SO are we prepared to take the movement forward based on Biowares response? I mean if they release new endings and or gameplay after the "ending" are we prepared to support it en mass and likewise are we prepared to embargo the main game and boycott dlc if they decide to move forward doing nothing? - Holding the line in Detroit!!!

This is exactly what I will do. For the latter I for one wouldn't even renew my SWTOR subscription anymore; it will run out in 2 days anyway. Unless this is fixed, I am not coming back to their MMO. It hurts me a bit not to play SWTOR, but I can live with not playing it for the rest of my life in case they don't fix what we are fighting for.

I was looking at the related articles from the BBC article and saw these.

Credit to that article, along with the BBC one for stating that it was "one fan" who "took it further." So much better than the lazy journalism of late, mostly going with, "Mass Effect Critics take complaints to FTC."

It seems there's still good journalism going on. It actually makes me very optimistic that we'll get a positive response about all of this soon(ish) and we can get on with what we all actually want to do: Play Mass Effect 3.

Is anyone else a little concerned that if Bioware does change the ending, they may still screw it up? Or that, if we hit Bioware too hard, EA may simply decide to cut their losses and abandon Mass Effect altogether? Meaning that there would be no ending fix?

Maybe I'm just crazy, but I see those as potential unintended outcomes of all this.

That's always a very, very real and possible danger.  But the former can be avoided if they listen attentively to fan feedback about what could be changed and such, and then put the same effort and love into that like they did with everything else.

And if the latter happens, then we cut OUR losses and abandon EA altogether.

EA should be in favor of fixinig it, if only because they sank so much money into other merchandizing efforts. If ME3 fails, can the people who bought the iOS games deman THEIR money back too? Can people bring back their action figures? At the end of the day, it's a better deal for EA to just have a new ending made and distributed FREE versus refund demands. And yeah, as mentioned a few pages ago, some distributors are granting refunds to the outraged masses for the game. And I for one am strongly considering it.

I love the logic on the Mass Effect Datapad. I can purchase some upgrade that provides "significant additional readiness" for 500 000 credits. I could launch enough missions to push my readiness to 100% and still not have 500 000 credits.

Just to do the math on this, I can launch a 5 hour mission for about 1000 credits, leaving me to complete 500 missions to reach 500 000 credits. For each mission, I also recieve about 1.5% readiness. By the time I reach 500 000 credits, my readiness could be as high as 700%.

Yea i saw that too, thought the number must be wrong. But you know, they just didnt have enough time to finish it...

Its like writing a book and then you take out the 100 last pages and write end under the "new" last page, best do it in the middle of a sentence too :P

I'd laugh myself to death if the world ended as well. At least you'd go out on a high note and with a smile.

Hell I'dd be drunk, so its not like I would really care one way or the other, so long as I go out after getting me a FREE DLC ending where my Shep gets to have a multi racial family with Liara, by adopting War Orphans, my GF in my arms, and a bottle of whiskey on the night stand, I won't mind going out that way. I'll be the happiest woman in the world at that point~! >>

Okay enough off topic stuff:

I'm wondering what the people at the Seattle Times would say if I brough this whole movement to them... They'd appluad us for the Child's Play thing I know that much...

And yet it still wouldn't matter in the end (pun intended). I still have a hard time grasping the logic behind this as a business manouver. Maybe I'm chasing unicorns. <_<

Very much this, lets not turn the thread into cheering spam, theTali thread reached 5005, while 2000 is a milestone for us, lets attempt to remain conservative about it.

Go for it! It's pretty obvious that the majority of articles running with negative stories about us are in EA's pockets. We're doing the right thing by bringing our side of the story to reputable news outlets. If BioWare are still planning on delaying any decisions/announcements then this will surely be the best way to get it out of them.

Not sure really. My dreams have been all blurry for a while now, but I did get glimpses of spaceships. Maybe my mind is trying to block out the pain. Who knows?

If it is good, I will 100% support it.  I mean, really, anything short of it just being a shot of the developers mooning us would be an upgrade.

Holding the line in detroit as well

You should definately try contacting them. Maybe they won't be interested in our cause per se, but they might be interested doing something from more general point-of-view, like all the different things we have done to get attention to our cause, namely Child's Play and social media.

Though in all honesty I have to kinda go 'huh' everytime so called conventional media does a story on how people have used social media to do X (and how they always manage to sound surprised too). I just mean, it has been around for some time now, it's not precisely novelty anymore...
