i do hope it's via redbubble and that the profit will go to child's profit ;)

Of course it is :) I also wanted to donate to Childs Play, but the Chipin site is currently down. Will have to put that on hold. Redbubble wont let me go to Paypal to check out :(

We're not hating them, we're hating the ending.

....and we're angry at people----most likely in managerial positions----who thought they could get away with shipping an essentially incomplete product.

Spoke to Vin Diesel publicist.. Interesting chat...send him email which he requested...lets see.
was very keen ...I dont want to jump for joy here as nothing is set in stone but ...
lets see..We just need one voice ...one bloody powerful voice which can cut the mustard here and give us game ,set and match. At the moment we are 2 sets to love and break p in 3rd .But the match is still going on and anything can happen...
This is what I wrote him :

Hello

Im writing to you with regards to computer game Mass effect 3 .

We area group of gamers who are currently donating money to the Childs Play Charity : http://retakemasseff...ect-childs-play with almost $67,000 dollars raised in 6 days !!!
This charity seeks to improve the lives of children in hospitals around the world through the kindness and generosity of the video-game industry and the power of play when gamers give back to make a difference.

We would like the developer to change the games ending as its it bleak ,dark and unacceptable and breaks the promises developer made to us about endings .
We aim to publicize our campaign through media and celebrity association in adiotion to global contribuitons to Child Play Charity.

This is a first protest like this in the history of gaming and Some good will come out of it as we are protesting with our wallets by donating to charity.

We have over fifty five thousand signatures and counting on developers forum: social.bioware.com/633606/polls/28989

The main website explains why we are doing this campaign.

We dont feel entitled we simply want full resolution to the game which we invested time and money and emotions over a period of 6 years.
We have had many articles written about about us in many publications and blogs over the internet recently.

Most recently Forbes have covered our campaign with the following article :http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2012/03/15/paragons-of-protest-retake-mass-effect-raises-money-for-kids/

CNN have also contacted as of yesterday: http://m.youtube.com...q0ehGsdKE&gl=GB
Metro magazine London :http://www.metro.co.uk/tech/games/893541-bioware-hints-at-changes-to-mass-effect-3-ending
Wired Magazine published the following :http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2012/03/bioware-mass-effect-3-ending/
USA TODAY:http://content.usatoday.com/communities/gamehunters/post/2012/03/bioware-no-decision-yet-on-mass-effect-3-ending/1#.T2fG6sVmKE8
to name the few important ones.

I have also been interview by BBC today in order to have an article on their website.

In addition to this we have also secured 44000 signatures on Facebook-Retake Mass Effect 3- and rising : http://www.facebook....ngToMassEffect3
Retake Mass Effect 3 is also on Twitter in support of changing the games ending.

This game is very Big and the endings are inconclusive, dark and devoid of choice and negate everything the player did through 6 years of playing this game.

Imagine Return Of The Jedi where Han dies, Leia dies ,Luke dies and Darth Vader dies, Rebel fleet gets stranded and abandoned somewhere and Ewoks are the only ones left to light the fires.
That just sums it up.

I know that Vin Diesel is an avid gamer and he loves video-games and his voice with regards to this campaign would help the children of Child's Play but would help us including him as a gamer to voice his opinion amongst the masses.
We are fighting the biggest game publisher and developer in the world Bioware EA making history.

We are not looking for money although cause is noble and god knows the kids need it. We would like him to voice support for us and the charity and what we are doing here.
I met him once maybe he remembers me ..in London in a shop on Kings Rd I had his voice of Riddick as my answer-phone from Pitch Black ..he liked it...good few years ago and we had a laugh about it.

Thank you

Warmest Regards

Hey guys, I just had a thought;

I don't know if the writers even care about this whole thing, or if it's really bothering them...but on the off chance that Drill Sergeant fellow was correct about how they're all feeling, then I think we should take a moment to remember something.

They did make 95% of the game one of the best, if not the best, video game experiences since the creation of this particular medium.

Even though we hate the last 5% because, quite honestly, as it stands at this moment it feels like it was just tacked on...what with the plot holes, and lack of closure...and the cookie-cutter style ending cinematics...we should take the opportunity to remind them that this isn't personally directed at them; that our anger is really with the game ending itself, and the false promises that were made in pre-release interviews.

I dunno...I just remembered that they're human beings, too...and the thought of 90% of the fanbase or so hating them could be quite...well...painful.

Doesn't mean we're wrong for being upset, or for wanting things to change to something more logical...just means we should show that we are the considerate human beings I know we are.

to be honest, so far it hasn't really been personally directed them. it was just a 'the ending sucks'. without passing judgement on who actually wrote the ending.

and i'm trying to keep a straight face here, but who actually wrote that and thought that it would be a 'good' or even 'appropiate' ending? okay, i know, know i'm passing judgement.. but seriously.. just watched jjs and archengais videos again.. and i... i don't know.. my english sucks way too much to even begin formulating an appropiate response.

Agreed.  The guys and gals of Bioware have provided me with countless hours of entertainment and an epic universe which was a joy to get lost in.  It is just the feeling at the end ruining the memory.  Like getting off an awesome rollercoster ride only to be slapped in the face on the way out...Image IPB

Same Vin Diesel from xXx?
If so it helps I enjoyed the ending to xXx... the first one anyway.. I hated the ending to the second one (snickers).. no secret service is going to be like "Let's have an emergency escape route that can only go on a predetermined course!

Ditto. I praise the hell out of all the people who did all the voices and whoever wrote the dialog. Made the game awesome. Not too mention all the artist who made the Normandy look badass and created all the environments. Still, that ending man...

I know...did you read the rest of the post? ^^

They may misinterpret us as hating them for the ending...and I wanted to reaffirm that wasn't the case...that was the whole point of that :)

I made this point before and I'll make it again, imagine or remember that project you worked on and all the effort you put into it, you step back and look at the project in pride, then one person says that does not work, it does not look right, now imagine 100 thousand people telling you the same thing, that is what the folk at bioware are experiencing right now.

I am sorry to say that is just splitting hairs. Do you blame the bullet for harming a person or the individual firing the weapon?

Do you blame the ink for leaving crappy writting behind, or the failure of the handler at writting?

You can name it what you wish, you can change or try to appease them in an effort to get them on your side. IF it makes you feel better at an already vague opportunity for them to correct their mistake. But the anger is directed at them, even if misguided, your anger is directed at the one using the pen. The one who used the mouse to draw. The one who advertise on a game he or she knew would not deliver at the very end

It is their fault, and the anger is personally directed at them, even if you dont want to admit it.

After all the game didn't write itself and ask the developers for "help" it was their hand who made it great and it was their stupidity that draged it down.

Shepard gets a splinter while sawing some wood, dies because it's dextro wood from Rannoch and is deadly poison to Levo's...

Even THAT would have been better ending, lol :D

I'd compare it more to the rollercoaster stopping by way of smashing into a wall.

Hey everyone. Been lurking since page 600 or so... And I've yet to talk to someone who liked the endings (in person) from the beehive state. What we're doing here is amazing. I genuinely believe we're making gaming history, in a positive way. Keep calm, remain civil, and keep holding the line!

My stints on the line have been brief so far, apologies, i'll be racking up the hours as of tomorrow, just about to begin a new search for updates in the past 12-15 hours, any news? last i heard was the little fb stunt with Jess responding that there will be a statement on Wednesday.

Check Yahoo. What you find shan't be pretty.

A small, vocal percentage? Oh dear me, they then provide stats that demonstate its large backing (childs play, fb groups, petitions etc)

I think most of us would agree that going to the feds is a very bad move though, this kinda publicity is really harming the movement. I said the other day how a group can very easily be stereotyped because of individual actions, i hope this doesn't happen here

I got the one with "Never forget" although I thought about getting the one that says "Maurauder Shields", but I guess Never Forget is a better story to tell. It just worked, got the shirt in red. Sucks that Germany is on the list of delayed shippings, but whatever. I got my hero to wear :D

None of us would be here if we didnt love the galaxy that the writers created.  If anything they should take this movement as a compliment.  It would take something amazing that was worth fighting for to bring all of us together.  Now they just need to finish it with the same care that they created it with!
