Something I found on IGN was someone who really posted a lot of support for the indoctrination theory-- lots of good examples. Everything from the pistol with unlimited ammo, husks dying in one shot, Shepard's sudden compliance, inverted choices (TIMs choice being Paragon, Anderson being Renegade), Shep just happening to be on a secret elevator when he collapses, and of course, Shep being on Earth after the "Destroy" option is chosen.

Trust me, reading that gives me a lot of hope and I commented that many of us would be extremely happy if that was the case and the real end was coming. I also said it would somewhat make me angry for a couple reasons-- namely 1) I paid for a full game and if I have to starting buy my endings separately in the future, my game library is going to shrink and 2) Bioware kind of dropped the ball on handling the backlash. They should have realized, even if their intention was to have the ending through DLC and that was we saw was Shep's mind struggling against indoctrination, that people wouldn't be happy being left with more questions than answers at the end of the game.

The first point is an issue that should be addressed - definitely. As far as I've heard something similar happened to Final Fantasy XIII-2, where the director (Toriyama) even clarified that the cliffhanger ending was to make way for DLCs. I actually can't believe that games companies are going down that road, but I see it coming. And you know what? People will be mindless enough to accept that. I see it all the time here. People are saying they're gonna pay for the Ending DLC - content I actually feel cheated of. Well, I can't argue with the majority, not while we have to stand together to win this war, but this is a topic that should be addressed later on.

Holding the Line, SSV Rostock out.

Every time i read a response on twitter from Jessica Merizan about the ending i feel more and more calm.

That's her job though, to calm stuff down ;)

Still doesnt change the fact that im going to blow a gasket if they don't fix it.

Same here. Sometimes I think it was inhuman to deal with us and franchise the way Bioware did. I hope they do not consider us to be "enemies". I get some good feelings after reading a bit of Ms. Jessica Merizan's twitter, but maybe Iit's just that I want to have hope :crying:

I think this is not the case, unless they are stupid: you can read everywhere on the internet that the players find the game really good (and that is the case) until the end. The only problem of this game is the endings that do not provide enough changes from one to another (i.e from happy end to sad end) and the plot holes they leaves.

Awww I'm sorry believe me I'm all for having hope, I just think we should maybe have cautious hope, less of a let down if things don't go well, but hey that's just me I don't want to be hit with 10,000 bricks again like I was with the ending in the first place.

A friend of mine started to play the game today, I was originally planning on warning him about the endings, but I think I'll just let him enjoy it up until the end and then at least we'll have one more on our side.

I think you should've used that paragon interrupt and tell him to Alt-F4 right after Anderson's death.

Good morning.

I'm here with my Geth Pulse Rifle loaded with Incendiary Ammo and enough coffee to keep my Adrenaline Rush going strong.

Holding that line.

I totally agree. I would not call them stupid anyway. As I wrote before they are victims of their own success.

Therefore I don't imagine them releasing black PR against ReME3 movement because that just not makes any sense.

It is our money that gives them jobs. I also pray they won't considering adding new endings to the ME 3 as a weakness.

I do not even want them to erase original ending. I'd like to see endings I desired from ME1 (that being reapers destroyed and Ash with my Shepard with bunch of small spectre babies :P )

Hi to all the soldiers!

Goikiu , 2° Engeneer Fleet reporting in. (From Italian Fleet)

I'd like to say THANKS to you all, for a lot of things.

1) As you can know (or not) i've make a Resource site of the Retake ME3 movement (you can find it on my signature, it seems some people spam it from time to time), i've added a "views" counter on the main page of that 12 hours ago, 1000 views... don't know what to say... i know isn't accurated however it's a good thing for the movement.

2) I'd like to say thanks to the community, i've paid a lot for my ME3 CE copy, even if i've lost something with the game i've gained more than that with you companions, you're truly a great bunch of heroes (for me)!

3) From now on i'll try to update the site faster adding more info, but if you got some time please help us/me. I need some ideas about the graphics, news update, image or video update, you can pm me or email me (can find info on my site footer about the updaters) about it. I'll gladly add it.

4) Soon i will change something about the site, i'll make it more Organized so that you can find some more info, without need to search too much, i will also add a Partner Page, you will find here who helped with this project, other site of the Movement, and more.

I'm Italian so i can update it when most of you are offline, however i'd like to help how i can, when i can, when i can , in every way the movement will gain something good.

Truly thanks to all of you soldier. ;)

I'm still completely flabbergasted that there are people out there defending these endings. I know we're keeping it civil and respecting each other's opinions, but I just can't see how a person could defend the countless plot-holes and travesties in that clusterf of an ending.

Anyway, off to bed troops. HOLD THE LINE.

Indeed.

No doubt posted before, but this says it all, in my opinion:  Brent Knowles thoughts

Holding the line, for the love of the game. <3

It's true that I haven't seen such kind of reaction all over the wolrd for "just" a game. Does somebody knows if it was so huge for Fallout 3?

It wasn't that big bacause: ending had much less plotholes and had some kind of epilogue and Bethesda announced that they will change it in Broken Steel really fast as far as i remember.

This gives me all kinds of hope, varying from 'this was Biowares intention all along, create controversy and then release the real ending' to 'they have to add endings if 9/10 players hated it.'

Can't actually wait to see couple of guys from my classes today, I might drop a totally subtle 'so, finished game yet?' and watch the looks of hurt and utter dissappointment. Image IPB

So, with all the drama going on here(that I'm proud to be apart of) I had not heard that the new Final Fantasy pulled something similar(if Indoc is true). Apparently the new FF ends with a "to be continued" and the producer came out to say they'll be releasing DLC to explore the "many possibilites in the paradoxical ending" or some crap.

Is this some weird trend to bomb AAA RPG titles? Did they have some conference where they talked and thought it would be a good idea to NOT end their games and sell it as DLC? It's a really odd coincidence....

Not to mention it had a techincal flaw. You got booted to the menu so you couldn't continue playing the game once it finished.

The difference between this and Fallout 3 was that ME3 is more story driven.

1st time i started playing FO3 completely forgot about the main mission.

Here its all about the main mission.
