Today I'm hopeful! Hold the line guys!
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

A lot of people have said its ruined the franchise and stopped you gaming for however many days. I'm wondering what else are you doing with your time apart from F5ing the threads?
Are you still gaming?
Or reading books more?
Or focusing on work?
I just want to see how people are coping with it?

I play some games, for brief periods. Just not the game I had hoped to. <_<
Home sick, can't go out, need to do something to occupy my mind. I suspect I have gotten to where I sullenly and stubbornly hold the line (I can be so stubborn!). I do try to find ways to laugh about this too, like those videos and images, but at the same time those also remind me, I suppose.
I mess around with my keyboard (the musical kind) and do other things, but sooner or later I find myself refreshing pages here...

Well I did play a bit of multiplayer before I decided to stop playing till we get news, it is really just a horde mode clone, but the Rpg elements do give it a bit of originality, but It pretty tough to start with, especialy when people try and kick you just becasue your low level before you even play a game lol.
The same thing happened to me yesterday! I played a silver-difficulty match alongside three guys who had a much higher overall rank (I'm about 56 and they were all over 100). Not only did I foolishly choose a poor weapon loadout (a single pistol, because it was a new acquisition from a Spectre pack), but I got a much higher score than one of my "team mates" and revived a certain Turian soldier five times, whereas I only went down once in the whole mission. When the game ended, however, they all unanimously agreed that I was somehow the weak link and booted me! I was in shock. What a bunch of sheep.
BioWare -- that doesn't mean I'm enthusiastic about the game now! BETTER ENDINGS and a character'-modelled face for Tali, please!
You thought you were off the hook then, right? Sorry. Nope. ;p

well - i am still in the process of job applications (writing them, going to acceptance tests - the whole works with getting a job or the opportunity to study while at the same time having a stable income and a job)
i am not reading books ATM (also i have some left from my last book shopping spree)
as for gaming:
i play some league of legends with my friends (once or twice a day...sometimes more) but otherwise i just can't get into it ATM...maybe because i do not have any games i want to replay (@bioware: thanks for that by the way) and i don't want to shell out for new ones...well maybe i will (must look up new games on the market anyway!)
greetings LAX

For a while I was too depressed to do any gaming but I've been able to distract myself by farting around with texture mods and the save editor for ME3. I just get to a certain point then realize there's no point in any of it and stop playing.
I'm not big on reading... hell games like Mass Effect with deep stories kinda filled that void for me.
Work I do have but focusing on it is another thing completely... I draw for a living and right now its like I don't have the emotional motivation to even pick up my tablet and open photoshop. I'm getting behind in my work which could cause problems later on.
Basically the only thing holding me together right now is watching TV and this forum... and the hope that Bioware will listen to us and create alternate ending DLC.

Except from maybe 3-4 houres of minecraft I haven't touched any games at all. Ever since I got to the ending a week ago, I have more or less spent most of my time on the forums, spreading the word, writing e-mails and talked with buddies that also hated the ending.Teleraine wrote...

Being here on the forums is more or less what kept me from snapping
Hold the line!
Oh and also, I've watched some stupid mindless documentaries on youtube.

I hope we hear a difinitive statement soon regarding the endings. With returns now being available, I want to be a fully informed consumer before I make any final decision.
Somebody said a statement was due on Wednesday, but who knows.
But yes, with refunds now being offered, can they afford to wait much longer before saying something, anything, about this.
If news is not forthcoming, I will likely return my copy to Amazon.

It truly stopped me from gaming for a week now. I tried several times, but nothing can really help me forget about Mass Effect. I must admit that I spend most of the time now surfing and reading through forums, fb and blogs always searching for new info about alternate ending DLC or something similar. I actually also can't read books, because I can't really concentrate on a new story now. I stick to ME and will hold the line until we get more information.

I am still gaming, but it's hard. My vision has been so skewed. I have hard time putting faith in any games right now. I was excited for TERA, but after some recent changes and ME3 turn out... I feel like Stan from South Park when he goes through his Cynical Phase.
I read the forums if that counts as reading.
Focus on work always, makes the days go by faster.

To paraphrase Rudyard Kipling: You're a stronger man that I.
I wanted to. I still want to. But somehow the impetus has been driven from me. I see people on the citadel I help, I see teammates I aid, all for what.
To paraphrase Tolkein:
But I have seen them too, in the corridors where the keepers work. They lie in all the heaps, pale faces, deep deep under the red lights of the citadel. I saw them: grim faces and evil, and noble faces and sad. Many faces proud and fair, and blood in their matted hair. But all foul, all rotting, all dead. A fell light is in them.

If I get really aggrivated about the endings... I fire up some Street fighter X Tekken and practice, combos strings, etc, etc. It brings focus and rythme of pounding the buttons is relaxing. If I do play ME 3 its for about hour at a time on my FemShep but then I lose interest..
Listening to alot of music, doing some head canon for my own ending... came up with one where my Shepard and the gang where building Tali a house on Rannoch.

I tried to finish my MShep playthrough and wound up making a whole new FemShep. Garrus is the only thing keeping me going now.

Well I'm with you there. I did a NG+ just because of him but after that there is really little reason for me to touch the game. Very sad, but until Bioware says something I won't be playing any ME games for a long time.

That stinks. I'm sorry to hear that. The only MP i play is gears 3. I haven't even touch ME3 multiplayer yet and probably never will. Mass Effect will always be a single player experience for me.Regan Cousland wrote...

Actually it's defined as non-standard. It's basically a colloquialism now and can no longer be seen as incorrect or a non-word. Much to my dismay but oh well, we pedants can't have everything.
I would agree with you though, we have regardless or irrespective, why not use them?
Edit: How did that hypen get there?
