I'm kinda lost, actually...
Where does he stand on it?  For?  Against?  Neutral?

I think I he's saying something about us being unsastisfied even if a new ending was written or something like that...  I'm not sure.  Someone clarify this?

He seems to be against changing the ending because he's hardcore into the "ART IS IMMUTABLE AND PERFECT IF THE ARTIST IS HAPPY WITH IT" camp.

Its the same old 'art' argument that has been pointed out as garbage more than once.

The core issue is that this is a product that is NOT what we were told it would be at the end. Indeed, the ending is exactly what they told us it wouldn't be.

I know :( Kinda sad to think about, it's a shame they can't comment on the matter... However, there are unconfirmed rumors going about that Mr. Sheen was the one that donated 10k for the charity.

Let's hope there is a second line at Bioware HQ.

Hold the line!

As in Charlie Sheen?
...No, seriously, I can never remember names.

As in Martin Sheen, the voice of the illusive man. Charlie Sheen's dad.

Nifty idea, but source for that? I remember seeing the 10k jump.  It would certainly be a target for wish-fulfilment fantasy - "This would be cool if it were true, and 10 repetitions later it's 'a rumor.' "

None of the actors would be unprofessional enough to take ownership of this unless they contacted BWEA about it first, so please don't bug any of them for confirmation through their various open channels.

Wow, just overheard a group of co-workers ****ing about the ending and planning to return their copies en-mass. I can't think I have ever heard any gaming talk in the office ever. Didn't even notice the talk until I heard "it was the same damn ending, all they did was change the colors" followed by expletives.

These aren't the kind of folks to hang out in forums, or vote on FB polls. We're talking a bunch of 40 year old white collar guys.

I wish that the rest of the world would do away with this notion that gamers are all young teenagers. Games are just another form of media like movies, music, etc. but no one questions people who partake in those forms of entertainmen. Didn't rock and roll go through a lot of the same scrutiny when it first debuted? History is just repeating itself.

A random thought... Is it strange that I'm thinking that if they wait too long without a straight-on announcement, we will be told something along the lines of... "The BioWare has been destroyed"?

Oooookaay. Well, this is self-signed death sentence for Bioware. I'm thinking about stop being polite and start telling those ****** who they really are: ******.

You shouldn't (seriously).

There was a report earlier in the day, to the effect that some commentator on some website has accused us of contemplating sending suicide bombers into BW. That ignoble wretch could get in serious trouble (I don't want to use the L-word, but you get my meaning): you can't just fling false accusations at people like that in an open society; it's a crime. But it's also a good reminder to us, as to how spineless these people can get. Let's not give them any excuses.

Sending suicide bombers... I have no words.. .. that has to be the dumbest thing anyone against  us has said...

So that commentator was completely full of BS and was missing the point that if someone bombed Bioware... We would NEVER get the ending we wanted?

Ok I'm sorry but this is getting ridicolous.  We would never do anything like this.

Many of us are being polite and respectful.  Sure there are crazies out there but really?

Who put this report out anyway?

Be nice to the poor chap

Makes me wonder what's going on with the team that made ME3...  Or the voice actors, for that matter.  How many of them looked at the ending and wondered/said "This?  Really?"

Just when I thought Bioware couldn't disappoint me any more...

This Twitter stuff... Just wow...

First: That tweet is obviously an attempt to divert our attention off of them and onto... other gamers? Do they seriously think that we can't see through this? I do respect the fact that Bioware is being a responsible company by acknowledging ALL customer opinions, but to try to use that to turn us against each other is just silly. Which brings up my second point.

Second: I must go on record to say that everyone who paid to play this game has a right to their own opinion on this subject. Even if we don't agree with the fact that some people like the ending (I don't), their opinion is still valid and should be taken into consideration. HOWEVER! You can;t make everyone happy all of the time. My father taught me that a long time ago, and I have to assume that most, if not everyone here and in Bioware understands this fundamental fact of life as well. So I will throw a page of Bioware's own script right back in their faces.

What would Shepard do?

Bioware is now being faced with the same type of decision they have been giving us for the last 5 years. If they are really going to consider not changing the end based on the opinion of a (vast) minority, then are they really going to sacrifice the needs of many for the needs of a few? Or would they man up and make the tough choice? Will they do what they have been telling us all along is right? Will they sacrifice a few to save many?

Shepard sacrificed Kaiden (or Ashley) to save the entire crew.

Mordin sacrificed himself to save an entire species.

Shepard (presumably) sacrificed him/herself to save the entire galaxy.

Why should Bioware be any different?

I ask you again: What would Shepard do?

You know guys I'm honestly a little worried that some of the flamier posts on Twitter and these boards as well as others are the result of EA going behind BioWare's back and hiring out people to be inflammatory.

Remember that this is the same company whose marketing division hired FAKE PROTESTORS to pretend to be religious and pissed off about the game Dante's Inferno.

People really need to stop saying that video games are art. They are entertainment

Feel free to express your art in free games but as soon as you start charging people money then you lose all artistic freedom and finished product should be what the customer wanted and not what you want to create.

For example, If i payed someone to paint me a dog I would be slightly pissed off if they instead painted me a shoe claiming that they think the shoe is artistically better and then still charged me for it.

You might claim its an artistic masterpiece but it's not what i ****ing asked for! XD

Doubtful. Very doubtful. Rome didn't just fall to the Germanics; it was a political, social, economical and agricultural decay.

....I thought video games were supposed to be changable art with DLC and patches. The point is to make their art perfect so you fix bugs and add new content.

This coming from the concept artist/game designer student.

Really? So they are saying that feedback they are getting from fans is suggesting that they shouldnt change the ending? Yeah umm i have a question about that... (and no offence by this)

Are Bioware staff children playing the game "opposite day" (my brother liked to play that, whatever someone said he would say they said the opposite) only for a month? Clearly these forums are proving that the majority of fans do not like the ending and want it changed.

Oh well, if Bioware chooses not to correct this mistake it's their problem not ours. There are alot of game companies that we can take our business to instead. I've seen alot of people who have said they wont buy from Bioware ever again if the ending isnt fixed, and others who state that they will only buy the games when they are in the bargain bin.

On a different note, i am curious how long it will actually be before we are given a definite answer regarding this. I want to know so i can either wait for DLC to fix the ending, or know that it isnt coming so i can stop watching the forums and give up on Bioware.

(PS: That comment is most definately not an attack on Bioware staff or anyone else, just thats what that tweet reminds me of and never saw an adult who played that "game")
