Yeah, some one played the game somewhere and some "claim" they saw the vids. BS! If you actually saw the vids YOU would have had them posted on Utube. No vids YOU are full of crap! And don't give me some one - yet no one posting here - somehow has all the answers - BS! Next, leaked script - yeah right - BW lost this scrip and followed it to the letter knowing full well it was on the internet. Yeah, right - have I got one for YOU. BS!

Come on man, I've seen aliens of every sort on uTube claimed as real. Images of Jesus on everything from toast to clouds on UTube. And everything else in between - I don't use UTube as anything but humorous.

Hahahahaha....

Seriously, do you know how you sound to others? Denying ridiculous amounts of video evidence?

What, someone threw this together in an afternoon?

Man reality is going to suck for that guy... I'd hate to be going to his high school.

I'm not happy because you are upset.. I'm happy because it sounds like a good ending.

Stopping a galactic extinction is quite a good ending. I remember how angry people got with FO3.. The idea of trading the life of a virtual character to save humanity was unthinkable... I really didn't get that.. You would think a courageous ending would be good... But apparently the idea of self sacrifice is lost.. If there were an invading army, their would clearly be a boxspring above such people and not a gun in their hand.. Is nothing worth dying for to you? Trading the lives of one crew TO SAVE THE ENTIRE GALAXY is an insult to you?? Do explain, because I'm truly not getting it.  Is courage that lost on you?  I am really and truely asking this..  I'm not attempting to be sarcastic, or sadistic.  I want to know.

People could of disagreed with the ideas way back when people voiced them.  This sounds a lot like what  many people described and asked for..  People agreed with the ideas then.  I didn't hear strong objections then?  Look back at some of the things I posted way back after ME2.. This sounds like what I was talking about and people liked the ideas then.

So it's not rainbows and kittens.. Good.  You trade your life for the galaxy.  Is the galaxy to small?
It's a hero's death.
A HERO'S DEATH!!!

So excuse my  at the outrage.

NO.  People were upset about FO3's ending because there are TWO GODD*MN characters who are IMMUNE to radiation, yet the protagoinst is FORCED to enter the radiated hole.

That was railroading at its peak.

I just think they should have gone with safe bioware endings. This was the wrong game series to do this in. It will break the hearts of long term fans and leave mainstream gamers wondering what the point was.

I've been a long term ME fan... For some reason I find the ending(at least that I saw.) to be apporpriate. I'm probably going to be flamed for this, but I believe you cannot win a galatic war without losing so much. It's a risky choice Bioware made. I think it'll pay off in the end. An emotional roller coaster.

I was hoping for something along the lines of: The reapers get destroyed or driven out of the galaxy, billions possibly trillions of people dead across the galaxy and many worlds destroyed depending on how well you prepared. Shepard and his/her crew survive but go their separate ways to help their species rebuild, if your LI was Tali/Garrus/Liara you leave with them to help their people.

Galaxy is still pretty messed up, but the mass relays are still there and the galaxy is rebuilding, perfect set up for future games set in the Mass Effect setting. With these endings I see no way they can continue the setting without it losing everything that made the Mass Effect setting so great.

I still only see two (and potentially one) ending in these links.  Normandy getting destroyed and the "red London" video could very well be the same ending.  The blue London video has no context as it's clearly in the middle of a cut scene.  Not even sure what to make of the video of Tali leading her troops.  That could be at the beginning of the battle for all we know.

And in all 175+ pages I still have yet to find a link to a video, or even a picture, of the Normandy crew being stranded.

I'm not calling BS on anything.  Some of the videos are matching up with the leaked script, but there is still a lack of context for a lot of the videos, and no evidence of the Normandy being stranded outside of heresy.

Again, I would really just suggest a wait and see approach.

Seriously, all those videois are for real.

The question is, what can and cannot be inferred from them. The 'poor hopefuls' like myself are ONLY claiming that the recovered material is not CONCLUSIVE evidence in favor of the horrendous ending that is fixed whatever your choices through the series.

Nah. It's just that this is the way Shepard's entire saga ends, so there's ~six years riding on it. The destination's more important than it would be if this game was a standalone.

That's the real reason this is such a big deal to me. Many of us have spent 5-6 years getting attached to these characters, the places and lore. If it were a single game that we spent a week with, it wouldn't hit nearly as hard as this does (the earlier mentions of RDR come to mind here). Essentially, we've been told all these years that these characters, these places are what we're fighting for, this civilization... and now, it's all gone. The Mass Effect universe as we know it ceases to exist. If that is not the very definition of sad, I don't know what is.

Edited to add: If that is indeed not the case, which I very much hope it is not, then I'll be jumping for joy that this was all a big mistake.

I'm with you on this 110%.  When I read the first post on this topic, I had a mini panic-attack.  I'm very much so, emotionally involved in this game, I care alot of the characters and Sheperd, and to think that we've spent all this time with the characters, through ME 1, and 2, and then for everything to be destroyed in the end and have those same characters dumped on some bfe planet, while we will be left with no idea whatsoever concerning their fates.... Just sayin, if that's how it all really ends, and going to have some choice words to send to bioware, and that's putting it mildly.

This isn't the end of Mass Effect.. it's simply a reset on the branches.. You'd end up with a 120GB 200 million dollar, 5 hour game, without a reset in the branches.

It is beter to of loved and lost then to have never loved at all.  It was a 3 part deal, as in go back to start.  I have lots of time invested in the series and I want goodbye to hurt... If it doesn't hurt, it wasn't worth my time.

Emotional rollor coaster? No - just idiotic. The really difficult choice would be slamming an astroid into earth relay and destroying Reapers and Earth but leaving the rest of the relays intact. That seem like the obvious choice that should be in this game.

I will not deny that the ending is an appropriate one but it should be a choice, among other endings. Everyone shouldn't have the same considering everyone took very different steps to get there. Honestly, I don't think it will pay off. The game isn't even out yet and people are already up in arms, many long term fans. It may have paid off if their other titles(DA2) hadn't left their base with a sour taste in their mouths.

here different ending from the leaked script:SPOILER WARNING:

A simple mistake. The Citadel is part of me.
It's energy can be released as a destructive force. Organics will prevail at our expense. All synthetic life will succumb.
As will much of the technology your kind rely on.
Including the relays you depend upon.
Harness the Crucible's energy. Use it to take control of the ones you call the Reapers.
Correct... though he could never have taken control, as we already controlled him.
You will become the catalyst. You will continue the cycle as you see fit.
Correct.
There is one other solution.
You may combine the synthetic and the organic.
Add your energy, your essence, with that of Crucible. The resulting chain reaction will transform both of our kind.
We synthetics will become more like you, and organic life will become like us.
But you must choose.
But you must act. I can't proceed.
Go. If you don't, the cycle will continue, but I will no longer control the Reapers.

What... where is this?
And who are you, exactly?
I thought the Citadel was the Catalyst.

I don't understand.

And the other choice?
Control? So the Illusive Man was right.
What would happen to me?
And the Reapers will obey me?

Combine?

So, I just...

That's... a little masochistic.  And whoever came up with the "better to have loved and lost" quote (or "beter to of loved...") was probably not referring to video games.

He said "going back".

Do you really think thats what hes refering to? Loading a previous save. Thats common sense. Theres more to it than that.... I assume.

We have proved common sense is often used to obfuscate true meaning.  Specifically I am refering to when there was an accident with marketing material 9 months ago that identified the CE squadmate as a Prothean.   Someone asked on a forum about it and Chris Priestly responded saying "that was an error in the text from an earlier version, it has been removed."  Which everyone then took to mean the PROTHEAN idea had been removed since it was common sense to say that the text was going to get removed.  Yet here we are and it's clear he was just addressing common sense, and whatever anyone else assumed who thought elsewise, that's their problem.
