as long as they are not attacked first but if snide comments starting thrown around at people to their faces...

Things will not end well... Its one thing to throw insults at some one over the net...its whole other ballgame to do it  in person...

Yeah that's true, maybe I should rephrase. I hope noone acts like idiots at PAX lol

One can only hope, but I've been on protest marches where you have frindge groups who's only agenda is to stir up trouble, heck they might not even be fans, just people who see oppertunity to start trouble, most of the football riots that britain saw in the past were instigated by outsiders.

There will be an announcement before PAX anyway, hopefully this will be the news we're after and therefore will prevent trouble. If however its not the news we're after then i really fear for the event as a whole

Nothing new pertaining to Bioware, it's been stated they will not make any announcements for at least 2 weeks.

They will address it. How? It's up to them, but I'm sure they'll have something new to say by then. They're good people. As for people in the crowd? If some smuck decides that it is time for "payback", they wont reflect on the rest of the fan base.

And aren't they announcing plans for PAX today? maybe they'll confirm that there will be a statement at PAX ragarding the issues about the ending? most of it will be about times and schedule but they also said "other aspects"

2 weeks?

They really want us to keep waiting, eh?

Well, lets hope they don´t then just make a "it will all stay as it is" statement...

greets from Germany :)

Personally, already cancelled my TOR subs, my brother did too after he finished ME3. If BW doesnt pick up its act, I'm def getting my money back and giving it to charity.

There must an annoucement before pax or everything at their panel will revolve around this.

Uh... I really hope that they say something way before those two weeks, or they'll find that when they announce whatever they want to announce nobody will care anymore.

Its going to revolve around it regardless, if they say nothing then everyone will want answers, if they say they will change it then the questions will be about fan pressure and recognition of disappointment, and if they dont change it then the questions will be about why they think the ending is adequate and how they justify not giving closure

Kinda worried about this, too. Hope we don't see a hooligan attack on the panel or something... this would really be the worst possible PR for the movement and pretty much destroy the hard work people have been throwing in it.

A civil and calm demonstration of unity and determination for the cause however would be great.

Too bad I live few thousand miles away and can't come anyway.

This of course is considering that there is no announcement till then. We don't know about that yet

Even if Bioware's tactics work and the storm eventually blows over, I don't think they realize that for every voice that goes silent it's a fan that has lost all hope for Bioware.

That person will most likely never want to have anything to do with them anymore. I can say that it's like that for me atleast... Far to often it's been proven that the only way we gamers really have a voice is by voting with our wallets.

The sad thing is that I want to support and belive in Bioware, but I don't even know if the people I'm looking at is Bioware anymore...

There is only one solution to this that works, everything else will just make everyone lose.

Hold the line!

Look on this:
http://social.biowar...ex/10084349/313

There is a piece from Mrs. Jessica Merizan made about 3 h ago.

It says a bit about ReME3 movement, damage control and this:

"Yes, as someone previously mentioned we are actively monitoring how many people are finishing the game and comparing it to ME2 as a standard. This is the primary reason that we have held off on discussing the endings, for better or worse. You can expect fuller details later, but when I ask you to be patient it's not because I hate you or am scrambling to find the right words to say. I will tell you that I'm really encouraged by the feedback I'm getting and what I'm hearing from the team and I look forward to when that can be shared. Also, multiplayer numbers are a completely separate metric so you don't need to worry about us conflating the two. "

For once I'm glad I totally lost interest in playing games. I hope the less people play in ME3 the better fo Retake ME3.

But I just imagine what will "Ending DLC" do their statitics :)

I am thinking what if they decide to wait until PAX only to announce in there that they will not be making any changes to the game, and due to its current situation, that they will also be dropping the franchise....

That would give a whole new meaning to the expression "all hell will break lose"

We taken heavy damage, our banner is down! Pulling back for resupply and repair. See you all in 8 hours. Keep it civil people, and keep going we're making progress but we have to not let up. Not lose the faith nor give in to just giving up.

Hold the line.

That's what I mean. If people start to lose interest it would mean that the vast majority of them won't buy anything else related to BW anymore. I'm sure that they know this, and I'm sure that they're smart (no pun intended, I'm saying this heartily) and they're planning to say something soon.

Just an FYI

         www.wildcat.arizona.edu/index.php/article/2012/03/bioware_ending_to_mass_effect_3_mars_series_but_could_still_be_salvaged

the article incorrectly states that a petition about false advertising was sent to the FTC.

Don't worry. Gusto dies down quite a bit when a person is giving a dissenting opinion in person. Unless we have some real cowboys going to PAX, I'd wager it will be more civil than these forums (on both sides). After all, most people are cowards. Not trying to insault people who are confident, just state that the average person tends to be a lot tougher over the internet.

This was a video of John Riccitiello, the CEO of EA talking about microtransations in a stockholders meeting a few months ago:

youtu.be/ZR6-u8OIJTE

A couple of quotes from this video stood out to me, given everything that has happened with Retake Mass Effect and the general outrage/fear/anxiety regarding being charged for the "real" ending:

"When you are six hours into playing Battlefield and you run out of ammo in your clip and we ask you for a dollar to reload, you're really not very price-sensitive at this point in time"

"A consumer gets engaged in a property, they might spend 10, 20, 30, 50 hours on the game and then when they're deep into the game they're well-invested in it. We're not gouging, but we're charging and at that point in time the commitment can be pretty high"

In light of everything that has been happening, I almost find myself at a loss for words... :pinched:
