This is sickening. I have lost all drive to play games on any of my platforms right now. I pick up my PS3 controller and look at my 360 sorrowfully. I pick up my 360 and look at the Mass Effect 3 tin with despair. I load up Steam on this and I just can't bring myself to start up anything.

Hell, BioWare didn't just kill the franchise or their reputation for me, it feels like they actively struck a mortal blow against the games industry.

This - it's also part of raising these sorts of things up in the google search and driving the other views lower. It's all part of the googlebombing thing. We know IGN is not ever going to agree with what the customers want so why reward them with more views and more advertising dollars? 

Advertisers are willing to pay a certain rate to a website based on the number of page views it has. By giving IGN these page views, we're driving how much they can get for their advertising.

Also - does anyone know what is going on with the charity drive page? I've been trying to log on to make my donation and it won't go through.

Reposting, could I get some opinions on this?

Imagine that Mass Effect 1-3 is a painting. Now Bioware supplies the tools, the frame, the guidelines (the outliners of the painting f.ex the shape of a person face). Now they start an experiment where they charge people to fill in the painting. Colors, details, texture and the feelings of the painting. They promise the people participating that all their effort will impact the final outcome of the painting. This painting is an effort that spans 5 years where you pay 3 main charges to participate on different stages, or smaller charges for some extra detail (dlc).

Now just on the eve of completing the painting, literally minuttes away from completion, the artist that started the project kicks out the participants. Stating that you can't comprehend what he wants to do with it, that we don't know whats best for all the effort we put into it.

So he grabs the red, blue and green paint and paints 3 different crosses over the painting, scarring and in some cases wiping out all the effort of the participants.

That's the kind of project the Mass Effect series is.

In gaming we don't have the necessary laws and rules to protect us from something like this.

But if this happened elsewhere in the world, it would be considered a crime, a contract violation and people would sue the hell out of the artist responsible.

The problem with ignoring the bad ones is that it's like sticking our collective heads into the sand.  We need to know of these so we can counter them in the same positive, civil manner we've been doing.

You need to hold on Xyalon, take heart this movement is still getting stronger, if you got favorite uplifting music, play it now, heck put the headphones on and blast your ears with it.

I agree completly. Especially the crucible trap is such an interesting idea. Pull through regardless... that would have been nice. AND CLOSURE god this idea for Tali's home. Why could we not get it?

They encouraged me even more to give a few Euros to the Retake Mass Effect Charity thingy. I will gladly donate my money to Childs play, not only for the children but to keep the pressure on Bioware up. I like them, I like their products, I really do. I played many many games they made and even Mass Effect 3 is a masterpiece. But the ending...sheesh. That was disturbing.

Unfortunately the Chip in page for Retake Mass Effect is unavailable right now.

Sure hope there hasn't been a DOS attack...

Okay, some of you are feeling down because you cannot bring yourselves to play any of your games, I've not played any for the last couple of days, but this thread has kept my spirits up, plus it helps to contribute in different ways, for example I try to help out with posting reminders and information.

Your games are still there and you will be back mashing the fire button soon, there's a lot of folk standing together for the same cause here, let them be your strength.
