Welcome aboard

Sad thing is, I've been here since two weeks ago, mostly lurking, welcoming newcomers and providing links and only now have I realized..."yeah...yeah BW betrayed me. Betrayed us."

*still holding the line shirtless huzzah!*

Nothing so big... however it seems that Amazon will give full money back for ME3 (unchecked).

^This, it's sad, but a big blow against Bioware and EA.

If It's true yes, i've not checked it yet.
Well... i really don't hate bioware, i don't like an Ending. Isn't that they don't know how make game, it's a different whole story. Bioware have make some good games with those years, i really hope they won't close. Will we read something from them soon?

Exactly. One scene that really touched me in the game was the talk with Javik and he mentions how I and Tali are joined. He wonders why I would go to such lengths for them. As Shep says:

"Without them, I have nothing but death in my life and I don't want that."

Him finally earning some real rest at the end of the game to settle down with friends and loved ones... I can't think of a better reward for him. He deserves that much at least.

I agree fully. I'm over 30 and everytime I hear conversation between my Shep and Ash before cerberus base msiion I've got my eyes wet. I just cannot imagine why this "little" reward as being bitterly victorious but with crew and LI is so difficult to fathom for Bioware :crying:

Your effort was not in vain. Every few pages I see another player coming here, their states in a contiuum from disappointed to heartbroken, voicing their opinion and joining us in holding the line. This thread has become a sort of sanctuary for frustrated fans who don't know where else to go. I think the Retake Movement mostly brings forward the best in fans: their passion for the series, their creativity and engagment, and their will stand together and hold the line.

Yes you definitely can get full money (you pay shipping though), gotta love Amazon for that. I pre-ordered an extra copy of the collectors edition to give to my cousin for his birthday yesterday. He got a gamestop gift card instead lol. I debated whether or not I should send it back to amazon in the birthday bag I was going to put the box in haha.

Indeed. Shepard surviving with the remains and his crew and LI still isn't a super happy ending, and will never become one. But to me it's the only real ending I'd want. The amount of people killed, the horrors the survivors witnessed and the sheer amount of destruction done by the Reapers will take organics decades if not centuries to recover from. I fail to see how this can even remotely be classified as 'super happy ending'.

IMO this would be a bittersweet ending. Shepard survives and can now attempt to live the life he wants either with or without LI (some people may prefer to stay in the alliance perhaps) but the damage done by the Reapers may never be fully restored and everyone is left with some degree of emotional scarring (not to the extent of ME2 Jack I hope) by what happened there.

Hear, hear.

Super-happy would require saving everyone, which we know is not possible, nor should it be.

But the chance of this bittersweet (happy) ending should be there.  The chance.  If you play you cards right, so to speak.  Also the possibility of utter failure, should you go pick a fight all too soon.

Well, that is how I feel any way.  I love the games, and would hate to see these 10 minutes destroy this, which it is now.  That is why I fight, not to bring anyone down.  Without BioWare there would be no Mass Effect to fight for, after all.  I fight for both.

I still think Brent Knowles described it in a way I cannot myself...

 It's starting to get "personal".. I don't think it's a good idea.

But hey, at least they HAVE to respond quickly or there won't be a fanbase left to save.

-17 to PAX.. let's hope they'll come up with a statement soon.

Does anyone know any game that will let these days pass quickly? I mean apart from studying/going to the university/going out.

Edit: Urrà, altri Italiani \\o/

Just to add my voice here, I've been here all along (since I finished the game), holding the line.

Yet I'll confess, I don't see this debacle ending happily for us (former) fans. Needless to say, I'll be voting with my wallet when Bioware releases future games.

Part of me still can't even believe the endings were so CATASTROPHICALLY bad.

Why in all the seven hells would they decide to go with this?

*YUP SEEMS GOOD LETS DO THIS GUYS*...

My father is COMPLETELY technologically illiterate. He hasn't played a single game in his life, and he hardly knows how to type. I showed him the endings, and his response was this:

"Well, son. That reminds me of LSD back in the day when all the hippies were using it.  Colors and things, right? Strange things are thought up on that stuff. Are video games for those kind of people now-adays? You guys sit around and waste time just like the hippies did!  Can't make heads or tails outa what you've shown me, but I don't like the feeling."

Even my FATHER hated it, and I was at a complete loss for words as to how to respond to what he thought about it all...

My father asked me if the ME trilogy was worth playing. I said "yes, but don't get emotionally involved with characters"

He's playing Skyrim ever since.
