People returning their copies, that of course is entirely up to you, but that is going to mean a financial loss for Bioware, we are not at war with Bioware, we are fighting because we care, if they get financial problems then it's going to be difficult for them to develop more content, that includes any new endings.

It won't be an immediate financial loss for BioWare as BioWare will not be providing the refunds. If Amazon chooses to refund the customers then if they are going to claim any money back from this loss it will be through sales insurance. Remember, companies that have sold physical copies of the game have effectively bought them from EA already.

It will make the shareholders sit up and take notice however, and so there may be some pressure. It will not financially harm BW though.

I am beginning to wonder, also, why Bioware is being so secretive when it comes to explaining the existing ending. I mean...it's there, most of their player base has seen it...why is an official explanation a big deal?

That happened very early monday morning along with a facebook page - lets just say PR explosion on them - both were quickly deleted; they pulled Jessica literally out of bed in the middle of the night to quote and quote calm the storm..

It gave quite a few a good shot of hope when they needed it - We need to keep up the numbers - 24/7 as they can't and will crack under it.

We're seeing this now......big time cracks - I'm still watching the tweets - still mainly saying love the game - hate the ending....

They are trying to show others - but they can slow for a moment; but they can't stop - Its spilling over into their other projects - then you know its getting very serous.

Does anyone still have the mailing address for BioWare? I sent my copy back to Amazon.com today and would like to write them a letter as I tend to think it has more impact than just stating our concerns on the forums.

Personally I can see someone being able to deal with the ending considering how great the series is as a whole; but folks stating that they "loved" the ending is mind-boggling to me. As much as we love Bioware its okay to let them know they dropped the ball, its what friends are for.

I just finished me1 again (started a new playthrough in anticipation of 3 and was going to ilos, I could not have played it otherwise). In the last fight against saren, he says that sovereign upgraded him. He said he was a union of man and machine (sounds like synthesis) and the future of evolution. Shepard then basically calls him an idiot.

Not only are the endings riddled with plotholes one is a direct contradiction to what happened in previous games.

Because they don't have one? 


Space Magic  is the answer for everything.

There's a simple answer for those folks that desperately want to keep the ending. It gives Bioware a way to save face, the people who like the original ending the knowledge that they got the real one, etc.

Bioware could say that the ending is game is the one intended. They could then release an optional DLC called "What If". Bioware could make it clear that this is an alternate Shep or whatever and let us see:

-- "What if the ending was the early / mid stages of indoctrination"
-- "What if Shep lives ... what's his life like"
-- "What if Shep dies ... what is his funeral like"
-- "What is the state of Shep / squad / civilizations in during the short, medium, and "long" terms??

Can anyone see from in this Final Hours thing I don't have, if there's anything that can actually nail it to a date?  Or anything that looks oddly recent?  Screens on monitors, calendars, magazines, anything like that?

On that note, what're some of the "egg" tweeters' names?  I'd be curious to look at their accounts and see what else they've tweeted - if anything - and how old the accounts are.
