Guys I JUST got a new terms and condition....did anyone else get it and read it?

Probably some way to limit RetakeME3 tags in multiplayer or something.

It said that no threats against the PRs are allowed...who is ACTUALLY threatening these guys...they have some issues.

On here?  That's been around since Mar 2.  If you're threatening anyone you need a salmon of sanity.  It's at the top of all the posts, you probably just accidentally clicked it and expanded it.

Can someone answer this for me?

So Shepard is lying nearly dead at the control panel after Anderson dies. He says he doesn't know what to do and collapses. Then the elevator starts going up. Is it assumed that the Starchild activates it or is Shepard really some kind of Space Jesus? If the Starchild is the one who activates it, why? If he had let Shepard lie there and bleed out his precious cycle could have continued.

Supposing Shepard did miraculously activate it himself, why does the Starchild even explain anything to him? Odds are if he lets Shepard wander alone there with no direction nothing would change and Shepard would bleed out. Why does Starchild actively help Shepard? Please someone help me understand this.

Two Words: SPACE MAGIC!:wizard:

Meaning: there is no explanation. That's the problem.

While this looks like trolling, it's actually not.

We really don't understand much about the ending.

The best theory we have is the Indoctrination Theory.

I'm sure you've got it pretty much all nailed. Just reiterrate that we're not looking for the existing endings to be removed, they can be kept for existing fans, but merely more choice in the matter. Basically don't allow any room for misinterpretation. Feel free to look here for what I'm getting at.

Apart from that I'm sure you know how to hold yourself.

pretty much all i had up till now. but damn..

thank you for your input, i'll try to keep it in mind.. :/

-edit-  Okay less bitter and sarcastic answer:  No one except BioWare knows.

I wonder what Matt Stone and Trey Parker think about all this.

I bet Cartman will support Bioware and EA Image IPB

Ya know... I can see that episode of South Park just pissing me off, regardless of how the episode goes.

And I can see Cartman being the one who throws a whiney fit over the ending, and Kyle/Stan/Kenny(maybe, might be one of the episodes where Kenny sides with Cartman) are like "Whatever dude, it's just a game."

If South park isn't upsetting someone it's not doing its job.  Canada's still remembering "Blame Canada".. one day you're going to wake up and find out we took over Maine.. no one will care!  But you'll all be like "wow.. didn't see THAT coming" *snickers*Image IPB

Our movement has not only making Bioware take notice for Mass Effects failed ending but Dragon Age 3 is goin to be better now because of it. Bioware canceled an expansion called "the Exalted March" for DA2 and said they are putting their forces else where. B)

For those who like abstract thinking, the Indoctrination Theory isn't bad. I for one view it as accidental sense-making of the acclaimed "Watched Too Much Matrix" Theory.

I hate posting anything in a forum, but I thought this was worth bringing up.

We've gone through this "cycle" at least once before. The Neverwinter Nights 2 community went through nearly the exact same situation with Bioware. NWN2, a relativeily buggy game (ME3 has its fair share of bugs that reviewers have too easily excused) was delivered with an ending that made almost everything you did meaningless (Look it up). Fans complained and threatened various actions and such, but not much came of it, except some patches to fix bugs. The problem with the ending was not "fixed" until the Mask of the Betrayer expansion came out and extended the story, while explaining what exactly happened to your party members in the OC. Someone could probably dredged some of those old posts up, but Bioware has been down this road before, just never with social media as it is today.

Anyway, I hope they fix it. I suspect they intended some special expansion as DLC or whatever from the beginning. I believe they knew what they were doing with the ending and left the narrative open so they could extend it (not change it), or else they wouldn't have provided the "Breath" ending. But I also think they never expected the outcry over the ending(s) to be so loud. But then again, the ending(s) were terrible, objectively terrible. It's not a matter of taste or preference; there are things technically wrong with the endings as they are now. And it's my opinion that the ending to a work of fiction is at least as important as its beginning, as if the beginning of the Mass Effect saga was as "polarizing" as its current ending, the series would have never seen a sequel.

Hold the line for those who came before and those who will undoubtedly come after.

If things continue to go this way for us I believe Retake Mass Effect should be then called the Retake Fleet and help police the quality of the games.:police:

I don't think I could bring myself to return it to be honest, I mean I am pretty sure the place I bought it from would be happy to refund it. I just won't do that, I loved ME3 it was just the nonsensical ending I loathed

Thing is, this is why we as consumers have no power over companies that keep selling us crap.

We, as a society today have no clue how to go without.  None.  Nadda.  Zip.

We are so used to having everything, right at our fingertips, all the time and whenever we want it.

We buy things without any thought as to the industries we are supporting, like ones that ship incomplete or totally buggy games.

If you want to send a message as a consumer, you've got to sacrifice, and sacrifice big over the long haul, and sadly, no one is really willing to do it in the numbers needed to effect real change in the world.

We've got the most powerful weapon, but not enough people willing to do without to use it.

That would be fine as long as they add one detail: Butters being hospitalized because of the ending.

I was actually thinking of this on my way home tonight.

Instead of just "Retake Mass Effect" it should be "The Retake Gaming Movement" or something of the sort.

I guess it would be hard to get the entire ME fan base to agree on everything though.

Hold the line.
