begin slating BioWare for pandering to their fans. All of which won't really matter to you because this movement isn't for you, this franchise isn't for you, it won't benefit you. It will benefit us, the true fans, the guys and girls who have stood up for themselves because we were lied to. If all of this makes me a geek then so be it. I'd rather have a geek with the ending that he deserves, than somebody who comments and judges a large group of people about something that they have no idea about.
Cheers."
