Somebody answer this. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IF YOU HAVE A TWITTER ACCOUNT ANSWER THIS

Suggestions on what I should say? I'm a bit annoyed so I don't want to make a fool of myself and rage at him lol

Lets be honest Chris. If it was a "small" amount of people that were disatisfied or "disgruntled" this would have all blown over by now. I know that this game is one of the biggest projects anyone could be involved in but don't ignore us and don't patronize us by over generalizing on "Some didn't dislike it."

That Some makes it sound like its more than it actually is. Which is in the ratio of 1 out of every 10 if the IGN polls are anything to go by. That's not even mentioning the Poll on your own Social network where the numbers of dissatisfied fans dwarf the satisfied ones to obscene amounts.

So, fwiw, I e-mailed Drew Karpyshyn. He didn't work on this game, but I'm sure he knows the developers of ME3. Hopefully he replies and gives some answers on whether or not the ending was just bad work by the team. I was as fair as possible and emphasized my prior approval of the series, so a response would be great.

I don't want to be a d*ck, but I had spent some time on his website a while back, and his comments on 'fanmail' weren't encouraging at all. :(

We've had a former BioWare designer comment on ME3, which amounted more or less to: "you were supposed to make a computer game, folks, you failed; that ending doesn't work as the ending of a game". But that guy, to my knowledge, had quit quite some time ago. Karpyshyn probably wouldn't 'burn the bridges' as easily.

Hope we get some answers soon.

You are right, the problem is I don't think anyone in Bioware is actually thinking any more. They are just reacting, and poorly. Someone said a few posts ago that tempers are rising and we should keep it cool, and I agree. However, for what I haven see lately, it seems temper in bioware is rising a lot more, and there are storms over their heads.

In times such as these, I wish I was a little fly, so I could see their faces in person and attend their meetings. They cornered themselves badly, and now they are totally clueless. And worst of it all, is that they believe (I don't know how, since it fails all kinds of logic) that they are the ones on the right side, and we are abusing them...

I don' think ever a company in the gaming industry ever faced such an organised movement and with such numbers. We will hold, and we will win. That's no doubt in that. Because, if we lose, they will lose even more.

We may lose the game we love, but they will lose everything. For them is a no-win situation. They just haven't realised it yet.

No-one can shut down a charity unless it is seen to be corrupt or fake. The only thing BW/EA could do is approach the charity itself and ask it to stop accepting donations under the name of the Retake Movement. This would still knock out any moral high ground they have though and would effectively boost any claims stating that they killed not just a game but the gaming industry as they harmed a charity which gives games to kids in hospital. Also, the charity is who has the final say on the matter. They could refuse to do it and tell everyone what was said, which would be just as bad for BW/EA. So don't worry about this ever happening. There may be PR execs and Business Advisers who are have thought about this move, but they'd never get past the brainstorming phase.

Hey, guys,

Just another friendly reminder to stay civil and awesome. We're allowed to be as professional or as ranty as we like with each other in places like these forums, but remember that although we place the weight of the whole company on their shoulders, any one person doesn't necessarily speak for Bioware all the time.

So yeah, stay chill, keep being amazing, and Hold the Line.

With all due respect to those who say we are sad because of the ending, but I ask, Are they stupid or what???

This trilogy was supposed and meant to have a really high reaplayability value. Even considering this to be the last game, we would be playing it and replaying it for years to come.

But those journalists, those so called experts have to keep hitting the same old key saying we are disgrunted either because we had "no happy ending" or we are just sad because the trilogy is over. Instead of pulling comments like this from their hats (rather say hat that what I actually have in mind) whyt don't they take the time to read we we have to say. I still think this is just another way of Bioware/EA trying to discredit us. They keep trolling us, posting evil tweets only to have them deleted later, and some of them are actually offensive to the player base.

I wonder if anyone working for them have any idea what Public Relations really mean. They don't want our feedback, they don't want to liste, they want us to submit. And I refuse to do so.

Our numbers are growing each day, and each day they have more customers to deal with. It feels like we are in a pan, and it's boiling more and more. Either they let it cool off by doing what we ask of the, or it will explode. And that won't be a beautiful site..

/Salute

Seems part of a disturbing trend in journalism (and I hate to use that word to refer to it) these days. Maybe there's a term for it, but basically it amounts to relying on conventional wisdom to build a story rather than actually doing research to gather facts. We see it all the time here in the US. Stories and people are characterized by what seems "obvious" or by virtue of some similarity with other stories or people. "This is like that in they they both appear to be [whatever]." It's rampant on the Internet, but becoming more common in other media. In our case, on the surface it looks like a group of whining fans want to get their way, so why bother to go beyond that appearance and see what's really going on? Entitled whiners make you mad, anyway, so it's easier to just sit down at the keyboard and start railing against these horrible people, these strawmen you've stood up so that you can knock them down.

It's disgusting, really.

Thank you very much and as everyone else is doing I will hold the line as well and hope for a more conclusive ending that isn't vague and shadowed like I am talking to the Architecht in Matrix 2.

I have a feeling you'll get a kick out of this...

That made my night. I laughed very hard.

I thought I was prepared. I still think I managed to spit on my screen while trying to contain the laughter...

I wonder what reason he gave amazon. Amazon's refund/return policy is flexible, and they obviously care about the customers. I really hope this doesn't turn into a full-blown return campaign. :?

I don't know about you, but I live in America so I have had zero respect for the media from the beginning. I'm just happy we're getting positive press at all.

However, I did have a high respect for Bioware and its employees and that has taken a significant drop.

Yeah, just shy of mass slaughter, the media deams some celeb flicking a booger to be more important. And, of course, we were wrong to criticize booger flicking.

But Bioware? I believe the rEApers have indoctrinated them.

We hold grievances with the current ending and EA/BioWare because:

The game's ending fails to meet what we were promised as consumers.
The game's ending fails to meet our expectations as fans.
The response from BioWare needs to change.
We
have jobs, families, responsibilities. We dedicate our time to this
cause because we genuinely care about Mass Effect and its story.
We want to see a product that we, as human beings, as consumers, as fans, and as players can be proud of.
We
wish to see a conclusion to the game that does the rest of the series
justice - in terms of concluding the story and providing the players
with both choices and consequences to prior choices.
Retake Mass Effect 3 - Hold the line.

Just in case you forgot :P

Guys, why would Bioware not released an ending DLC? Can someone come up with a reason besides "they don't want to"?
I feel like it is in their best interest to release it. Especially if it's paid; they will make tons of money not only from the DLC itself, but also because ME3 sales will go back to normal (because ppl who didn't want to play will be playing now, with the new and awesome ending)

giving us anything is going to make it seem like we won.  no matter how they try to spin it, trying to keep up the image of losers living in the basement or adults who are uanble to accept a sad story (in essence they are treating us like children).  no large company does well when it has to say we were wrong, it will take a hit. maybe even slow down growth as far as expansion etc. if there is any being planned in the future.  I haven't looked at the finanacials myself but I could do so.  They are a publicly traded company and it would be easy to check. If you like.  might not be bad for our future strategy to know just what they have cooking.  if they are like alot of current U.S. companies they may have massive debt on the books and this could impact ability to rasie future capital through stocks and bonds.

BioWare and EA are not stupid , this thing has reacHed CNN, MSNBC and Forbes its turning into a embrassment for them at the worst possible time.  PAX in soon and gearing up for E3 ... the last thing they want is the Flagship title in the middle of negative press.   They are going have to do something  with in the next couple weeks and definately before Pax next month.

Honestly  I see them doing a huge expansion pack like deal to be released around   Holiday season. It gives them time  work  on it.
