They are about as good at PR as anyone else, they just have a giant tidal wave. Hard to hold that back.

Sometimes I doubt that. This is the second time a badly worded or misguided tweet caused a massive backlash. I have no media/PR training and I can see that the way this tweet was written would create misunderstandings. I'm not saying that the entire PR departement is bad, but some of these people don't always seem to think before they post.

No you make a good point, but what I'm saying is that they are probably working the pr people to death trying to contain this, and they are starting to get haggard, and worn down, thus making more, and more mistakes.

If this is true anyone else feel like jumping on this??? Anybody, keep tweeting messaging and such until somebody really sticks their foot in their mouths.

They can easilly delete a "We have no plans to change the ending at this time" message, but someone tripping up and flat out stating "Fine the endings will be changed" can't be deleted after its been stated.

Anybody? Yes? No?

Its a faint hope that they could really be worn down like this but it is a hope.

That and maybe the PR team will eventually say to hell with this and tell their own employers to answer. I sure as hell would after a week or two of this.

Has the Twitter guy cracked under the pressure or something?

Lol, I actually feel sorry for the guy.

He's probably been handed a big sheet covering what he can say or what he has to say regardless of own opinion.
Be nice to the poor chap

Lmao. Bioware would get PO'd.

This is what most people think, but when looking around me, I see the majority of gamers I know being beyond their 30s and 40s.

The audience of CoD and MoH may be slightly younger though ;)

I have 3234 war assets is that enough points for Shepard to stay alive?

You need at least 4000 EMS (saving anderson)
or 5000 EMS (if anderson dies)

There are no more EMS points so i can not get the ending i want.

ME3 biggest problems:
Problem #1: SPACE MAGIC :wizard:
Problem #2: EMS without multiplayer

Ok, thank you for the info everyone, i will just finish the game for now and wait for the bug to be fixed.

I think what's going on is that people are misinterpreting that tweet. It was clear to me that they meant fans who like the ending would be affronted by changing it. I suspect many people understood the tweet to mean that Bioware would be affronted by changing the ending. I seriously doubt that this is what the tweet meant.

I repeat: they meant some fans would be affronted, not Bioware.

What I got from it is that BW is getting snarky at us, and isn't really wanting to take us seriously.

Shouting or offending them won't help the cause.

Oh, I agree 100%, just my observations. While PR people don't know the big descisions, you can learn alot of the companies attitude through them. Hence I enjoy reading things in PR speak, that's all.

It's not patronizing; seriously. Last time they shut down the entire boards for an hour, because they found one post in a thread which contained words they didn't like.

We're trying to be cautious, while voicing our opinions, no holds barred. Yes, it's possible.

Amazon.com gave me a full refund!

Yup, I asked their customer service department today if this would be possible on the grounds that the game is nothing what was promised by BioWare and to my surprise, they offered me a 100% full refund. So, as of a few moments ago, the RMA has been completed, the game packaged up, Origin deleted, and ME:3 removed from my hard drive.

Tis a sad day but perhaps there will be an update at some point in the future. Until then, I'm just going to try and forget how terrible it was.

Then I salute you for doing what most people would not have the motivation to do.

Now if a couple hundred thousand more people did the same, EA would have to start explaining things a lot more quickly than they are now.

*salute*

I'm sad to say I bought mine completely through Origin. No more, I say - no more. Amazon.com you shall have even more of my well-earned money!

nothing new in the end, but, you know, meh

Every new article, even ones that just repeat information, all help little by little. They're getting the word out so that everyone will know. Pretty soon a google search for mass effect will result in all the articles about the endings outnumbering all other ME related articles. This honestly makes me think of logistic differential equations that model viruses etc. spreading throughout a population....yes i'm a nerd. but hey, nerds are the future.

Lol I love how he uses the word "clearly" when that statement (including everything else being said on this issue from the developers) is vague at best. Right now all we know is that they "are listening." Yeup, makes me feel so much better :?

At this point in my life, based on hours per week spent playing, my dad's more of a hardcore gamer than I am with his MMOs.

I'm sorry, but I'll never accept the 3 endings we got as diverse or different when essentially the only difference between them was the color of the blast. It's ludicrous and we were promised that we wouldn't get vanilla ABC endings. Also, the lack of any closure was incredibly upsetting and we were promised closure. What gives Bioware?

Frankly i cannot support less that the 16 endings I was promised.

I only replayed ME2 1 time with half the classes. Imagine how many replays with 16 different endings.

It would be the most powerful weapon we as consumers and players could wield, and EA would feel it directly where it hurts them the most.  Even moreso when you consider what that sort of return rate would likely do the their stock value......

Amazon seems willing to embrace those of us who are that upset, it's an opportunity to do something to really show where you stand.

You are allowed to express you're opinion, but please remember that it can end up hurting the cause. Everyone feels the same as you and would probably love to rant their hearth out, but we have to keep our eyes at the bigger picture.

If you need to vent I recommend Youtube comments :P Plenty of people would gladly jump at you for expressing "any" kind of opinion giving you lots of fodder for the rage.

Wow, just overheard a group of co-workers ****ing about the ending and planning to return their copies en-mass. I can't think I have ever heard any gaming talk in the office ever. Didn't even notice the talk until I heard "it was the same damn ending, all they did was change the colors" followed by expletives.

These aren't the kind of folks to hang out in forums, or vote on FB polls. We're talking a bunch of 40 year old white collar guys.
