Now that they've committed to April I think it's safe to assume that means PAX East.

Can anyone think of another game where the buildup is so amazing and the ending is such a letdown? I like/love 99% of Mass Effect 3. Fallout 3 maybe? But those Bethseda games are entirely different animals all together. You don't even have to play the story.
Nope. Nothing.
While there are bad ending in other videogames (and movies, tv shows, books or comics for that matter), nothing come close to ME3 personally. Not because it's the worse thing I ever saw, but because it had the incredible power of depressing me for days.
Problem is that, right now, I don't know if I'll ever want to be involved in another story driven game from the Mass Effect team :/

I am very curious to see week 2 sales of ME3. You can track it on VGChartz.com. If it takes a huge plunge then might affect EA's stock which will in turn perhaps light a fire under them to get things moving. Returned products I think get sent back to them; that might play a role.
Dragon age 2 had less of an outcry even though its faults were far greater than ME3 all around. When it ended up selling significantly worse than Dragonage: origins then they ended up releasing 2 pretty good DLC packs which addressed at least some of the concerns (samey environments, samey enemies, and so on)- not all of the concerns. They didn't touch the ending of DA2 but they intended it to be a cliffhanger (stupidly I may add).
That's because Dragon Age II didn't try to sell the idea that your choices all mattered and then yanked the rug out from under you at the end. They made really no claims about that and most people just played the game they were presented.. some didn't like it, I didn't mind it at all, only thing I disliked was that you never left that city...ever.
When you advertise "NO A, B, OR C endings!" and push how much your choices matter, it shows A) You didn't really have a complete comprehension of your own project, or

Maybe there should be separate thread for something like this. Not for debacles - only to post letters to Dr. Muzyka, so piece like this one above are not lost in the current thread.
I posted it on the Sticky thread on the General Forums but if want to gather all them in to one thread..sure.

He probably thought "Oh I can choose a guy or a girl crewmate... Sorry Kaiden, Ashley's cuter" and so never even saw those lines of dialog.

Ray Muzyka,
First I would like to thank you for responding to this issue personally. While I and many of your customers and fans are happy that you took the time to respond. I feel that you may be missing the very point. The point being that as a customer of Bioware these endings are not of the quality that we have come to expect from the company and its games.. They are disjointed ,jarring, complete disconnected from the overall narrative. These endings also contridict the main selling point of the Mass Effect Trilogy choice. No once is Shepard allowed to refute the Catalyst logic or options. Something that Shepard has done from start of the series. Joker a constant companion to Shepard fleeing the battle is Character Derailment at it finest. Yes, I and many others do understand that the team worked extremely hard on this game and it does show. These endings are not reflective of that work or quality.
Criticism be it gentle or harsh is never destructive, what is destructive is how the party being critized handles that criticism. They can choose to accept it all be it fair or unfair take it with a gain of salt and become better or ignore it. What the Mass Effect team needs to realize is that alot of criticism does come from a malice directed towards them. If comes from their customers and their fans saying... "You can do be better than this and we will not accept it and neither should you." This is the very heart of the alot of us - your customers and fans disappoint and displeasure over the endings.
I would like to also add that calling your customers complaints destructive is not a way to handle the cristism over the endings. Please in the future choose you words a bit more wisely. We your customer have already been marginalized, attack and insult enoughg by outside sources, your usage of the word destructive is not helping ease or remedy this situation. Right now what is need by both sides its patience and humilty to that I will say this...
"We as Long time Customers of BioWare we will not stand for the lack of quality in these endings. If you want our continued business then these endings need to change and or be expanded on. "
I am looking forward to a resolution to this.
Have a blessed day.
+1 - well said Sir or Madam

I guess the rug was really pulled out from the fans in DA2 when they couldn't import their Grey Warden hero from DA and DA:Awakenings. Instead we get Hawke who may as well have been a silent protaganist.

Hey, guys, maybe we don't need to flood them now with tons of letters, but instead compose a collective letter signed by everyone willing, stating that we want new endings, not a clarification to the old ones?
I'd be up for this idea, it would really show them how many of us there are and maybe they'll see the the "few players" or "Minority" is far larger than they originally thought.

Constructive / Deconstructive criticism are grouping terms. Constructive criticism being where you actually tell the artist what you don't like and why, and deconstructive criticism being "This is bad! You are bad! You could not suck more if you tried!" without ever actually addressing why the material is offensive.
I think the Gamestation Podcast did the best job of constructive criticism to date, claiming that Bioware games are based on the characters in it and not the character we all play, Shepard. You can't just show us what happened to Shepard and assume we'll be happy, because the characters we're emotionally invested in are the teammates. Other than Freddie Prinz, who thought Vega would be a good addition to the cast? >.>
We spent the entire series growing to care about Tali, Garrus, Liara. The internets cried out in sorrow when Thane went down, and shouted in glee when Grunt survived. We wept when Mordin started singing during his sacrifice. Now, if they'd all died one by one we wouldn't be asking "what happened next?", but they're alive and we want to know.
