So we can't get the ending we want after all?

I wasn't arguing about your interpretation of Picasso, though with him, it is mostly human/live subjects, deformed through geometry. I always felt there was still a person behind all the squares and colors.
Dali's work, to me, spit in the face of logic and reasoning, leaving the understanding of the "original" subject to your imagination. But art is always subject to individual interpretation; it's not like i have a degree in it or something.
I'll still say though, everyone should take a look at a Scott Shaw movie. Unwatchable, but hilarious in their ways.
So yeah, back to ME3 endings...
EDIT: Sorry about the quote pyramid, Sean.
Haha, back to ME3 endings...
I personally am not into art at all, so...when they say "the ending is an art", I feel like throwing my computer out of the window.
This is a video game, and we just want what we were promised. I don't care if it's art; if it doesn't have what it was promised to have then it isn't good.

Make sure you cast a vote at this poll: http://www.gamefaqs.com/
Is it sad that I am enjoying watching that poll move?
Only if it's sad that I keep checking to see if our numbers are going up faster than the no's.

Hm a good point.
I wouldn't have mind it being art if they gave what they promoted, some closure, etc. In fact, i probably would've praised it beyond my grave: a good mix of art and complexity with the promises they gave would've made it, i think, perfect.

Couldn't agree more. While I can see how the game can be viewed as art, the producers made many promises to their customers. It would be like an artist promising he'll paint a mural on a wall with cats and dogs playing poker, but instead paints a horse taking a huge crap. While the latter is clearly art, I'd imagine quite a pew people may have a problem with the finished product.

Yeah, I am into art to an extent. I do like philosophical ideas and things that will make me think, but I found the topics broached in Mass Effect to be... trite in a way. Hobbes originally broached a good bit of this topic way back when and a lot of anime's have touched it since(most notably Ghost in the Shell). So when people try to talk about this being so unique, I just shrug and say "Eh? There's lot of plotholes though." Frankly, I would rather have a video game as well, not a philosophical message.
P.S. Tami, still haven't heard back from my friend. Another friend of mine however said they found at least one heavy weapon in that area with all the Banshee's at the end.

Yep. And that's the point that Bioware is missing. We only want changes because nothing we were promised was in the ending. Plotholes, same endings (slightly different), no choices...that goes against everything we were promised.

I know. I don't play video games to make me frustrated over the ending; I play it so I can shoot at things, relieve my stress and be happy.
P.S. aww. Then I think I need to replay it and try to find it...only in May

Exactly. I want them to do it right before we get any mission-based or multiplayer DLC.

Haha, I would laugh if they gave us Omega DLC first. Imagine taking it back with Aria only to have her stranded there because the mass relays would be destroyed.

I don't want to see ANYTHING unless they first adress the open lies that they told us pre-release AND make up for it.
Before I see ANY of that they can stuff their DLCs.

Flower = ART
Journey = ART (BTW play it - it's awesome)
Mass Effect isn't, though some elements may be considered as such(graphics, music etc)

Maybe before we saysomething about "art" we should say something about "virtues" - truthfullness, keeping up promises, honesty, humility...
I wonder why art - which we sponsor - must be better than virtues.

I don't think they would do that...they would just lose money. And make fans- I meant "vocal minority" angrier.

Exactly. I mean, I don't necessarily get frustrated by the ending persay, I just seriously dislike the dramatic change of pace, message and gameplay. Not to mention the plot holes.. arg(Okay, the plotholes cause frustration)! I played far more Multiplayer than I did single with ME3, well until i beat the game anyway. I found it quite entertaining to just kill waves of the sucker and laugh with my friends as we killed 'em. I also play games to relax, not to find a deeper meaning. If I want to find a deeper meaning I'll read Siddhartha.
P.S. Amen to that, I'm not in school at the moment but I know the pain. I'm going to have to check too. Oh, my friend that confirmed the heavy weapons was playing on Normal.
