I'm just so sad. If this were a different reality where ME3 ended appropriately, tonight would be completely different. I would come home from a hard day back at work and reward myself with another play through of my favorite series. Maybe I'd try the adept or the vanguard class? Maybe I'd have fun playing the MP where I'd meet great new friends and discuss what we loved most about the game or how my ending was different from theirs.

But alas...it's a stormy night and all I can do is sit with my IPad, drink a glass of wine, and watch some rerun seasons of Big Bang Theory.

Just how different this night could have been...

Well now!  My inbox on here just pinged.  Guy named Jaric666 just sent me the following link which I just confirmed on Google.  Apparently at least one guy has gotten a full refund on Amazon for his opened copy of Mass Effect 3.  Well I'm not going to give up my copy just yet, it may become an option if I don't see progress

I'm not sure if anyone saw this, but Dragon Age II's Expansion, "Exalted March," has been canceled.  The team has been diverted to the next project in the franchise.

Wow...I can say that I have never seen a game drop like that until at least 6 months or a year after release.  Ever.  It is amazing that a simple statement from Bioware could end this and resore faith or just end it for good.  Yet the silence remains.  Unbelieveable really.

Off-topic: I havn't kept up with anything DA2 for ages, was it definately an Exalted March expansion? 100%? Last time I heard was only rumor.

I think you might be mistaken.  The only place I've seen reference to anything being done on Wednesday is in this thread.

*hands you a bag* let it out - then realise - what we're doing here; right now.....Is important.  Years from now they will talk about this - revolution.  Hold the Line will either become greatest line for hope - against corp greed or just become known as another failed attempt.  They will say well they had a chance to make a difference but gave up.

I look at my 5 year - I know why I'm doing this.  I want him when he gets a bit older to play these games with me - to see why these games are so good - to share those moments of joy, shouting "HELL YEA!" at the monitor; to the tears of sadness.

These works are not just their works - but all of ours - because of the way they were created; interactive - we create an unique story..  

I know BW and EA care about their work - it shows - but promises were made; and broken.  Know this; we've also made a promise - We won't break them - Please give this game the ending it deserves.  Please keep us as fans; because that's what we want.  

We don't want to cut the ties with BW/EA - as I've said; I've played every BW game - there is some DLC I haven't bought; but want to.  I am subbed to TOR - EA got Syndicate; Kingdoms of An - I WANT THOSE GAMES - but I will not part with another dollar/cent/pound  to BW/EA until this is resolved. 

Fix/Expand  the ending - and you will have a customer possibly for life - because you will have shown BW is the studio that truely listens and cares what their customers are say.

I haven't been following DA2 either.  With everything going on, this announcement is peculiar to say the least.  It could be a cooincidence, but could BioWare be assessing resource allocations/priorities at the moment?  Again, with the lustre on their brand losing it's shine daily, all I can say is Hmmmmm.

sent my email to bioware today.
I presented myself as a loyal customer who was simply concerned with the way the franchise had ended, and why me along with everyone else who is a part of 'retake me3' are doing what we're doing. I included the exact word for word main bullet point objectives of the campaign as well.

I ended it on a hopeful note, saying that i believed in them making a good conclusion to the series we all know and love, and that i still believe even now that they still can. i tried to appeal to their human side hope it was good enough to at least get a read from someone at bioware and to be noted.

If those questioning their resolve need any proof that we're having an effect (besides, simply making it into the news), the severe discounting in prices is clearly a result. Good news is then, assuming BW cares about it's fans and EA cares about its wallet, we're hitting them on both fronts -> change should be on the way, we've just got to hold the line 'til then.
