Can you just imagine if it turns out that it's the same crappy ending all around with just slight variations? How many people will NOT go back and replay ME or ME2. Too bad no one can measure how much replay is going on pre-ME3 to compare it to how much replay goes on after ME3 release. I'd say if the amount of replay drops off a cliff, probably did something wrong.

Again my theory is twofold, 1) they boxed themselves into a corner promising so much variety on endings that when it came time to deliver they were like oh CRAP, better just throw a disappointing ending out there for everyone and try to spin it as preplanned melancholy, and 2) they were trying to lay an easy foundation to build future ME franchise products off of.

Ah screw it. Whatever the ending I'm going to enjoy the game... I don't mind it. I'm still pretty hyped for the game.

I still only see two (and potentially one) ending in these links.  Normandy getting destroyed and the "red London" video could very well be the same ending.  The blue London video has no context as it's clearly in the middle of a cut scene.  Not even sure what to make of the video of Tali leading her troops.  That could be at the beginning of the battle for all we know. 

And in all 175+ pages I still have yet to find a link to a video, or even a picture, of the Normandy crew being stranded.

I'm not calling BS on anything.  Some of the videos are matching up with the leaked script, but there is still a lack of context for a lot of the videos, and no evidence of the Normandy being stranded outside of heresy. 

Again, I would really just suggest a wait and see approach. 

the red london bad ending is what happens when you royally **** up but have enough effective military strength to pick the destroy ending
i thought the other london was green because green is synergy as in the merge ending and blue is the control ending and im not implying that your calling bs ik theres lack of context im finding the epilouge of the old man and his son on the planet i saw the video but i dont have the link in my histroy its probboly in my favs so ill check that

That's a valid explanation.  We still don't get to see the videos in the context of what happens after, as in, these videos aren't showing the explosion and then what happens to the Normandy crew subsequently.  And that might not be possible because there's in-game action in between those cut scenes.  But I think that's the issue some posters have with the evidence we are being provided with.  These videos are unfinished clips in larger cutscenes.  Those videos that I'm quoting anyway.

My biggest issue is still with the Normandy crew being stranded.  There's been absolutely no visual evidence of it as of yet, so that's what I'm waiting on.  And I really hope it never shows up, because I too will find that to be a bleak ending for even my heartless self.

These endings just doesn't compute - any sane business would do anything to keep the majority of their customers happy with their products. Its in their own best interest. As it is with any other business. Especially in the gaming world - you mess with your fans you go broke. Call me what you will it wouldn't affect me at all - I'm talking business - you want your fans to keep coming back to your product then YOU better produce agreeable results. That's business, period. You fail to follow those rules you are no longer in business. BW doesn't have a decent ending then not one more penny from me - and I'm far from the only guy that will stick to this come hell or high water! Eh, bone those guys, I'd be most hacked off by the fact my favorite Shepard can't just keep the Reapers around to do important, necessary stuff for the good of the galaxy. You know, like...

...Indoctrinate that stupid, annoying reporter to do nothing but report Shepard's praises and how dumb and ugly she is for the rest of her life, before closing every broadcast by punching herself in the jaw.

...use the Reapers' super weapons to carve "ENKINDLERS SUCK" on the surface of Kahje's moon.

...reactivate (or rebuild) the mass effect relay, then rearrange it so all galactic traffic is rerouted through the Omega-4 relay.

...use Reaper super-intelligence to make all VI's in the galaxy the Shepard VI. Bugs included.

Shepard had to contend with a galaxy full of idiots for years. And died. Twice. She deserves a victory lap of epic galactic trolling before passing quietly back into dark space until the next time she gets bored for chrissake.

If I remember correctly, the tester has been right before and has also been very wrong.  And no, the early-access people have not played through every ending but they did mine the data and watch the videos for all the endings.  However, that doesn't really say anything about the Normandy's fate because it seems to be an in-game cutscene instead of an actual movie.

EDIT: It's so confusing, though.  Someone correct me if I have something wrong.

UA, I agree that Youtube can also be used for serious videos. Look at all the massacre vids by tirany around the planet. Sometimes YT is the only way to let the truth out there.

But you've been in this thread for the whole day. I ate, I slept, I showered, I went out, I came back... and you're still with the same broken record about these videos being "evidence"? The only evidence they show is that the game has binks on it.

Uploading extracted bink videos really proves nothing. It is no evidence. And reloading before the end and changing only the final decision is like playing TW2 only on Roche's path and saying that all endings lead to Iorveth dismissal.

I actually don't have much of an issue with the Normandy stuff, my issue is more with the relays and the tech. If the endings are precisely as described in the leaks and the info floating around here, then I'll have a long, critical, and frankly rather academic post to make on the subject of imagination versus mundanity in science fiction, and why science fiction exists in the first place. Expect more than a few Ray Bradbury quotes.

But, I have to see it for myself first.

Agreed. It's a tad bit annoying. These leaks, I wish they never exsisted. We're gasping at straws. We want info, and we're getting it any way possible. We read the rumored script, we read various rumors, we see 10 second clips and we think we now know all there is to know about the ending. We're dissapointed.

It's annoying. Firstly, why are people so badly seaching for the ending. Isn't there a thrill of discovering it on your own?

Secondly, why don't we just wait the few remaing days, play it, experience the full ending, from the beginning to the credits all the way to the menu screen.

Then come back and discuss what you thought. This just seems so...I don't know pointless in a way.

Well, this sucks.  Very interesting though compared with what someone said earlier about their friend (at eurogamer magazine?) saying there is a Disney ending out there.  The only way to bridge this gap is if something is either downloaded or unlocked on the official release day which enables the "happy" ending.  If that's the plan, it would explain why the space editions and such only have poo endings.

I think you're right on both fronts.
However, I honestly believe they could have prevented all this by just making one CANON ending for the series and basing all subsequent titles off of that ending. Doing so would give them massive amounts of leeway for other endings to be explored, as they now wouldn't have to worry about trying to tie in all the variables into one coherent future. Sure, they've been spoiling us with the whole 'import your own world' thing as of late, and I know it would ****** some people off to consider that one ending might be canon - but I'd take a canon ending over this whole debacle any day. In fact it really doesn't bother me at all. Not when it happened with Revan, nor when it happens in the Elderscrolls games where the main quests for one game are said to have been completed in the next - regardless of how many characters I make that purposely avoid it.

Either that, or they could also avoid this WHOLE thing by setting the next game thousands of years in the future - when all the specifies of the Reaper battle will have long faded into myth. They can easily come up with time line events to make all the possible endings fit this way, and still give us the endings we want for this game. It really isn't THAT hard.
