I suspect we will not really hear anything until PAX. Until then it will be confuse, divert, discredit. Normal PR sheenanigans and tactics.

Why would they delay in giving a reply if they have good news? It's just hurting their name right now.

You know, refund something it isn't bad itself. However many can think that they will give you a refund if you haven't liked the end and they choose not to fix/change/add it.

For this it can be seen as a bad thing.

Good thing is that they are "listening" or at least "watching" over us, or they won't have give a full refund for ME3.

Or maybe they pulled this to make you feel bad for them, to make everyone who has loved bioware games so far, feel bad and think "oh this is not what i wanted, i dont want this company to fail because i didnt like the ending" and make them stop fighting out of guilt. The same way than trying to tell us "we are human we were tired" is trying to make you feel bad for them.

I'm not talking about that.
This Action (the refund one) can break the movement, because most of us, after returning it will not hold the line anymore. :pinched:

Most people holding the line love the game too much and will surely wait for a comment from BioWare first. It's don't that we no longer want ME3... we just want it to have a proper Mass Effect ending.

Do not abandon hope! Hold the line!

I agree with Hendrik.III.
Returning a copy of ME3 does not mean one must stop holding the line. It is a form of pressure on EA/Bioware.
I bet that ffter they resolve the ending thing people buy everything that comes under ME 3 brand, especially DLSs.

I work my ass off in ME1 and 2 only to get f*cked over and my envisioned ending wrenched away from me in ME3 just for the sakes of 't3h DDRUMAS' and a 'bittersweet ending'?

I'll gladly give Mac Walters something bittersweet alright. It's called my fist in his face.

Saying that does not help anyone and just makes you look like a douche.

hey another german is back on it (SSV Zugspitze (would be Munich - if they did not decide to call the dreadnoughts after mountains of all things...) reporting in...have been off to re-supply and rotate the crew)

so, did anything really worth mentioning happen in the last 10-15 hours?

i heard they offered full refund?...well, just as well, i do not really want a refund, i want a good game! (with the origininal ending - dark energy! - back in, and some more action...like, after freeing earth, going off to mopp up the rest of the reapers (palaven, thessia, surkesh etc.) and getting some medal if you do it right...and some more fighting alongside our aquired war assets...well and some more space-battles etc. - i might repeat myself, but ME3 could have "owned" the rest of the industry by being just so damned good, but they would have had to invest a lot more money and take some more development time!)

greetings LAX
ps: holding the line, so that they at least correct the ending of their screw up game! (my oppinion...it was ok while playing - if a little "stale" and without the immersive feeling of ME1 and 2...hell we aquire krogan war assets, but we never fight alongside them? same for the rest be it Salarian STG, Asari-Fleets and Commandos or Turian Fleets (with the exception of the "endgame"-battle)...:( i am dissapointed and the ending to me is like someone twisting the knive in my gut while at the same time urinating on the wound and punching me some more :(

I just ran up a new ending for ME3. It's much shorter than the Bioware one and doesn't have Spaceboy in it, but it sums up the essence of their ending, I think.

Plus they don't really have much choice don't they? I can't see how they could not fix the ending when you see that 90% of the feedback is about the ending...

Yeah, you're right, I never thought about returning the game. The only reason I'm here is because I love the game so much and don't want it to die like that.

I fully agree with the sentiment to support game makers whose products you like. Heck, I even bought those silly costume DLCs for ME2 because I liked the game so much (I drew the line with Horse Armor though, that was just stupid) and felt the need to give them support.

Anyway, I'll stick with my ME3 copy, worst case scenario is that it will always remind me not to preorder games until I read peer reviews.

Ok done!

Just posting this video even when I know it was already posted just to say that I find his suggestion about the ending really great!

Just watched it yesterday and dreamed about it (goes really easy for me) and .... it would have been sooooo damn epic for MY Commander Shepard.

I mean, a Game with so many chioces to make should at least have the OPTION to get a Happy Ending.

I mean ok, if it would be a linear Game plotwise, like Final Fantasy or (to take a Game with intentially bad Ending where everyone dies) like Seven Samurai 20XX, it would have been ok.

And if they wanted an Ending for everyone to make LOTS OF SPECULATIONS, they should have make a Game like Dark Souls, were you have no big main Story at all and just some hints in the World to make yourself your own picture of what happend in the Past and what role other Characters there had.

But Mass Effect was not such a Game. Since the Beginning it was a Game that taught me : against all odds, you can make it, if you really try hard enough.
This was a theme in ME 1, this was theme in ME 2 and is was a theme in 95% of ME 3. So why not in the big End?

That´s the thing that reeeeally bothers me besides all the Plotholes and the recycle-Ending.

EDIT: And the lack of the consequences of your choices on the Ending of course :P

Hold the Line!

Finland reporting in, times are rough, clinging on to what little hope we have.

If Bioware doesn't respond soon, I don't think there will be a Mass Effect to save.

Yep, I don't think that I'll ever buy game before rewievs.
I don't even know if I'll buy Bioware games ever again. It's up to them now.

I'm sticking with my ME3 copy. It's hard to return it if you have digital copy.
Worst case scenario: I won't play it ever again. :crying:

The only part of ME3 I can play is multiplayer, but even that's starting to feel pointless. Maybe this was EA's whole strategy... ruin the ending so a lot of the fans are upset and then in the next game, we'll get a 5 hours story and the rest of the game will by multiplayer, just like a Battlefield or CoD game!

We're getting on the BBC? Refunds even from Origin? 70k raised for Charity? This is it ladies and gentlemen, we've blasted past the outer defenses of the Sol System and are en route to retake Earth. Prime the engines, warm the guns, ensure targeting solutions are optimal. From here on out, things get real.

Remember to stay civil, keep to the bullet points, and spread the word. The key to our victory over the Reap- I mean Bioware will be civility, intelligence, and directness. Do not be put off, do not be put down, do not rage. Keep Calm and Hold The Line.

There ain't no time like go time. And it's definitely go time.

It will have to be fan made reviews though since apparenlty we cant trust "professional" gaming magazines or websites.

It makes me sick to think that I wont ever be able to trust bioware and buy any of their games, even if they look good all around, because i will never know if they dont screw up the ending again. And you know fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me....

And i was so looking forward to play me3 again, even start from me1 with imports and all. several times even. And i miss it, i really want to play but then i remember how it ends and ..... :crying:

Well I did play a bit of multiplayer before I decided to stop playing till we get news, it is really just a horde mode clone, but the Rpg elements do give it a bit of originality, but It pretty tough to start with, especialy when people try and kick you just becasue your low level before you even play a game lol.
