Apparently IGN will be having a livestream discussing the ending with viewers on Friday. In my opinion, I don't think any of us should go and participate (but hey it's your choice if you want to). This reeks of dirty PR tactic.
Maybe someone saw our earlier comments about going to their publication's sponsors to complain about them haha.
Be careful who you step on when you climb the ladder of life, when you mistep, they may not be there to catch you and you will fall.
I suspect it'll be a heavily moderated campaign with 13 year olds spouting "YOU SUCK Buttware..etc".. speaking for our side... but hey, I may be wrong, I can always hope.
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Of course its a trap - but we can easier turn it on them - with intelligent answers - making your enemies look stupid; will make them angry........and when they are angry they will make a mistake. That is when you go in for the kill...
This is obviously a trap. However, it is an opportunity for us as well. As long as everyone involved with the Retake movement is civil, level-headed, and doesn't fall for their baited questions intended to ****** us off, we could actually gain momentum for ourselves.
Granted, they'll probably say "the devs wanted there to be speculation from everyone." However, the important thing is this: a little speculation is ok, even good. A LOT of speculation, is baaaaaaad. And the plot holes in this ending require one hell of a lot of speculation for them to make sense. That and Space Magic

Since IGN has an employee involved with the game they should just declare that they have a conflict of interest and stay on the sidelines.Geinen wrote...

It does have a bad vibe to it. I imagine it would be easy for it to spiral out of control. The very control we are working to maintain here.

I'd like to mention that I was disappointed back when Arrival DLC came out because Shepard was forced into blowing up Batarian space. I wonder now if that was a sign of what was to come with Shepard being railroaded into specific actions/endings.

Hehe - thanks; but its true - you can easily control these things - control the answers - turn the tables on them - its debating 101.
There is two ways to win a debate - first way is with facts and logic. If you can prove your side with that - its usually a slam dung - Second way......a much more dangerous way is the emotional win - This way can even win when faced with facts if you got something that can created that overwhelming emotional response.
Even faced with facts - its hard to defeat that second type without using the second tatic with the first one - if you can do that........then you're unstoppable.

Just wanted to drop in and say I'm definitely part of this movement. I went out of my way to avoid being spoiled before I played the game, unfortunately. (I bought the Collector's Edition, by the way.) I thought I'd messed up after I chose synthesis, AKA: green laser. So I reloaded the save and played through that half-an-hour again, choosing destroy, AKA: red laser. I was disgusted to see the exact same cut-scene. (I won't belabor the point, but how did Bioware think that lazy, low-quality ending would fly?)

I've read something about BW cancelling a DA dlc to concentrate on "some more important things". Is that true? If so, are they talking about doing something about the ending?
Yes, it's true.

Thanks a lot.
But it sounded more like they are planning a new version of Baldur's Gate, updated to today's possibilities, than doing something for ME.
I for one would love it. And I don't like the DA series that much. So, it would be a double win.

If you are going to play Mass Effect 3 single player, play it offline. That way you don't add to data collected by bioware.
If you are going to play multiplayer, go into "extras", "online options" and turn off "data collection".
Anything helps to move our cause forward.

Yeah the FTC thing seems rather extreme. But, to be honest, this whole situation makes me a little uncomfortable. I'm definitely standing with you guys, voting in every poll, donating to Child's Play, adding constructive feedback and all that because I feel really strongly about the endings.Fox544 wrote...
I may get
yelled at for this but is anyone else kinda curious to see what would happen if the FTC decides to get involved? I mean it could change the entire entertainment industry forever in ways never imagined.
But at the same time, BioWare has been my all-time favorite game company for years. I didn't think twice about taking vacation time to play ME3. They were the one game company whose products I would buy based on their name alone, no reviews needed.
I remember after I finished KOTOR2 with its original, abrupt ending, all I could think was.. "WTF?" Swiftly followed by "BioWare would never have done something like that."
And now here I am.
I really hope Bioware/EA can take a step back and understand how much those endings failed to resonate with a significant part of their player base. But at the same time, I hope we aren't encouraging irreparable damage to their reputation, you know?
I mean, if the best case scenario happens, and they deliver DLC that magically meets everyone's hopes and dreams, would there be as many people here passionately writing requests to various press outlets to feature
BioWare in a positive way, as a company who takes fan critiques to heart? Or would everyone just say 'about time!' and fade off, leaving the bad metacritic scores and polls for late comers to find?
Anyway sorry to ramble. Still holding the line! I just hope it is worth it in the end - for both sides. (*edited due to crazy formatting*)

If nothing else, you'll make Bioware pay for extra storage space. Is that some form of payback?
