Ouch. I guess they started to point fingers at each other.

It's uncalled for. But, nevertheless, if we can see past it, it shows just how bad the endings were.

I wouldn't take a statement purported to be from one of the team members as an actual communication from a team member. You could probably find 0/10 Metacritic user reviews from "Patrick Weekes", and I'd bet you any amount of money they were not written by BioWare's Patrick Weekes.

Secondly, we know the character writers delivered. They delivered throughout the game. The people who did all that could not have been responsible for the contrivance at the end.

It boggles the mind that anybody thought this was a good idea and that nobody had the power to stop it, if it's true.

Yes. Like I said. If it is real, it's not a good thing. The writer should not do it. But, since it's done, we can comment on it. But I didn't see the original post. Didn't know it wasn't really from him. I still can get fooled by internet hoaxes. :)

Wow... Just... Wow... No wonder really we got what we got. That's really very, very sad, for everyone involved. This really needs to be sorted, now.

Whoa. Was this for real? When I first saw the ending the first thought that came to mind, and one that I posted here and on Gamefaqs, is that it read like no one sat down and workshopped that ending, and if this is for real then it absolutely backs that claim up! Nice find!

I recommend that no one takes this for real, it's very dangerous to continue without any confirmation, if someone can get this confirmed I will happily add the link to the list, until then that's just joe blogs posting.

There is alot of opinions, information, disinformation, empty pr talk and trolling going on. Take everything with a pinch...actually a mountain of salt.

"... The passionate reaction of some of our most loyal players to the current ending in Mass Effect 3 is something that has genuinely surprised us."

Me too, actually, but in a good way. Who would've guessed that the endings, as terrible as they are, would spark some of the most relevant discussions on consumer rights, the nature of art, and the future of video games? And raise the 75+ K for charity? Even if the endings remain as they are, some good have come of them. Now, if they change the endings, THAT would be a major victory for everyone on all fronts...

Hold the line, people. I have no doubt that we're doing good work here. :)

Just've read http://blog.bioware....012/03/21/4108/

On one hand, some of our loyal fans are passionately expressing their displeasure about how their game concluded; we care about this feedback, and we’re planning to directly address it. However, most folks appear to agree that the game as a whole is exceptional, with more than 75 critics giving it a perfect review score and a review average in the mid-90s. Net, I’m proud of the
team, but we can and must always strive to do better.

So, it's "some" again? He should ve said "few". No, "a couple": "a couple of our fans are displeased". That's a confirmed kill of EA/Bioware brand for me. This... human really IS PROUD of what he had done. He thinks about averages. Like, if you have a bottle of whisky with a piece of rat poo floating in it - that's O-freaking-K, because it's still 95% of whisky there, right? What should we do for them to acknowledge their mistake? Mass Refund?

You're right, however; you have to admit--after comparing the rest of the game with the ending--that's there's a high degree of probablity that it might be true.

We should ask Weekes for confirmation on Twitter. He'll probably ignore it, but it's worth a shot.

CLOSURE!? Why the hell does this keep comming up in (official) reply to our critique of the poorly done ending(s)? Closure I got in spades on the earth mission when I got to speak with all my team and former team. I got closure by dealing with the elusive man, one way or the other. I got plenty of closure from Admiral Anderson dying at my side.

It wasn't closure that was lacking it was the WTF!? I just destroyed the one thing (mass relay network) that every fleet I have spent in game play working on to recruit needs to return home. Hey Tali remember that house on the home world that you can now build, SOL.

Hey Quarians, Turians, etc. in general, I hope you don't mind being stuck in the Sol system. I'm sure nothing bad will come of that like starvation
.
God is a child? Realy did you think that up yourselves?? Hey, how about next time god is insane! That would be so artsy-tistic. Just like Gene Rodenbury's 1966 Star Trek.

I don't need closure, I need sense.

hello my friends in this war. Any news except that "statement" from Ray?

Am I the only one or do someone else think this fight is meaningless? BW gives a **** about us, and that makes me sad... First DA2 now ME3... I wonder what will come next? Jade Empire? Baldurs Gate 3?
The willing to fight is here, but at the moment it all seems so worthless.

Wow, I think Shepard felt the same way in LotSB ^^

I was talking about ME3 with a friend who didn't finish it yet. We were discussing all the different outcomes of our decisions and... I came to a conclusion.

I think we need to praise the game more.

I know it sounds insane but I believe it would help our protest a lot. We have to make everyone understand we adored the game, except the ending. We have to praise everything good about it, otherwise we risk giving out the impression of being blind...

Now back to more important topics >.< sorry!

Keep it civil and hold the line... for as long as it takes!

Promoted to N7.  Same class as James Vega, provided Bioware makes it possible to complete the training.

For my Technical writing/communications course, we have to do a presentation on ethics. Well lucky for me, the other group members that I was assigned with are all mass effect fans! and guess what....they all think they endings are a load of bollocks. This will make for an interesting/fun presentation

WARNING: OPINIONATED ^_^

If that's true, my faith in Patrick is intact and he has my sincerest sympathies for what the end must have put him through. I think it's clear it was Casey's idea from the "MUCH SPECULATION FOR EVERYONE" side of things though.

In fact, even if it's not true, the abomination we're left with is Casey's idea no matter what way you look at it. Not trying to be rude or uncivil, that's just a cold hard fact.

As it stands, I'm pleased by the way things are going so far. Still holding the line for as long as it takes, but it certainly feels like we are having an impact.

My personal stance on the ending:

I want them to use the indoctrination theory to offer an alternative, or offer a few more options if the conversation with godchild has to stay. I don't see them completely rewriting what's already there, and quite frankly I don't think that's the best way to approach it.

From "the Doctor"'s last statement, it sounded like they're adding additional scenes following the endings we currently have, and although the main priority is closure for our characters, we really need to press the point that what we want to see is that our choices matter, and not to be left with the current total mess.

^this! The endings were terrible and they NEED TO STOP saying art...it's art if the public says it's art and the ending was far from that. The ending would have Vincent Van Gogh question himself even more about being an artist; if he had seen it. <_< Art is a perspective given by the public eye...

You should ask him to record it via webcam so we can all watch it. :) Would be a great way to get your project some extra facetime and extra input from the interwebs.

Plus, I'd love to see how your group tackles it.
