counter campaign to support the endings has 385 members. The lulz ensue.
Oooh, I just waited for someone to mention that counter campaign, so that I can post an implied facepalm to show what I think about them

They are accurate to do so. The game has had nearly universal acclaim. Most people on this board absoloutely love it. That's why we're all the more livid about an ending that effectively destroyed it.
I know, it was just light humor
Yeah...realised that a bit too late though. Sorry, mind was elsewhere and inner pedant took over.

Something I'd like someone to comment on, if they have any experience of it.
A friend of mine finished the game, but said when he got to the crashed Normandy scene, the airlock started to open, then it immediately cut to the credits. He didn't get to see anyone come out at all.
He normally lets the credits roll at the end, because "It was like playing a movie". But this time he cancelled them and got the grandfather scene. To say he wasn't happy not knowing if anybody at all had survived is a massive understatement.
I just wondered if anyone else had gotten this result?
if your war readyness is lower than normal the airlock opens and before you see anyone it then cuts to credits means everyone died, i got that one
Thats intersting, it kind of does mean that scene is meant to be 100% metaphor,

Then who opened the airlock?
a ship crashes the aitlock opens itself like "in case of emerngcy the air lock will unlock automaticly"

Who would put more stock in BBC or IGN?
People generally put stock in people who instist on maintaining IGNorance despite the facts provided to them.
Why else would IGN let a poll which proved their viewpoint wrong be consigned to oblivion.
Yeah that turned out well for em... I laugh every time I see that poll.. speaking over which.. notice that ever since they did that poll.. IGN has been rather silent.

And what if the atmosphere outside was toxic? I rather think the reverse would be true. The lock wouldn't open by itself. That's asking for trouble in a spacecraft.
Lots of speculation for everyone

I wouldn't read too much in to this, the whole NASDAQ (and for that matter most Indices) is down today.
I'm including COB yesterday too. where there was a fantastic drop. If you look at their trend for the past week or so, and then compare it to the past month and beyond, you'll see that SOMETHING is up, not just general market trending.
True. I don't like to celebrate this kind of thing, but it probably is the best way to get their attention.

I would speculate that exclusive info, and video previews ect to get more traffic are the primary pay offs, not a thug with a paper bag full of cash

I will not rewrite what so many has posted before, but give us real closure, a real ending. Give us a 100% brilliant sci-fi saga wich you were so close to do.
As a very long term bioware costumer, id like to think iv deserved that. (selfish yes i know)
I like silly examples so I will provide you with one, if i go to a car dealership and get promised a car with abs brakes, antispin system and a turbo. And upon reciving the car i find out it only have abs brakes and none of the other functions promised, there would be slight hell to pay to say the least.
Hold the line!

Quick add before I sleep;
You mean "Spokesmen"? Also, "Mascot" is a viable alternative...just need some weird foam filled reaper costume for him to wear.
Spokeman! Yes thank you, for some reason I couldn't think of the bloody word! Probably because I've been up since 1330 yesterday afternoon and it is now 0756.... I'm on the West coast.....
