^ Check that thread out. It's an amazing response to this whole "artistic integrity" issue that's arisen from the BioWare PR post.

I don't know, but even if you don't like his exact ideas, it's so obvious that he "gets it" better than even the people at EA/BW seem to.

Absolutely. Though the 2nd installment is somewhat unfocused.

Extremely imaginative take on Cerberus!

Didn't quite like his idea for the ending -loved the Crucible being a trap idea; the rest was a lil eh. His Harbinger boss idea needed some more refinement, but it sounded a lot like the Archdemon fight, just without the infinitely respawning Darkspawn and that boss was fun. Personally didn't like the party idea, but that's because I imagined a cutscene showing Harby dying with most of the major players in the series fighting Reaper ground forces together (with some dying if a certain char wasn't alive to help them out) followed by a tearful scene with your LI and BFF (if alive, if not then random living squaddies) finding and mistaking you for dead in rubble after the boss fight, then showing you lived and all the immediate damage on the ground and in space. After that though, that guy nails it! And yeah, very imaginative take on Cerberus.

Schadenfreude is one reason.

Passionate comments from 'aspiring game designers' are probably made on twitter in order to 'get noticed' by someone from BioWare.

Other people think that to be free, is to have the liberty to do anything, as long as you can get away with it; so they probably think of us as people who hate freedom, and ...you see what I'm hinting at, right? I mean, that IGN guy's twitter alias is: 'no taxation'.

Up until I beat the game I was one of those aspiring game designers trying to get noticed by Bioware... well aspiring game artist... but when I experienced that ending I tossed all those aspiritions out the window. Maybe since I'm not an actual "designer" I don't get it or maybe I just have better morals than those people.

As someone's already mentioned, the entire poll is horribly worded. You can't vote yes without painting yourself with their idea of whining and entitlement.

Option A: I want new endings to Mass Effect, and I also like to eat babies

Option B: Boy, just give it to them to shut them up

Option C: No, I will stand by my highly ethical principles and troll the heck out of those losers

Make it 'stupid space child ghosts', and it would be pretty accurate.

Vote here soldiers.
We are losing on this front.

The last option ''Absolutely not, it's their story, and they decide how it ends '' Absolutely denies the very essence of Mass Effect, that WE ARE OUR OWN story, we make OUR choices and OUR actions.

And since it's frontpage poll, many of the people answering have not necessarily played even 10 minutes of Mass Effect, much less whole three games + the ending. If I had no idea what the ending was, I'd probably vote for AI.<_<

Oh, and good morning from Finland.

Dude! I'm half ginger too! -fistbump-
I'd be all ginger if my hair was red (tis brown) but alas I'm stuck with the friggin pale freckled skin pigment that burns within 5 seconds of being in the sun...

Fistbump is indeed in order, although I must warn you that I am the other kind of half-ginger - my skin is pretty "medium" (though I'd rather feel a nice nordic breeze against my cheeks rather than Harbinger-class sunrays), the gingerism is hidden in my hair. It's basically brown for 3 months in the year and red in the rest. Can't explain that. Space Magic.

Their PR did good by going the artistic integrity BS route, completely negating the lies they told us pre release.

I follow a simple philosophy, "if i don't know what i'm talking about or don't understand the subject i keep my mouth shut"
This is why i hate when people who haven't even played a game(or in this case saw the ending) say its bad or good.

I guess philistines like us aren't aware of the fact that it's perfectly legitimate, to take artistic liberties with, you know, the truth.

New poll:

it's deliberately crippled. We're trying to put all our strength on the first option.

Feel like jumping in here on the whole ginger thing, I am technically half-ginger too My dad is ginger, my mum is dark brown lol. Also when my hair is it's natural colour it looks really ginger in the sun, I burn and never tan but don't have lots of freckles.

Anyway back on topic.....and I have nothing so sorry for the off topic post people.

I thought the same thing, it's a loaded poll or just badly crafted.  The prime selling point of this series, and this release in particular, was hearing over and over again: your choices, your story, your character.  Bioware was bragging up and down the joint about what a "collaborative process with the fans" this is.

I believe they were sincere when they said it, but it's been tested since we shocked them by not liking their on-rails ending and asking... where's all that stuff you talked about?  And since them, it's been Artistic Vision.  No more cuddly Collaborative Effort talk.

I still hope it's just shock, and that it wears off soon.

Sigh... I'm trying really hard to replay ME3 to see if I over reacted.

I have to stop playing everytime they mention the end of the war, which is a lot.

"Primarch Vakarius"

and "Wait till the end of this war" when discussing a statue in the Citadel of the Krogan.

It's like bombs being dropped all over the dialogue that have the joker laugh "HAHA!"
