However, I'd also like to point out that there is a difference between what is considered respectful behavior between individuals and what is labeled with the same word between company and customer. A company such as BioWare cannot instantly respond to what we're asking for directly because it's not a homogenous body and doesn't have the same social reflexes as an individual does. There's an entire PR division behind anything they do.
You are definately correct here, but I have to say that I did not expect BioWare to release a defintitve statement relating to our outrage over the ME 3 endings and their way to deal with this matter right after the first three days. But what most people anticipaited was a serious statement giving us at least a halfway concrete date when they will adress to our complaints. Instead, they just told us they "care about our feedback", which could mean anything between "we really care about your feedback" and "f*ck you".
The fact that certain elements of the gaming press are being used as proxies to quell or discredit the Retake Movement is disrespectful toward individuals, yes, because it's not a straight answer. But it's common practice in the industry. BioWare is trying to defend itself, its product, and its financial outlook with the means its got available.
Just because this may be a common strategy to protect their sales, it does not mean I won't be offended by that kind of behaviour.
Still, until I hear a "No, you can't have another ending. Deal with it," from a BioWare rep in the form of an official announcement I'll hold the line.
I have no intention to leave either, though I may not be the most contributive member of this forum, due to my bad English...
