Calm down, please. They are just saying that to defend themselves. "Plenty" is undefined, in their eyes 1000 people could be "plenty" to support that statement.

In the long run, we will win! HOLD THE LINE!

Would you be calm if you see a kid with a loaded gun, pointing it at himself? Because that's what I see right now.

Err. kids? I think the median age for players of ME3 is quite high compared to other game genres,

I didn't mean that we are kids, but if you saw some of the earlier articles and videos on this issue, they have tried to make us into kids. I know we aren't. But if they can make us look like we are, its easier to dismiss us.

I think that twitter post was just very poorly worded.

they pretty much said they are siding with the people who like the ending and consider changing it affornt

I thought the exact same thing when I first read it. But there is no way they would openly declare that over twitter in that manner.

the exact statement says "we are getting plenty of feedback from people who love the ending and consider the thought of changing it an affront, as well"

That whole ",as well" at the end means that the players who like the ending also think changing it is a bad idea.

that's it.

That's gotta be what they mean.

We are getting plenty of feedback from people who love the ending and consider the thought of changing it an affront, as well.

Spot on. It's having the same effect as a dangling participle; i.e. people are thinking Bioware is affronted when they meant that the other fans were affronted.

Bioware has not said they are affronted everyone.

hold the line.

You shouldn't (seriously).

There was a report earlier in the day, to the effect that some commentator on some website has accused us of contemplating sending suicide bombers into BW. That ignoble wretch could get in serious trouble (I don't want to use the L-word, but you get my meaning): you can't just fling false accusations at people like that in an open society; it's a crime. But it's also a good reminder to us, as to how spineless these people can get. Let's not give them any excuses.

Pleasy try to cool down a little soldier.
I know how you're feeling the rage... however we need to stay civil and cool. We need to show em how we are firms with our decisions.

I'm not angry or raging, I just prefer voicing my opinion in a more noticable way :)

It's not really helping our image when you voice it like that. As has been said before, please try to remain civil.

The polls and fan bashlack is what really pushes the cause forwards. My opinion doesn't matter and i'm sure Bioware don't give a damn about it so I can voice it as I please

Calm. Calm! Everyone remain civil!

I think what's going on is that people are misinterpreting that tweet. It was clear to me that they meant fans who like the ending would be affronted by changing it. I suspect many people understood the tweet to mean that Bioware would be affronted by changing the ending. I seriously doubt that this is what the tweet meant.

I repeat: they meant some fans would be affronted, not Bioware.

Amazon.com gave me a full refund!

Yup, I asked their customer service department today if this would be possible on the grounds that the game is nothing what was promised by BioWare and to my surprise, they offered me a 100% full refund. So, as of a few moments ago, the RMA has been completed, the game packaged up, Origin deleted, and ME:3 removed from my hard drive.

Tis a sad day but perhaps there will be an update at some point in the future. Until then, I'm just going to try and forget how terrible it was.

I still have not managed to play anything since I finished ME3, or well, I think I managed 5 mins in a round of pointless helicopter flying in BF3, all I've been doing is really just reminisce, looking up videos on youtube of old fond memories regarding specific events, Mordin Solus singing, conversations about elevators with Garrus and Tali, and many more conversations including all of the cast members of the series.

It still saddens me that the series and my gaming lust in general was completely destroyed in the matter of 10 mins, I'm not exactly a person that views things with the utmost positivity, but damnit did I want that house with Tali, and my blue babies with Liara in another playthrough, sadly though, I've come to believe they will not make that possible, it's a sugar sweet almost pukeable ending, but it's what I want, and even if it is not made available, that is how the game will forever be remembered to me, not for the atrocity it is right now.

I support our movement, I find our chances dim at best though, here's to hoping we get results although the pessimist in me believes we are all f*****.

They are about as good at PR as anyone else, they just have a giant tidal wave. Hard to hold that back.

Sometimes I doubt that. This is the second time a badly worded or misguided tweet caused a massive backlash. I have no media/PR training and I can see that the way this tweet was written would create misunderstandings. I'm not saying that the entire PR departement is bad, but some of these people don't always seem to think before they post.

That is, unfortunately, the hazard of Twitter. Remember all those people that got fired over something they said on a social network? Its a completely new paradigm that hasn't really been recognized for what it is yet.

Seriously, it's so easy to post a stupid thing to twitter and cause a backlash and most PR people, if this whole movement is any evidence, don't really know how to handle that.

Give 'em a break, try and read between the lines, keep an open mind. I'm not saying that you should become an apologist, just that everyone can make mistakes on Twitter.

Bioware should be thanking Retake Movement instead of their marketing team, seems they're getting more coverage on ME3 from the Retake Movement than the marketeers.

Exactly. If Bioware were to handle this correctly, release an ending DLC because of 'fan pressure' (not 'because we messed up') they would be seen as a reasonable company that values its customers and get some good coverage.

Instead they saying nothing and looking like they don't care about anything but money.
