Anyone else notice a shift in Bioware's tone over the past 24 hours? This retweet is just the latest example. :-(

They're probably being all smug about their success in the N7 multiplayer weekend.

Stuff like this and the retracted facebook thing from earlier is really making things suck for me right now.  I am getting the vibe that BW doesn't really give a flying monkey what we think and are very much messing with us.  The ending left me disapointed, it is becoming difficult to fight the slow decline into bitterness.Image IPB

About the 900k people not checking in, its simple, not a whole lot of players actually use these forums, i wasnt here for me2 for instance, or me1/da/da2 because i didnt feel the need to speak my thoughts, i was happy, even da2 was yeah.. meh, i could live with the whole thing, but with me3, it just pushed me over the edge and beyond that i needed to be heard, so i just looked and hey, they actually have a forum about all this, lets get involved i thought... have been holding the line for weeks now, barely getting any sleep.

Also a friend of mine that just finished the game wouldnt have guessed there was a forum for this either, im sure theres alot more of those...
And on that, that friend didnt find the ending that bad untill i explained all the flaws, so spread the word why its flawed!

*holds the line*

Yeah, got so fed up with Bioware/EA that I cancelled my ToR subscription today.

They won't get another cent out of me until I see solid proof that we are getting an ending.

i'm always rather sorry that it comes to such things.. and then i remember the newest action figures.. and how i really, really want to have them.. but don't feel like there's any point and.. god, i'm starting to ramble again..

am i the only one that just talked her flatmate to death for two hours?

I posted a link to our fight on my Facebook, and none of my FB friends are gamers.

I have spent virtually all damn day explaining to each and every one that responded what I was talking about.

And I'm not tired of it yet.  I mean, I'm sick of it, just not sick of it.

Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the eyes!

I see your salmon and raise you a miniature giant space hamster!

Ahem... sorry, it's late and the salmon of sanity reminded me of Minsc which reminded me of Boo and... I'll just shush now. :D

Hold the line!

I still play the multiplayer because I am going to get some use out of the 80$ I spent on the stupid thing. They can use those statistics as a false hope for DLC sales, but I can guarantee they'll never get anything from me again.

Reports say they're selling the game for $40 at the moment, that's ludicrous for the second week of a game as big as this, clearly we're having an effect, just be patient.

I hadn't seen that before.  Super good video as it relates to our common cause!

So I skipped to read the last bit of the article:

"In the end, I suspect that, deep down, many of those who complain are simply sad that it is over."

NOPE.

I've been talking my dad to death about this, I talked his ear off about this movement so much that he's telling me how he never wants to hear the words Mass Effect again...

I love this article. I love the author's clear claim that Mass Effect 3 is over and we are all just sad to see it go. If only we could all just accept that the game is ending, and stop demanding that Bioware change their ending. Except I remember a tiny little message at the end of Mass Effect 3 that tells the player to "continue the Mass Effect 3 experience by purchasing more DLC", I am surprised that the author and Priestly fails to see the irony in that statement. For a lot of fans if Bioware doesn't fix the ending, then it is true that Mass Effect 3 will be over for both the developers and the fans, since I know that I certainly won't be purchasing anymore DLC to continue Shepard's story unless they fix the ending.

I'm quite fine with it being over.  What I'm not fine with is that when something comes to an end, it should MAKE SENSE AND PROVIDE A SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT

Someone called the ending two years ago.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry really; they gave him exactly what he didn't want.

Funny $40 because they failed the last five minutes of the game. Personally, I was disappointed with the entire earth sequence; the suicide mission kept me on my toes. I wanted a suicide mission 2.0!

we feel with you. we really do. most of us didn't feel any different after the ending.
so i ask you to hold the line with us. let's work together, to get mass effect 3 the ending it deserved, to answer the remaining questions, to fill the plotholes and get our shepard the future he always wanted.
be it little asari children, an adopted krogran war orphan, a simple house on rannoch or something else.

so i ask of you, will you submit to bioware/ea or will you hold this line?
(if yes to holding the line, the austrian infiltatros offer you a warm cup of coffee or cold, austrian beer.)

Welsh infiltrator divison will take House on Rannoch, Adopted Quarian War Orphans, Uncle 'karian playing with the kids and a cold mug of Gösser. After all, Gut, besser, Gösser :P

While I don't agree with what they did with the ending, is anyone surprised they want to cling to whatever positive reviews they can find?

no, we all love a pat on the back, some more than others... and hey, some of us may have to pay people to spread the good word but what really matters is that it is right there in black and white for everyone to read and know how wonderful we all really are. (that is snarky banter)
