Honestly, sometimes I think I should've just killed my Shepard in ME2. A far more epic death at the Collectors Base. <_<

Very good point.

Let´s not forget that one of the biggest plot holes of ME3 concerns that base. Even after kicking the human reaper's ass, and than destroying the base, TIM gets the most important things out of it. If it wasn't going to make a whole lotta difference in keeping it or destroying it, why do that?

Not to mention that if you play the "Arrival" DLC before the end of ME2 it's just stupid to go after Collector's after you know the Reapers are arriving. That DLC should only be unlockable after the end of ME2. It's like I play it, at least. Otherwise it takes the weight of the original ending of the game.

Just so you guys are aware, my Twitter account will no longer be a place to discuss BioWare (at least for now). If you're following me there and that's the only reason, I suggest unfollowing me.

I will also be changing my interactions with fans on the BSN to a role that is more moderation focused and less engagement focused. Thanks to those of you who have provided wonderful conversations.

Lastly, despite what someone indicated on an earlier page, I am not a salaried employee. I am paid hourly. It's a good job, but I'm not being paid to engage with the community at 3AM. I did it because I thought it was helpful. I'm sorry that it wasn't."

Sooo.. Jessica Merizan isn't allowed to hold dialogue with us on the subject of Bioware and Mass Effect anymore. Make of that what you will.

I dont fully understand her statement. Does she say, that engaging with us was fun, but pointless because she cant make a difference at the Bioware office?

well, i do not use twitter at all but i expect she got a lot of flak for something she was not really involved in and even if she had been a salaried employee could not affect. Sorry to say that will always happen as some people really are raging, whining and socially inept.

Those kind of people are unfourtanetly those that are remembered, even if most are civil and respectfull in their complaints.

That's disappointing.. I really hope she didn't get in trouble.  I wonder if EA sent over stormtroopers to Bioware yesterday or something... Seems to be a lot more imperial orders going around today lol

If you guys did she would have been fired. The fact that all she was reprimanded on was discussing ME she got of lucky as snot. Most companies do not want any employee talking or discussing products with customers outside of controlable means.

Anyone else think this is a bad idea? Jessica has actually been the best recieved asset Bioware had engaging the fans. She honestly cared in my opinion.

Colin Moriarty is giving me a headache.

Normally I don't latch on to stuff like this but:

1. As it seems the whole IGN Editorial cannot interpret Dr. Muzyka's Statement correctly

2. In a Video regarding this "Decision" Mr. Moriarty is asked why Bioware shouldn't do 50+ Endings and he says that they this is not an option or  else you would have players that can get an ending leaving room for a potential Sequel and some that don't. (Paraphrased)

To that I can only say that Bioware already created the exact same Situation with the Suicide Ending and it's wildly differing finality. Why was he not complaining at that point? This is disregarding the fact that are examples of concluded Stories that don't need to blow up their Universe and still feel fulfilling. (The Lord of the Rings comes to Mind. The Setting is still there for potential Sequels, but the Journey of Frodo and the Fellowship came to a near complete Closure.)

IGN can't tie their own shoes correctly, let alone have a true intelligent debate about the endings.

Whatever else you may think of her, you have to admit that she has performed far above and beyond the call of duty. She was quite literally thrown into the front lines of a major 'fight' with little or no warning, and has worked hard to keep the situation from spiralling totally out of control. She has been polite and good natured throughout this, even when she's been called in to deal with some emergency at 3am, and respectful. She's also given her opinions in a logical and reasonable way, while not dismissing counter-claims or dismissing others point of view.

Now I may not agree with her point of view, and her inability to give straight answers to many questions (as in she has to pick her words very carefully so as not to say anything that would make things worse) has been frustrating. But I do think she's earned a rest from the front lines, and quite possibly a promotion and raise as well.

She was the community director.. that was her job to talk and engage the community.  The fact she did it at 3AM bothers me solely because it means she was working too hard... I really hope Bioware doesn't take this as an excuse to lock down and go full EA on the community control.  The only reason I've put up with this as long as I did and NOT just gave up on Bioware/EA out of the gate was because of the amazing patience and excellent community staff they had engaging us..

I really wonder if we need to have another letter writing campaign to Bioware.... thank them for Jessica, remind them that the engagement is part of why half of us didn't just return our games and give up on Bioware, and it humanized the company more, so we didn't just say they'd sold their souls to EA and were beyond hope and redemption.

As for the freedom to craft a story how they see fit-- Bioware has every right to craft the story how they want. They could have easily just said no. They would have just lost a ton of customers in the process. Something the "art" supporters need to understand is that no matter what you call it, it's still a product that had certain promises behind it that weren't delivered on. Art or not, our money is what keeps them able to craft these games. We have just as much at
 Invested as they do.

This needs to be repeated. Bioware has the right to do whatever they want in the plot department. But if they want to sell games people will buy, they need to listen to their fans. That isn't trampling a right, that's existing in the real world of capitalism.

I can't understand why people don't get that.

It's like watching Strictly Come Dancing on the BBC...the judges get all shirty when the general public vote for the ones that entertain them, either because they are really bad but funny or just have a nice personality. Seems to confuse the judges why it happens every time as well...
