Did anyone else think it was a bit of a pain to find out after all the time you spent on the citidel and all the people you helped there, they all got killed anyway.

I dont get it though because wasnt C-Sec part of my army? When did they get off it? Technicaly I hadnt called my forces together when it was taken by the reaps so how did they make it off?

To be fair I thought THAT was going to be the bittersweet part of the ending plus shep dieing, but no, the whole entire galaxy dieing in one way or the other was the bittersweet ending.

Damnation I still cant bring myself to start a new play though! Image IPB

Have you ever read the comic Critical Miss at escapistmagazine.com? One of the very first comics talks about how the lead character, who is a video game reviewer, is at the mercy of the publishers and their bosses. Her opinions are handed to her is sealed envelopes before she even receives a copy of the game, there's lies, omissions and exaggerations to keep publishers happy. So sad.

Totally agree, that's extremely unsatisfying for potential customers who rely on statements like that and end up deeply frustrated with a game that does not live up to their expectations.
On the other hand, I don't have too much compassion for these "journalists", since the have activily decided to sell out to the big publishing companies. Just take a look at independent reviewers like Angry Joe and many more, they prove every day that it's nut compulsory to sell your integrity to EA for a handful of bucks...

I saw this on reddit about an hour ago, I think. I didn't post it because I thought that it'd be unfair toward BioWare. They haven't actually been this openly disrespectful toward us, although their silence is almost worse. The comic still made me giggle, though.

If you think about this whole matter, they are indeed disrespectful and arrogant beyond belief.

No answer in two weeks possible, besides some vague postings on twitter? Please...
Plus all these derogatory comments and accusations of "whining" and "entitlement" from sites like IGN. Do you really believe this is written as an independent opinion? Pretty sure that's not the case, Colin Moriarity and all the other lapdogs over there wouldn't even dare to breathe yet alone adress such an important matter without former authorization from EA/BioWare.

In conclusion, they just try sitting this out until the prime selling time is over, plus, they are sending out their media attack dogs in an attempt to demoralize this movement.

Talk about respect...

(Sorry for doubleposting, my fault :( )

True, there are obviously things going on in the background. I'm not one to scream conspiracy at once, but since I know a thing or two about PR and have been following the gaming industry/press for quite some time I see that your argumentation makes sense.

However, I'd also like to point out that there is a difference between what is considered respectful behavior between individuals and what is labeled with the same word between company and customer. A company such as BioWare cannot instantly respond to what we're asking for directly because it's not a homogenous body and doesn't have the same social reflexes as an individual does. There's an entire PR division behind anything they do.

The fact that certain elements of the gaming press are being used as proxies to quell or discredit the Retake Movement is disrespectful toward individuals, yes, because it's not a straight answer. But it's common practice in the industry. BioWare is trying to defend itself, its product, and its financial outlook with the means its got available.

Still, until I hear a "No, you can't have another ending. Deal with it," from a BioWare rep in the form of an official announcement I'll hold the line.

I just wonder what kind of managers allow things like ME3 ending to happen. It wasn't some quantum physics to predict storm like this might happen.

And now, for two weeks they keep silent, offering nothing, not even "go to hell with You ideas".

People check this out!!! I don't know what to think but, seems it's going pretty rough

http://gamingsquid.c...aign=WordSocial

... I know we should be holding the line but... I'm starting to think we should focuss on the main problem. I know the ending sucks and that denies most of our actiones and choices in the entire trilogy... but the game itself its incredible despite the ending. As I said I don't know, does the game deserves this?

I think it's a pretty rough way to make them listen.

Indeed. We're trying to get a message across and this just means how serious some of us are. The only way to make them listen is to hit them where it hurts.

I think what EA and Bioware are banking on right now is that we are a vocal minority. They are probably right in that respect, but its the silent majority who dont like the endings and wont be purchasing the DLC that will make them stop and listen.

Most gamers dont use forums like this, I know of four friends who were raging after they finished the game, but have yet to ever visit this forum, but they swear they will not be touching the DLC as they feel no reason to play it again.

I honestly believe that unless they do something to regain customer loyalty any new purchasable content will have poor sales, and the longer it takes the harder it will be to get those silent gamers to come back. We all know gamers are transient and if they lose interest, the will go and find something else to satisfy there gaming needs.

So please EA/Bioware make a decision either way and do it fast, because I dont want to see this amazingly crafted trilogy, slip quietly into the darkness, only to be remembered of how possibly one of the best story sci-fi stories ever writen, was destroyed by 10 minutes of a rushed ending.

Apperantly Bioware is also hiring people to go on the forums to support the game. Not only does this give the illusion that more people "actually" like the ending (I know there are some that honestly like it), but it also causes unrest since people can't accept someone defending the ending truthfully.

Silent? Nah, they are starting the spade work hype for Dragon age 3, talking abut how it will be a very inclusive experience (whatever that means) and how they will listen carefully to fans about ideas on its developments.

seriously, sounds like a broken record sometimes. :)
