You know. It occurs to me that I've probably spent more time on this forum than I did playing the game.

That is not a good thing.

Well I don't know, insteadof bittersweet, were just bitter. Always best not to combine too many flavours ;)

Too many flavours? :o I was sure we just got strawberry, blueberry and pear flavors!

 Important to mention, even though I have been frustrated, it's been alot of fun to be on the forums since everyone is working hard to keep up peoples spirits.

Our weapon is humor and numbers!

Hold the line!

Bioware is already aware of our issues with the endgame. I don't think we need to keep spelling it out for them. I sent them a polite 4 page letter on the subject. It is NOT our job to rewrite it for them. They are professional writers, so they are well aware of the plot holes and problems. If I were a betting man I'd say that the ending was rushed and they put out a product that they were not entirely satisfied with. They will never admit this of course. They know exactly what the problems are.

Read through the statement this morning. Right now I'm being cautiously optimistic; very cautious in fact. These are baby steps as I see it, but I think we still have a long way to go; luckily even as the PR damage control dance goes on, I still see more and more people making their way up to the line (the FB page is almost at 50k likes!) We just need to dig in and be resilient, and keep on discussing all of this like mature, intelligent adults.

Hold the Line

Hey! Everyone! Could I have everyone go over to the official suggestions thread and post a comment making it clear that explaining the endings isn't good enough - we want them changed? Thanks, folks.

Self-bump. This is important, folks!

Yes sir!

Exactly the cant explain Spacemagic!
This plothole cant even be fixed even if the put the whole citadel in them.
The math thread about joker getting away should prove that.

And yet they have no intention of re-writing it, despite the fact that the star child is the most universally hated character in the entire franchise of Mass Effect.

It is a resource allocation issue- they are going to send their writers on ME3 to create some fetch quests in SWTOR.

I agree with you , I don't like this statement at  and its start but most certainly not an ends at all...

Hold the line folks and keep hammering the point home.

My response to our beloved Dr. :

Artistic?! Oh for gods sake...
How often do we have to explain that your ending is
in no way artistic? It has plotholes bigger then all reapers
in a line. Its a copy paste from the original DX.
It makes absolutley no sense... i could go on for like
twenty hours in explaining why your ending is poor writing
and thinking and not "artistic" in any way.

You thought hard? It seems to the !MAJORITY! that
the team didnt thought hard enough! I dont want to insult you or
the team who are behind this great game, but please
i still dont understand how a company with so much expierence
as Bioware didnt test the ending on at least decent test audience
with some fans.

Stop talking about us as the minority. Get over yourself Bio.
Please do it. We cant stand it anymore. All these lies all these
false promises be at least honest with yourself if you are not with
us. We understand that you put great effort into this game.
We understand that it hurts to see such a devastating feedback
to the game end. So to make this perfectly clear:

1. We dont want the ending to be explained!
They can not be explained. You really try to make us angry with this?
(And no Spacemagic is not an explanation!)

2. We want other endings! Eather grab the whole scene after the beam and
throw it out of the window or use something like the Indo therory (I speak
of the majority (look at the pools (we are not this "vocal" "small" amout of
"some loyal fans")

3. If you make a ending give us at least one really hard (and
with hard i mean something like: At least 7000 comandations,
right choices through all 3 games, and the whole galaxy united for an example)
achivable good ending.

4. Show us what you are working on! Not to statisfy our curiosity but to prevend
yourself from achieving an other devasting outcome of your efforts.

5. You can point at the critics. But they dont buy your games
we buy your games. So realise whats really going on here and
stop pretending that everything is fine with the majority of the gamers.
Its not!

I am sorry if my post was in any way ofensive that is not intended.
The only point i try to make here is that Bioware has to get over
his pride (we know its hard).

Agreed, we need to unify our message. More important, we need to hit them on the big issues, BioWare promised us a lot of things but a happy ending was never one of them. This is not saying people are wrong to want a happy ending, however happy/sad/bittersweet are entirely subjective concepts and, as such, should not be central to our arguments. As an opinion, it's easy to dismiss -- please note, this is the ONLY one of our complaints they address time after time, saying it was never intended that way.

If we really want to turn up the heat, we must focus on the things they REFUSE to talk about, the most prominent of these being that our choices don't impact the ending. Sure, they can cite their opinions on other topics, but we have PROOF they didn't deliver on these fronts, that's why they ignore them time and again. If you really want to strengthen our position, and take an irrefutable stand in the media, we need to concentrate on this. If we do so, they've got no leg to stand on.

Hi folks. Would you be kind enough to vote in this poll?

Given Dr. Muzyka's recent statement (http://blog.bioware....012/03/21/4108/), I feel the need to get the
pulse of Mass Effect 3 players. In the statement, it appears that Bioware may be considering "explaining" the current endings rather than replacing them. I'd like to know if we find that acceptable. To that end, I've created this poll. Please read Dr. Muzyka's statement, then vote. Thank you!

http://social.biowar...55/polls/30216/

Also, DJBare, could you add this poll to your list? Thanks!

If you want to get mad at Bioware for draining resources for multiplayer, you should actually be irritated at them draining resources SWTOR- a massively expensive and resource-heavy project, requiring dozens of writers and hundreds of programmers. This drain probably not only affected ME3 but also the development of DA2
