There's IGN attacking us again on youtube:

Went and voted it down, dislikes outnumber likes now.

Well what did they expect would happen??
They are the biggest hypocrits by letting some of their staff get casted in the game, who let's be honest did an awful job.
And i know she also does work for G4TV i don't care.

This is sickening. I have lost all drive to play games on any of my platforms right now. I pick up my PS3 controller and look at my 360 sorrowfully. I pick up my 360 and look at the Mass Effect 3 tin with despair. I load up Steam on this and I just can't bring myself to start up anything.

Hell, BioWare didn't just kill the franchise or their reputation for me, it feels like they actively struck a mortal blow against the games industry.

Exactly how I feel. They killed the gamer in me.

Makes three of us...I can't even play The Sims!
The little EA icon makes me annoyed...

I have mostly Bioware games installed on my pc. Without those I'll be left with only L. A. Noire, lol. And yeah, I don't want to neither play any of those games I have, nor buy a new one.

Assassin's Creed and Two Worlds II has been really helpful during my time of crises. Now, I am also waiting for Risen 2. The first one was beautiful. As many of you I just can't play any EA/Bioware title. Even my SW:TOR account is deactivated...

How could they do that to us? HOW??

None of these reviewers have finished the game. You take a direct hit from a reaper laser, one powerful enough to cut a dreadnaught in half, and then suddenly wake up with a gun that never runs out of ammo or needs to be reloaded? You then find yourself on the citadel which is covered in piles of seemingly bloodied mannequins (not bodies - look closely, what do you make of it?) indicating 'they are not real' ergo 'none of this is real'?. If that's not clear enough Anderson and the Illusive man have somehow made it on board too?! This is apparently all fine with them and begs no further questioning.

Indoctrination complete.  Assuming direct control!

Not sure what I think about the Indoctrination theory, I think it is better than what we have as standard but it would have to be handled well for me to accept it.  On this note tho, did anyone else try to shoot the keeper in the corpse strewn hallway on the citadel?  My infinite ammo carnifax, that doesn't need reloading didn't even get its attention...Image IPB

ok, I get the message.

ps. of course, this is just your opinion.

Feels so wrong to me when a gaming site ridicules their own audience. Like if I had a candyshop, and I would post videos on youtube which portray my own customers as obese gluttons with chocolate smeared faces.

I had the infinite ammo Paladin.

Try and make sense of that one :)

Unless it was the same model as Zaeed's AR that never ran out of ammo...

Just to discuss about something a bit "new": does anyone see a new proposal for endings made by fans that may suit with all our needs? Maybe it will allow to reach 2000 pages

Now if Shepard had gone down that hill towards the beam with Jessie in hand...  Things may have turned out differently...

Here are a few lines I thought up of:

"As gamers, we feel as if we have just sat down to a three course meal at a famous 5 star restaurant. The first, of course, is the appetizer, the second is dinner, and the third, the dessert!  (EDIT NOTE, EXPAND ON THE COURSES AND PARABLE SIGNIFICANCE)

The endings of Mass Effect weren't unlike finding a dead bug in the dessert. It "spoiled the entire meal", so to speak, and it is likely the only memory we will carry away from the experience as a whole. The least that can be done is to offer another dessert/ending to help make up for it."

I am working at including easily quotable sections of my letter for video game magazines and other reviewers to use.  This was one of them.  I'm on the fence about adding this to the letter. Ideas, everyone?

The reapers were trying to discourage Shepard to make it easier for them to break his mind and indoctrinate him, but when Shepard chooses one of the options it can result with him breaking free of the indoc with different outcomes: destroy option kills a couple of reapers and reaper ground forces, controlling allows Shepard to control a few reapers (more than destroy option) to protect some ally ships and synthesis allows Shepard to control a few of the ground forces (more than destroy option) eg banshees, husks etc to take pressure of ground forces.
Basically my examples:
Destroy: 5 reapers blow up and 2 reaper ground force platoons die
Control: 10 reapers help out in space battles
Synthesis: 5 reaper ground force platoons help out in ground battles
This can help you choose who you would like to help and make each option meaningful, as depending on which you choose can result in different squadmates and assets dying. Shepard then activates the crucible when it docks in reality.

We've actually reached a consensus of that sort: We cannot push for any specific ending----no one here is rallying for a particular ending that they would like to see.

We're rather arguing for an endgame that is logically sound, so that it allows for several diverse endings to unfold, as clear consequences, from the player's previous actions. That's the core demand of this thread, really.

I'm sending a masterwork letter to 30+ different people, organizations, and groups that might have any impact on convincing Bioware to change the ending.

Help me think of powerful ideas. :P

I just found my receipt stuffed in a pocket from when I went to pick up my copy of Mass Effect 3. Reminded me of standing around outside the store trying not to literally bounce up and down like a little kid, and how excited I was before getting it. I pretty much sped all the way home and went right to the Xbox, where I stayed for the next three days straight...

And now all I feel is this crushing disappointment.

Please, BioWare/EA - I love you guys and I love your products. Please make this right.

I like it, it is a pretty darn good metaphor and it sums how most of us are feeling about the ending.
