So we can't get the ending we want after all?

That would be rather impressive. It just goes to show that no matter the differences we all have, this is one area that we ALL can be unified in.

I made this point before and I'll make it again, imagine or remember that project you worked on and all the effort you put into it, you step back and look at the project in pride, then one person says that does not work, it does not look right, now imagine 100 thousand people telling you the same thing, that is what the folk at bioware are experiencing right now.
It may hurt, but anyone worth their salt would at least listen to the voices of those who were disagreeing with you. They may change it, they may not, but they would listen and if they had any respect for the people they made it for they would at least engage in open debate to defend their decisions.
BioWare haven't done this yet, and I'm not saying that they won't. What I am saying is that if 100k people think so highly of your work and take issue with something they feel is beneath you, something which you made for them, if you have any pride as a craftsman then you will see that beneath the criticism is love and behind that love is support and something that could drive you to greatness.
If a kid hands in sub-par work at school, any half-decent teacher would ask why, give feedback and maybe try to help get them back on track. They wouldn't just shrug it off and say nothing for fear of hurting their feelings.
Took the words right out of my mouth...

And don't pay much attention the sites like Yahoo... Just more people pointing fingers and putting their two cents into things they don't understand. What matters is the fight that's going on here and what the developers see. I mean, seriously, if someone gets on your case about being a whiner and never actually played ME3 or seen the ending, then they have no place to say anything.
I do find it ironic, though. We're the ones being portrayed as wrong. Consumers protesting in a civil and productive way, with thoroughly thought out reasoning as to why we feel the way we do. Yet those who oppose us, like the Facebook group, call us entitled whiners and fling other insults... And we're the bad guys.
It's kind of sad that consumers that paid for something they were promised and then complain that they didn't fully receive what they expected makes them horrible people. I guess in this corporate controlled world we're supposed to just shut up and take what we get. It's like going to a favorite restaurant where you have your choice of dinner and desserts. You love the main course, but when dessert comes around you're suddenly told you can't have the dessert you wanted because the restaurant is trying to keep it more artsy-- so you're forced to choose between three desserts you didn't expect or like. And worse yet, they come in three different colors, but all taste the same. Is that person wrong for being upset and demanding what he originially ordered?
I, for one, will continue to hold the line. And I'll continue to be civil and productive with my comments.

'bleak' to describe our problems with the endings as, at least in my
experience, any inherent bleakness in the ending is but one concern of
many. Moreover, we have Casey Hudson on record saying the ending was
intentionally bleak and, thus, that's all that he's willing to talk
about. To me, it seems that whether the ending is too happy/sad is in
the eye of the beholder/a matter of personal preference. Therefore, I
think we'd do well to focus our objections on facts, rather than things
that can be dismissed as opinions. For example:
A. the ending is a departure from the themes of the series (free will, synthetic and organic cooperation, etc).
B. no choices the player makes over the course of the series influences the ending.
C.
at present, based on the established physics of the universe, we're
left with no choice but to kill a majority of everyone in the galaxy,
destroying everything we've done since the beginning of the series.
D.
the ending is full of continuity problems (teleporting characters,
Joker acting against his previously established morals, etc)
E. there is no closure to the choices the player makes in the story/related consequences
Arguing
about bleakness appears to be playing on their terms, as that's the one
topic they seem more than happy to discuss. Most important, we don't
have any quotes from Hudson/BioWare promising the ending won't be bleak,
whereas we do on other topics. Therefore, at least in my opinion, these
are the issues we should be pressing them on, for these are the issues
they're unwilling to address.

We've still got the best part of a month to go. It will always slow down but people are finishing the game and coming to the movement/finding out about the movement and charity every day. Have faith.

Welche von den vielen (auf FB)? Hab ich das richtig gesehen, pro Shirt gehen 2-3 Euro als Gewinn weg?
As for the voice that should speak for us, there are a few people that appear to be charismatic enough. Mentioned earlier in this thread, there is another thread with a PR person analysing the stuff that is going on, atghunter or something like that. We also have this military guy that left active duty 5 years ago. Cant recall his name but I'm sure somebody will know who I mean.

And I agree, all I'm saying is that they need a little time to get over the initial sting of the feedback, I'm not talking about a company here, i'm talking about each individual that was involved in the development of this game, they are basically watching their efforts go down the pan at the moment, this is why I'm glad when folk post that 98% of the game was awsome, a half decent teacher also gives encouragment.Xyalon wrote...

I'm talking about the individuals too. I say BioWare but I mean every single person in the team who helped develop this series.
And yes, I'm glad that we are constructive with our feedback and not totally destructive.
