Oh holy crap this one made choke on my coffee.
Or this
It's stuff like this that makes holding the line doable!

Just thought about a nice dialogue.
What about this one?
Catalyst: Not exactly. The Reapers harvest fully developed civilizations, leaving the less developed ones intact. Just as we left your species when we were here last.
Shepard: Let's make a deal, kid.
Catalyst: What deal, Commander?
Shepard: The Reapers are the pinnacle of evolution and a unstoppable force, right? And your ONLY goal is to prevent total organic extinction in the galaxy?
Catalyst: That is correct.
Shepard: So, take the Reapers back to dark space and IF we do screw things up, like you are saying we will, you can come back and clean the mess. Deal?
Catalyst: Well ... that seems reasonable enough. We've never thought about that. Funny.
Shepard: *pokerface*
Catalyst: Okay then. We are leaving, sorry about the trouble.
HOLD THE LINE!

Trying to fight the good fight over on IGN. Kind of hard when most of the comments are about entitlement, crying, or "if you don't like mass effect don't play". With that amazing logic, how can we win? /sarcasm
Only one guy has really tried to explain things his way and kept it civil. He thinks the ending is fine, if you look at it from a certain point of view (namely a Renegade Shep)... I pointed out that it doesn't hold up so well for players who played other types. You know, those Paragons who made friends with EDI, made peace with the Geth and Quarians, etc. and were working towards a happy ending. ME has always been about choices and all we wanted is for the endings to reflect our choices and give us a range of options. My Shep would never have given in at all. He would have argued Star Child down and shown him how he just proved his entire logic completely wrong. My Shep always persevered in the face of disaster-- he saved the Council, made sure everyone survived the suicide mission when they were all told it would be a one way trip. I just want that Shepard back.

(supposedly involving Harbinger possessing and speaking the TIM's corpse and offering Shepard humanity's salvation for this cycle in exchange for the death of all other civilized races).

Continue holding the line brother.
I agree with you completely. Our choices throughout the series simply didn't matter at the most crucial moment of the franchise, and that is not ok. Especially since we were promised the complete opposite.

Sure hoping we get an answer soon.

I'm still completely flabbergasted that there are people out there defending these endings. I know we're keeping it civil and respecting each other's opinions, but I just can't see how a person could defend the countless plot-holes and travesties in that clusterf of an ending.
Anyway, off to bed troops. HOLD THE LINE.

A friend of mine started to play the game today, I was originally planning on warning him about the endings, but I think I'll just let him enjoy it up until the end and then at least we'll have one more on our side.
