So we can't get the ending we want after all?

And then watch as the Bioware team finds itself talking to two security guards, a cardboard cutout of Shepard and the gently swinging door everyone just walked through.
I'd also estimate a 30% probability of the Shepard cutout attempting to run away and a 70% probability of it spontainiously bursting into flame.
then the catalyst will use space magic

What are your thoughts on this?
This:
There is subjectively bad and objectively bad. The outcry in the Bioware forum is: MAKE IT GO AWAY. Some 50,000 people in the forums (the amount of people who support bioware on this is about 300-400) want not x, or y, or z changed or implemented, they want anything BUT this ending.
Bioware failed not only in storytelling 101 (http://social.biowa...dex/10022779/1) but also in the core feature of their product: interactivity.
What means interactive Storytelling? Are there basic principles? Yes they look like this:
"Acommodate Player expectations: It's their game too, remember. You have to have some kind of idea what type of game the players want to play.", "Don't forget the payoff: If the players work hard and make smart decisions, their characters' success must be in proportion of the challenges they have faced, or they will feel cheated.", and "Don't abuse your power: You are the final arbiter of events. Your word is law, but you can not use this authority to beat the characters into what you want them to do."
The same thing goes for Mass Effect 3. It is an interactive storytelling experience. The player is Commander Shepard. When the Bioware team forces Shepard into the "god Child" choices they betray everything outlined above. they force you (!) into their (!) conclusion and deny them any payoff (!). This does not mean that the artists are not crafting the story but this is interactive! That needs to be taken into account. You can not make this interactive and then start to railroad it. Bioware choose to make this "interactive" even ADVERTISED WITH IT. (And did a darn good job with ME, ME2 and 95% of ME3) But they dropped the ball with this so hard its not funny.
There is emotional investment here that needs to be treated carefully. If you ever did a pen & paper session you know that. And ME 3 is more like Roleplaying (and I don't mean that grinding bull***) than like tetris.
Read this: http://www.themetag...blem-with.html.
And maybe you will understand what this frustration is about.
And to everybody that has not played the game: With all due respect but you have NO CLUE what is going on here.

Thanks, when I feel my resolve cracking, it is posts like that that help. I think that is the trouble, when people argue their way into trying to get you to think that maybe, we were wrong after all and that the ending was ok...
But then I give myself a shake, come on here, and am like. YES. WE, deserve better, MASS EFFECT deserves better, SHEPARD deserves better.
You're very welcomeIt helps my resolve as well. And if you UK fleet people could record statements like the one you just posted, it'd be incredibly reassuring to all us Americans. We do have quite the (jealous) love for English accents.

So the https://twitter.com/#!/masseffect does in fact get A LOT of positive feedback on the endings. Are there really so many people who just twitter and do not take part in polls? Man... I feel sick... How can anyone like these things?
One annoying thing about Twitter: people tweet nice things so they can replies. <_<

I mean there should be some idea behind the scen shouldn't it?
Even EA wouldn't publish an unfinished game... or maybe yes... what do I know?!
No, but seriusly the only thing I can accept as a possible solution is that they needed more time, but EA was behind them with a pitchfork.
Damn rEApers...
I've actually spoken with a high-end EA shareholder who admitted to pushing for advanced release dates at meetings. Like us, he is a gamer and was capable of listening to reason. "You do realize, that if this project falls on it's face on release, you'll be hurting your investment, right?" That wasn't ME though, nor was the often demonized CEO. It was shareholder pressure.

BW is unable to release a statement about when they can release a statement. They won't even tell us when they can talk about the ending. It had better be by PAX East.
Is that PAX thing going to take place before amazon's return period ends?
PAX is on the 6th April. Bioware will be there and it is well known that they were intending to make some statement about ME3 there. This is from before the call for a new ending started btw.
Watch it be MP DLC, or an equipment pack.
And then watch as the Bioware team finds itself talking to two security guards, a cardboard cutout of Shepard and the gently swinging door everyone just walked through.

What are your thoughts on this?
I think we didn't get that "statement" from author of this "artwork" mentioned in the article yet. When they release such a statement - straight yes/no/FU - than we'll see.
"This whole thing is making me a little bit sad because I don't think anyone would get what they wanted if that happened."
Well, I can guarantee you that no matter how the chips fall in this situation, Bioware definitely won't be getting what they want. And that's more of my money.

That's not necessarily true. It just means they're selecting who exactly they're responding to.

Yeah, I don't really use twitter and don't know how it works... but from what I get the messages only appear if they answer to your tweet? That makes sense then. They can actually control how much positive and negative feedback is shown so it seems there is 60% positive and 40% negative feedback on the endings...

Expanding on that: It's also important to point out that the game itself IS NOT ART but rather it is A STORY. Is there art in this story? Why yes there is and it's fantastic(even with google images). ART doesn't have to make sense but STORIES absolutly do and the Mass Effect 3 ending absolutly DOES NOT. So that guy is 100% wrong.
The 'art' or 'story' arguments are besides the point.
Mass Effect 3 is a product that has failed to live up to the expectations of Biowares customers. It is also a product that is ends in a way we were specifically told it would not.
This is a point that should be made constantly. We are consumers of a product, and we should have the same rights as someone who buys a car or a washing machine.
