The more people finish the game the more say that the ending has ruined the trilogy.
www.gamestar.de/index.cfm
57,9% The ending ruined the trilogy
8,4% Are somewhat disappointed with the ending
19,7% haven't beaten the game yet
I expect even more people voting for "the runined trilogy" in the next few days.
About 23k participants so far.

Now is this a sign of panic on BioWare's part and possibly an indication that they've realised they need to put more effort into DA3 or possibly allocate resources to fixing ME3. Lots of speculation to be had here, no clue what there upto but all signs point to panic stations.

I tried to write spontaneously some kind of model letter for those, who might be interested in contacting other major newpapers or news magazines in Germany and not only gaming magazines. So I tried to write it that way, that I explained the whole phenomenon more generally and not just like a "geek" problem... but its not a final draft of course and there might be some grammatical mistakes in it or some typos because i wrote it really quickly down. Also there is of course a lot of my own view in it, so it should be just seen a bit more like an inspiration for oyu to write an own letter and get decently and in a proper in touch with other media

You should definately try contacting them. Maybe they won't be interested in our cause per se, but they might be interested doing something from more general point-of-view, like all the different things we have done to get attention to our cause, namely Child's Play and social media.
Though in all honesty I have to kinda go 'huh' everytime so called conventional media does a story on how people have used social media to do X (and how they always manage to sound surprised too). I just mean, it has been around for some time now, it's not precisely novelty anymore...
Yes, it has, but at the same time it is still something quite alien to people who are used only to using conventional media. I doubt my parents and many of their generations fully grasp the concept of social media.

Hell I'dd be drunk, so its not like I would really care one way or the other, so long as I go out after getting me a FREE DLC ending where my Shep gets to have a multi racial family with Liara, by adopting War Orphans, my GF in my arms, and a bottle of whiskey on the night stand, I won't mind going out that way. I'll be the happiest woman in the world at that point~! >>
Okay enough off topic stuff:
I'm wondering what the people at the Seattle Times would say if I brough this whole movement to them... They'd appluad us for the Child's Play thing I know that much...
That sounds like a mighty fine plan you got there missy.
As for the Seattle Times...do it
Hell yeah it is~!
They are one of the few physical newpapers still aournd, and it would be nice to see it in good old fashioned printed word...

Interesting, especially with the timing. If they're fixing ME3 ending, they would need alot of resources to get it done quickly before anymore damage is done. Still, it will take months to complete a DLC if they're starting from square one.

I think you could also add something about the nature of gaming having been changin towards a more interactive situation, not only in games themselves, but also with development and content (just look at Total War campaigns, Skyrim, DA mods etc etc), and how Bioware has been, if not the flagship, a major player of this trend.
But otherwise really nice, what I could understand that is (5 years from the last time I have actively used German) :innocent:

Have just tead through. It is written in very concise wording. Very well done.
The only thing that is missing is to explain what we actually want. Get more endings and some more in depth information what exactly happens that is.
As someone said in this thread it is not good enough to send that letter/e-mail to the media. It is better to call them ask for the right person to receive you letter and have a chat with that person first.

Let it take months to complete. I just want to read straightforward statement soon about that DLC, so further damages can be avoided.

Is anyone else a little concerned that if Bioware does change the ending, they may still screw it up? Or that, if we hit Bioware too hard, EA may simply decide to cut their losses and abandon Mass Effect altogether? Meaning that there would be no ending fix?
Maybe I'm just crazy, but I see those as potential unintended outcomes of all this.
Sorry for dragging this back up, was at a college class and I'm trying to catch up on the last 10+ pages.
I don't think they could screw up an ending fix. Wanna know why? Because after all this uproar they'd be idiots to not involve the community. They already have a suggestion thread. They'd probably make more specific suggestion threads, take ideas from there, and roll with 'em.

As I can't access the page without a Facebook account, why the hell do these people support the catastrophe caused by EA and Bioware?
