I dont know that I ever WAS a gamer.. Certainly i've got twenty to thirty games i;ve collected over the past five years, ani own every console, but, does that make me a gamer?? I'm extremely puicky about my entertainment, and the only three games i've purchased in the past year were Skyrim and Mass Effect 3 and Zelda: twilight Princess ( as a result of needing something to fill the void lefty by ME3 ). I perhaps expected more of these as they to me are the very best of the very best, but i'm not sure that makes me a gamer..

Anyone that's passionate amount games is a gamer, it's not about how many games you actually have. People throw 'casual' and 'hardcore' around a lot but it's always pretty vague where the line is, and people preaching about being the real gamers just kind of annoy me.

None of these reviewers have finished the game. You take a direct hit from a reaper laser, one powerful enough to cut a dreadnaught in half, and then suddenly wake up with a gun that never runs out of ammo or needs to be reloaded? You then find yourself on the citadel which is covered in piles of seemingly bloodied mannequins (not bodies - look closely, what do you make of it?) indicating 'they are not real' ergo 'none of this is real'?. If that's not clear enough Anderson and the Illusive man have somehow made it on board too?! This is apparently all fine with them and begs no further questioning.

Indoctrination complete.  Assuming direct control!

I keep watching this video about the endings over and over.

#1 - He's got a good "radio" voice.

#2 - He's got the right idea all the way pretty much about how we feel and what BW should have done.

It's long at about 30 minutes, but I think it's worth it, so reposting for those who may have missed.

I LOVE this please share it with anyone you know ans send it to @masseffect and other BioWare peoples.

It would've been such a great ending.

Just as for many people here, this ending removed any will to play video games since I saw it.

I'm pretty sure it won't last, but anything that can prevent me from playing video games during a weekend gotta be huge.

Hold the line.

Exclamation marks and overuse of passion is noted.  I did such on purpose in my writing of that particular area of the letter because I wanted to put emphasis on feeling.  I'll tone it back.

I'll keep you posted on the final product.  This will take me much longer than expected.  I continue to run across powerful "Points of persuasion", (as I call them), on the forums that are excellent ammunition to bring to the forefront of my letter.

This letter might even take me a day or two to perfect, BUT IT IS WORTH IT.

Please keep it up. You're awesome for doing this :)

And no need to rush it. You don't want to make the same mistake BioWare did and end up with a great letter that has a crappy conclusion, do you? :P

I think the people most likely involved behind a DOS attack are not likely to do that. Not to a charity based on games for kids.

Well, I was just thinking about some of the rage I've seen about our supposed evil intent to manipulate public opinion (and BioWare) by using a charity as a PR weapon. You're probably right, though.

Yes, but hitting a charity with DOS would immediately destroy any moral highground they previously would have. DOS would more likely target the tumblr site.

It's not often I'll watch a 30 minute video of a talking head, but he kept my attention throughout, good ideas and opinions.

I agree completly. Especially the crucible trap is such an interesting idea. Pull through regardless... that would have been nice. AND CLOSURE god this idea for Tali's home. Why could we not get it?

Certainly not.

WIthout trying to brag too much, I am regarded by my professors as a genius in the world of literature for a reason:  I take TIME and EFFORT to do what I do.  Persuasive writing is an art, and just like in "art" art, it takes TIME and EFFORT to paint a Mona Lisa.

I'd like to remind folk that sometimes we are going to get people who may attempt to disrupt this movement, but I ask that you treat their opinions with respect, opinions are neither correct or incorrect, they are "opinions", I'd also like to remind folk that it is against forum rules to call "anyone" a troll, no matter how badly they might act, if you have a problem with anyone, report them quietly using the report button or a pm to the moderators, do not engage them.

Nope, apparently what the consumers want does not drive the market according to EA and Bioware (sigh so much to learn they have... i mean does the movie industry make a movie that the public hate... well yes but its downrated and loses millions just as biowares titles will if they continue making such moves)

‎1.) ending sucked and did not mesh with the ME story and style
2.) ending even if acceptable(not good but acceptable) as a standalone does not fit in with the ME history
3.) choices are suppose to matter... and im not talking about 1 choice at the end... we are suppose to decide much of the fight throughout the game,
4.) fill in plotholes, such as why the hell didnt the relays go nova like in the arrival or why not nova the earth relay and take out the main reaper forces including thier leadership (hows that for a bittersweet ending shepherd has to sacrafice humanities homeworld to save the universe including all the human colonies)
5.) I can accept the survival being decided by readiness but saying i lived or died is not an epilogue.. whathappens to everyone , especially my romance who i dragged through 3 game, what happens to earth, do all the races die without the relay because they cant eat earth food(i know krogans at least needed it shipped iwth them )
6.) Bioware your rep as a company is shot, if you want to survive you should remedy the situation

- instead of making storydriven, immersive rpg you have moved on to generic action games

-ex DAO --> DA2 story and rpg removed(in order to apeal ot the mainsteam shooter crowd, like that worked lol if im not mistaken the sales for DA1 were better... least its reception was) , ME -->ME2 much rpg removed ---> ME3 choice driven story removed(oh and multiplayer added... and who uses it well no one in fact you have to hold contests and bribe us with stuff to get us to use it), SWKOTOR --> SWTOR same game essentialy although choice is removed with some new content(oh and a subscription fee tacked on for a game that is essentialy single player)

************If you want to to keep your customers fix the track you are upon, you thrived by being the only company to offer immersive choice driven stories, inside a beatifully illustrated and crafted rpg .... Now you make generic shooters that still have some story but have no choice and thus 1 generic story line and have fallen from thier rpg roots

[/list]

I listen to Stand Strong Stand Together from the ME3 OST when browsing this thread. It's beautiful, and for me it epitomizes how dedicated fans come here, post suggestions, help organize the Retake Movement, share their sorrow and disappointment with the ending, but also share funny and uplifting links and messages. Hold the line, people. Together we'll make Shepard proud.

I do the same thing. It is awe-inspiring.

Exactly the same here. My wife has just entered our living room and asked me "How come you are not playing?" My answer was just "Naaaah, I don't feel like playing".  She couldn't believe it as I had been playing quite a lot recently.

Maybe it is time to stop for a while, spend the time in this thread and fight for more endings than we have right now.

Also, still battling on facebook, this guy just doesn't GET IT.  <_<

I was looking forward to playin Shadows of Amn on one of my old Rigs after ME3, just to see how far they've come and what they kept to make them great.

Now I'm just looking at the CD box.

As for Facebook - keep in there but remember to be civil. Need additional support?

Thanks - I have had to be careful where I post, as some friends have not finished it so don't want to spoil it for them.  It was a friend of a friend, and now someone else it getting in on it too!

Best way to help is post on your facebook/twitter/blog as much as possible.  :D
