We're making baby-steps, maybe, but maybe we get an outcome with this movement like a befitting ending would have, where many of the little choices along the way matter.

oddly, even after three weeks of us sitting here discussing the endings and our thoughts about them, i'm not seeing any change in the basic address that comes from bioware. its still very much " Hey kids, get out your magic decoder rings and stay tuned, we got a heck of a year coming for you and your gonna want to see this" type stuff..
Please Bioware, quit talking down to us. that language aint gonna cut it any more.

I'm honestly not offended that they don't come out and say yeah, we don't like the endings either. I would love to work for one of the companies famous for making RPGs and for years I wished i could write story for their games. If I had a good job with a company I liked, I'm quite sure I'd have to be extremely careful about what I said. Otherwise my job would likely be at stake and I wouldn't do a thing to jeopardize my job even if I agreed or disagreed with fans.

I fully support our movement and goal. I find it difficult to cast blame or even think badly of a single BW/ EA employee because it's not the fault of one individual. I don't claim to be an expert at running a company but it's just logical that it was a chain of decisions by more than one person that led to this.

I'm not saying that a company as a whole shouldn't reap the rewards or face the consequences of their decisions. The fallout will be what it will be. I hope we can bring about change and I am proud to be a part of this movement. This statement isn't directed towards anyone in particular, it's more of a general response to some posts and also people's reactions to "personal attacks" etc.

I think "amazing" by BW standards means they plan to dip into the full, extra-large 120 color size box of Crayola colors for the next thing they dish out instead of just the 3 most popular colors from the 8 crayon set.

Just a guess anyway.  We might only get the 32 or 64 color box variety I suppose. 

Does that include purple? Because if it doesn't, I'll have to protest again. I mean, come on! They all know a lot of us like purple...

I predict a change in tone on 1 April - the fiscal year for EA ends on 31 March.

My thoughts exactly. If they have something then they should discuss it in the Forum. So they would be sure that everyone could live with there outcome bevor anything is done in the art department

Right guys and gals - if you didn't read my break down in the PR sub about CEO's letter I'll sum it up.

We've hurt them enough for EA to pull in one of their VP's and the CEO of BW and say; income streams have been hurt - this needs to be fixed now......

CEO's letter - its full of PR stuff - but shows we're getting to them big time.....


So again; do not let up the pressure - that's the last thing we want or need - Keep things Respectful - Civil - Keep posting - keep writing and tweeting. Also post in the suggestions forums - they have asked for it.......so lets meet them there - be respectful. Treat them the way you want to be treated.

If you become angry or unrulely - they can easily just blow us off..........

Keep that passion going; but use it contructively .......

What was really poor about the ending is in the arrival dlc it showed the destroying a mass relay destroys the star cluster so how come that didn't happen in mass effect 3. Also with the giant army you made being trapped on a beat up earth everyone would die from starvation. I mean no food for a possible 12 billion plus armada. Sure the reapers are dead but everyone else should technically be dead to it's just not thought out very well

I have yet to see one person who enjoyed the ending counter answer why we didn't like it. From the potholes to out of character actions, to decisions that you'd think would play a huge important, crucial part in the third and final arc. No one cares or wants to take those things into account. It's always  "We are acting entitled" " it's art" or "you don't get what was going on" 

Well I have a question to those who say this: Do you? 

Or is it that you just didn't pay attention to the overall story and decided "meh  good enough for me, this story is epic". 


 How can you not see that these characters are doing things that are out of character?


How can you not question the fact that all the things you accomplished mean squat when the pressure is on and things are looking grim?


Why do you not see that just because you think something is conclusive and resolves some things or maybe you think it solved everything That other people will think the same?Also how are you not acting "entitled", when you feel as though what you got is fine and that everyone else who has VALID complaints aren't allowed to voice them and say this isn't right? Are you kidding me?

So as long as you get what you want out of it you're well within your right to criticize those who didn't?.. I see.

I sure that throne of feeling smart that you "get the artsy ending" is all comfortable and all, but you need to realize at the end of the day it isn't just about you. Other people see things differently and with that in mind their opinions will differ as well.

Look at a coin. There are two sides to it. One differ from the other. Mass Effect 3 has two sides as well those who expected it to go diffrently or they why Bioware said it would actually go and  that want to see  it gets to do exactly that.  And those who are fine with what they have and see no reason for change.


Keep in mind though at least those who voice their opinions  on the things wrong can back them up without resorting to name calling or having some holier or high and mighty attitude about it.


Someone needs to be de mounted from their high horse.

By aprilo first they will have noticed a drop in sales and the corresponding drop in income. Origin has alrady started bolstering that by putting out email fliers covering everything from Gotham City Imposters to Shogun 2. Apparently EA itself is hoping to save their own assets now..

It's easy to become tired and tempted to give up.

Do remember that you do not have to spend hours reading links and posting in the thread to keep the movement strong. Take a break, play another game watch a movie, etc. I personally check in about twice a day and some days I'll spend hours reading and posting but other days I'll take a quick look and go back to the world.

It's easy to get frustrated with the bad PR or the lackluster responses etc. Change like what we want does not come easy. When helping to Hold the Line, pace yourself.

I love his voice. I was sad that they seemed to drop the ball with his romance in 3 but he had (imo) one of the most poignant deaths. I still tear up about it. I was a little miffed that Kolyat seemed to think I'd forgotten about him. Even though Thane wasn't a part of the endings and I could flashback to him or anything, he was one of the most memorable characters to me.
