Another reviewer who's missing the point completely

Irony is he was concerned that EA was ruining it just over a year ago...quite a sense of entitlement he has, telling Bioware not to 'dumb the game down'

Ahhhhh sweet, sweet hipocrisy

Ha, I don't trust any reviewers anymore.

I don't foresee Yahtzee supporting us. He's both really vitriolic and pessimistic, and it'll probably be easier to rip into us than explain our position. He's not very fond of Bioware games in the first place, iirc.

He is a Mass Effect fan, thats why he got miffed over the ashes dlc.

Did he? I didn't see that...

Can I just say something about the wee kid according to the art book I got with the CE it says
"One child would be the face of the people on Earth whom Shepard could not save"

Yeah that made SENSE... I liked the kid who haunted Shepard, it gave him/her a bit more drive.  I even understood the running through the forest dreams.. they're dreams.. I mean most of my dreams involve giant inflatable walruses and me trying to catch them with 12 gauge pokeballs...

It made SENSE when Shepard snaps at Joker after Thessia's kick in the gut.. heck I would have been hard pressed not to renegade trigger if The Illusive Man walked out of nowhere... it gave me drive to put a mass slug in his head.

That kid that kept reminding you "You can't save everyone".  It reinforced the idea of war... that people die.... then the ending came, showed that everyone dies, life doesn't go on, and you're royally screwed in technicolour.

Respond en masse people. As Admiral Hacket said

"We need to engage the rEApers on every theater of war they open"

Am off to bed now for some much needed rest, but I'm still holding the line. Stay strong, guys, we'll get there.

The reason for the two week wait is PAX: East. That happens in 16 days, which is roughly two weeks. Expect an announcement at PAX East or just before.

Yeah see the kid makes sense to me too, it even makes sense the thing at the end takes on the form of the kid (I mean we have to assume something supposedly so powerful and has mind control would be able to read minds too right?) Meh maybe I am wrong, and I just don't get it. At least I'm not alone in the confusion anyway.

Not only that but the way the scene was set up where the kid was introduced was basically the setup for "hallucination child" in every other form of media. The dreams kept hammering this home. The fact that he was the catalyst though was, in retrospect, their way of foreshadowing him. Then again the fact that Shepard sees himself BURNING in the Dream with the Reaper noise towards the end could mean indoctrination... I hope it does, at least.

Yeah, what I can't figure out is why Shepard's mind would choose the image of the kid at the end to represent the creator of the Reapers.  Legion's geth collective mission implied Shepard's mind would fill in what she couldn't comprehend with placeholders.  Like why she has a gun to destroy infected Reaper code - Shepard understands guns.

But that kid... the analogy just doesn't apply for me.  I agree with what others have stated that the child represents all Shepard lost, the people she can't save, her doubts and fears about defeating the Reapers.  It was somewhat disturbing during the last nightmare where the child runs into someone's arms and it's Shepard, staring back with this creepy smile as they are both engulfed in flames...

But if that is the case, why choose the symbol of something Shepard would instinctively try to protect (and actively chasing after and trying to save during reoccuring nightmares throughout the entire duration of ME3) as the representation of the ultimate 'bad guy' of the series - the Reaper creator who, regardless of the 'reason' why, has committed unspeakable genocide throughout history?

That just... doesn't make sense.  An Asari phantom would make more sense than an innocent kid.

Or maybe if your Shep was a Sole Survivor, a Thresher Maw...  With Harbinger's voice.  THAT would do something nasty to their head.

It's constantly ironic that the more we think about these plotholes, the less sense it makes...

If it is meant to represent the people he has lost WHY NOT USE THE VIRMIRE SACRIFICE?!?!? It has been established in ME1 and ME2 Shep feels terrible for that, he had to make a choice, he did, he lives with it but it haunts him. It would have been much better then using Space Ghost.

It's also annoying how Joker went from being a beloved character, to being a coward, a deserter, and the potential future brood-husband for your LI.

I can play the waiting game if this is how BW wants to handle the situation. Two weeks? I'm in it for the long haul. One thing BW must consider during this time period: The waiting game can go both ways if things stand as is. They may be waiting indefinitely for fans that they have alienated to open our collective wallets for any of their future endeavors.

Dragon Age III - The Witcher 3 looks better and better.
SW: TOR - Diablo III and Guild Wars 2 are on the Horizon.
C&C Generals 2 - Hello StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm!

Not sure if someone's posted this yet, but here's an article on Gametrailers about how unsatisfying the endings are (he also takes some digs at the implementation of the War Asset system)

This is pretty major, as Gametrailers is owned by that mother of all corporate shills, Spike TV, whose VGA's are pretty much a giant trailer debuting, back patting insider event. To see an article like this on a site like that has got to mean something.

I don't see this as much different than the Game of the Year Editions...
Also, little known fact, Microsoft generally requires its AAA partners to charge for DLC.  They make money off it, so it makes sense from Microsoft's point of view.  I forget who it was a couple years ago wanted to do a free DLC and Microsoft wouldn't let them.  Now, I guarantee Microsoft would let Bioware/EA do a free DLC for ME3... all that anger-rage would move over to the Xbox forums from here if they didn't haha.

Personally though I'd pay for the endings to ME3... I'm glimmer of hoping they just decide to fix it and gift it to the community as an olive branch.. but, hey, I understand, I'm a programmer.. I like to eat.. and pay my bills on time.

Go get a drink, wind yourself down and come back to the line. Or I send Commisar Yarrick and Chaplain Grimaldus to find you.

In all seriousness though, don't let this consume you. You need to balance real world things with the Line just like you need to do with your gaming time.

Don't burn yourself out, but don't forget about the line either
