By the looks of it, they might be making the game longer with DLC (and "mini expansions").

I do hate the endings; they are all the same (apart from a few minor differences), there is huge plot holes in the ending (Like Joker and my team members making a run for it) and finally, the fact they made all our choices through the last 100+ hrs game time abso-f*****g-lutely pointless. But still, they were "good" endings in the amount of work and thought that must have gone into them...

At any rate, on behalf of the Australian Retake Fleet:
Hold The Line!

*snip*

Apperantly Bioware is also hiring people to go on the forums to support the game. Not only does this give the illusion that more people "actually" like the ending (I know there are some that honestly like it), but it also causes unrest since people can't accept someone defending the ending truthfully.

Another common business practice, I'm afraid. Someone posted the link to this wikipedia article earlier: http://en.wikipedia....ki/Astroturfing I didn't know it was called that way, but there you go.

I just wonder what kind of managers allow things like ME3 ending to happen. It wasn't some quantum physics to predict storm like this might happen.

And now, for two weeks they keep silent, offering nothing, not even "go to hell with You ideas".

Silent? Nah, they are starting the spade work hype for Dragon age 3, talking abut how it will be a very inclusive experience (whatever that means) and how they will listen carefully to fans about ideas on its developments.

seriously, sounds like a broken record sometimes. :)

Just how many times can You play the broken record ?

The display of discontent is clear. If all it takes to regain the love of fans is to add new ending, then it is not very expensive move...

Only sometimes? I've already told them it's too late for Dragon Age which pretty much leaves Bioware dead having destroyed Mass Effect as well...

It could be good news, I'm just wondering what slant they're going to put on it. I've always been a little cautious when it comes to the media - where do you think the stereotype of the gamer came from and was publicised?

Sure, the movement itself will support the BBC article based on what they says.
We've gained something and lost something with Amazon/Origin ME3 refunding choise.
We need to hope for the BBC article for now, we'll see it soon enough.

However, I'd also like to point out that there is a difference between what is considered respectful behavior between individuals and what is labeled with the same word between company and customer. A company such as BioWare cannot instantly respond to what we're asking for directly because it's not a homogenous body and doesn't have the same social reflexes as an individual does. There's an entire PR division behind anything they do.

You are definately correct here, but I have to say that I did not expect BioWare to release a defintitve statement relating to our outrage over the ME 3 endings and their way to deal with this matter right after the first three days. But what most people anticipaited was a serious statement giving us at least a halfway concrete date when they will adress to our complaints. Instead, they just told us they "care about our feedback", which could mean anything between "we really care about your feedback" and "f*ck you".

The fact that certain elements of the gaming press are being used as proxies to quell or discredit the Retake Movement is disrespectful toward individuals, yes, because it's not a straight answer. But it's common practice in the industry. BioWare is trying to defend itself, its product, and its financial outlook with the means its got available.

Just because this may be a common strategy to protect their sales, it does not mean I won't be offended by that kind of behaviour.

Still, until I hear a "No, you can't have another ending. Deal with it," from a BioWare rep in the form of an official announcement I'll hold the line.

I have no intention to leave either, though I may not be the most contributive member of this forum, due to my bad English...

It's happened in the JRPG market.

Tales of Graces (Wii) didn't have content we recieved on Tales of Graces: F (The 'F' stands for the 'Future' arc, as well as tons of awesome DLC)

Tales of Vesperia (360) didn't have Flynn Scifo as a full-time, end-game character, Team Arena, Patty Fleur (Tales of Vesperia PS3, again.)

So it's possible they'd try to release a 'complete' edition. In which case, my boycott of them would be permanent and I'd never spend another red cent on their 'first' game until at least a year after their initial sale (Buy used, probably)

So really, BioWare shouldn't shoot themselves in the foot like that.
