I mean it would be lame not to include it in the game already. yes it'd be epic, my heart would be RACING after such depressing "first ending" to begin with but now... it would seem like an act of desesperation. I don't know, just going "hey it was a joke here's the real ending" doesn't sit fine with me.

Ahhh, phew. Thought as much.... was worried I was going to have to get out the Salmon of Sanity.

Yes, I kind of agree. If it had been the plan from the beginning and it was just not completed, I could have waited another month or so. If they said that they had not quite finished and there is more to come, I could accept it.

But their reticence to admit anything implies that they just screwed up and anything coming along now is going to reek of desparation.

But, if you're listening BioWare, it's ok, you will have redeemed yourself in our eyes if you admit to your error prior to/upon release. Give us the ending your masterpiece deserves.

yes i agree. sorry for the vague answer back there, i'm studying and didn't feel like taking a big break B).

yes bioware, you've made mistakes. but now more than ever is time to prove your intentions. THIS is it. right here. this moment will bind your fate.

This. Have been thinking about it myself but I'm really willing to take the risk. Guess there's just too much trust into Bioware (left) in me, based on much brighter days. I would never had imagined they screw up the ME3 ending, so I still can't even think about them screwing it twice.

We
will never know if we do not try.  Also, when it comes to "cutting
their losses" I doubt that they want to lose their loyal fanbase.  Of
course, EA has always been about the short-term gain.

Well, I don't see any option but to keep pushing them, obviously. I just hope we don't stumble into something we didn't want.

Was hoping I could hold out til page 1999 and make a cliched party like it's 1999 joke, but I fear I have to go do real life stuff and I'm almost certain we'll be in the 2000s by the time I'm back. Ah well...

Oh, I've already seen this.
But I do have to say that it's a really good diagram.

Those would be nice endings.

Is anyone else a little concerned that if Bioware does change the ending, they may still screw it up? Or that, if we hit Bioware too hard, EA may simply decide to cut their losses and abandon Mass Effect altogether? Meaning that there would be no ending fix?

Maybe I'm just crazy, but I see those as potential unintended outcomes of all this.

Exactly my concerns. And honestly, I think abandoning the ME series is what they'll do. They'll maybe release 1SP and 1MP DLC just to see how it sells, and if it doesn't, they'll just be focusing on other games, not trying to ruin endings like this ever again.

Sad I know...

Don't know if this was already published here or not:

UK Top 40: FIFA Street boots Mass Effect 3 off top spot

UK Video game chart: FIFA Street scores a No1

The last one mentions that "Mass Effect 3 slips to No.2 with a 74 per cent drop in sales, followed by SSX and FIFA 12. Mario Party 9 holds at No.5."

That's what happens when customers and fans are not happy with the endings. I'm sure that our activities in #RetakeMassEffect movement made a difference here as well.

Hold the line!  I'm pretty sure that we're close to our victory, and we will get what we (customers) want - endings which make sense.

74% drop in sales!?! wow....I'm speechless. It's only been two weeks...less in the UK.

Haha, ok.
I know we are angry, but let's not bash anyone in here.

We have to keep it civil if we want to be taken seriously.

There your statement, you cannot please everyone, someone somewhere will see any new ending as a screw up, right now we take what we can get, personally I'd be satisfied staying with the current ending but with considerably more closure.

Yes, but sad to say that any time a Fifa or PES or any other football title comes out in the UK, every other game sale percentage drops dramatically.

Vile, but a fact.

What have we got to lose mate? The endings couldn't possibly get any worse with the amount of feedback BioWare is receiving. Might as well keep pushing and see what they come up with. The worst that can happen is that they say 'no', in which case this series is officially dead to me. No need to worry about EA pulling the plug then.

Not sure how others feel about this of course. But I can't imagine there are many people around actually looking forward to a Mass Effect 4 if this business is not resolved.

counter campaign to support the endings has 385 members. The lulz ensue.

Which I think most funny as in:

"If you do not want to change YOUR ending, and if you are fine with Tri-colored explosions, simply do not download the DLC.". Why they now go onto the barricads is not really clear to me.
Well, they have 386 members. Judging by the growth of our movement since the time I came we get 2700 people every day on facebook, 6700 people on this side every day and 9000$ every day on the charity side. It will take some work...not that I do not think they have every right...but it will take some work.

Yea i have been wondering why they feel the need to organize a counter campaign. Its not like we want them not to have the ending they want, all we are asking for is a DLC for us to download to have it changed, if they like the ending as it is, they simply dont have to download it.
We've had some people here in the topic as well as in the chat http://lugoentertain...3ending/#!/Chat that have been rather aggressive towards us, claiming we are trying to force something on them they don't want. Which obvioulsy is not true, but what they are doing is just that. Trying to make sure that we don't get the ending we would like, forcing us to end this game that way. Why is that? Why can't both groups get what they desire? Why do we have to the the ones to suffer, because they simply don't want any changes, that would not even effect them?
This is just so damn selfish that I can't get over it. It would be like saying, they have to change the game and have to make it impossible to play it anymore unless the DLC with the new endings is installed.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind people saying that they like the endings, that is totaly fine, they are obviously entitled to their opinions and I don't want them to have to shut up about it either, but what i find unaccepable is saying NO DON'T CHANGE THE ENDINGS AT ALL , DONT GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT. There is no reason to do this, as it is sooo easy to make both groups happy.
We don't want to force new endings on players who enjoyed it, never have. We just want to be happy too, is that to much to ask?

Right. It's the reported drop in sales that kind of scares me. I can see some EA suit saying "Well, what's the point in releasing an ending DLC when no one is buying the game any more?"

I'm willing to risk it.  I'd rather try and fail than know that I could have done something and did nothing at all.  Just my feeling...

That's always a very, very real and possible danger.  But the former can be avoided if they listen attentively to fan feedback about what could be changed and such, and then put the same effort and love into that like they did with everything else.

And if the latter happens, then we cut OUR losses and abandon EA altogether.
