lol now that would be an ending I would love to see.Demonburnt wrote...
I would totally be content if the ending was extended just by having a magical unicorn on a tricycle came in slap the kid, rez Sheppard, followed by a ceremony of your whole crew (what ever is left) in a pub drinking.
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Never buying a Bioware product again.
This for me is a bit bittersweet(hah, ironic) because I would, on principle, have to do the same. I would also have to unsub from TOR. That would be the hardest thing. I don't really want to, I have friends that play it. On my personal principles though, I wouldn't be able to abide by their business practices and would have to swear them off(possibly EA as well). Of course, with how bad of a taste it has left in my mouth, I'm not even really sure if I want to play video games much anymore. Bit ironic really.

Nothing is confirmed. But the more sites and mass media talk about the better chance for new endings.

With what i've seen of Bioware lately, i wouldn't be surprised if they used a cheap cop out, like Shepard just saying " You guys need to go, i'll do it myself" at the last moment...
And they don't need to explain EVERYTHING. I'm sure they think it's fine that TIM just appears, and it makes sense that Anderson gets beamed somewhere else.
I mean, they apparently don't want to change it, so they'll just... explain it. In the same way they made the ending we have, i suppose.
One thing's for sure, we'll always have some good ol' Space Magicinvolved.
Now why won't they change it? One word: pride.

Is it sad that I am enjoying watching that poll move?
Only if it's sad that I keep checking to see if our numbers are going up faster than the no's.
I suspect forgery or botting in that poll. Or ignorance and trolling.

For traumatized ME players in the future.
I don't know if any of you is familiar with Visual Novel concept.
We could make a Visual Novel that would ask about players choices, and alter the script so it would fit this particular Shepard.
If we knew how Save Files are built we could even get those direcly from them (PC version only though)

Wait. Does that mean I have(should) to stop playing The Sims?
Noooo! What have you done with my life, ME3?
I would never be able to play any Bioware game without remembering how bad ME3 ending was. I can't play DA:O because whenever I get to the ending, all I can think is how they could make such an amazing ending for DA:O and then mess up ME3 ending.

They don't understand the fact that even if any art is IP, it doesn't mean that any IP is art by default.

Sure, there might be some of it, but it's mainly because all of their DLC is already far in progress, while it would be a development hell to start a completely new DLC for new endings since they didn't have plans for that.
I mean, they would need to start a new planning group, while the rest is already in the programming stage. It's the kind of things that tend to inflate the cost of production, and EA/Bioware don't like that at all.

"There's been a lot of news that Bioware may very well be making a new ending (or expanding the current). But we are far from finished. Even if they do it, it doesn't mean that it will be good.
They could slap together a 5 minute epilogue, and say "Here you go, now shut up".
Until we get an ending worthy of Mass Effect we will Hold The Line!"

Well, I would never force anyone to stick to the same mentality I have. I wouldn't really want people to unless it's part of who they are as a person. Hell, I would encourage people to keep playing other BioWare games they enjoy, including TOR. Just my personal convictions would force me to stop playing them.

It reeks of a fixed poll, for why would all those who disagree with us suddenly vote on Gamefaqs and not on other polls? It matters not - vote for Shepard!

You know -- the more I think about it, the more I feel frustrated with the current endings. A lot of people, much more eloquent, and witty than myself, have pointed out plenty of valid, solid reasons as to why. But that doesn't take the sting out of it when I watch something on Youtube and find a ME3 ad pop up before the video.
I see all of these great scenes, these wonderfully crafted, intensive, emotive moments and I remember just how *fun* and *engaging* this series is. Only to remember the exact opposite feelings; the rubberband of emotions as I snap back to the frustration and confusion that marked the endings.
I haven't played the game since I beat it. Every time I think about starting up with ME1 again I lose all drive to finish the entire saga. The endings ruin it.
And my god am I getting sick of all the PR double-talk. I hate having to analyze everything one of Biowares reps says, and the subsequent Vizzini/iocane scene that plays out in my head of, "is this double-talk? do they know I'll think this is double-talk and they're actually playing me into over scrutinizing what they say?"
All frustrations and venting aside, I am damn proud of this movement and what it has accomplished. Regardless of whether we achieve our goals or not, the people in this thread have been nothing but intelligent, well-mannered, and sharp as rapiers. The charity drive has garnered thousands of dollars, and still grows daily. It's a wonderful thing to watch -- all of this.
Good job guys. I'm proud to count myself among you.

Also, the Princess Bride reference got a good giggle from me, so thank you for that. That's the feeling I get from the PR spinning. Not to mention the Catalyst, as well. What kind of cyclical logic is that?

Spending my time here instead of finishing all my other Shep playthrough, for being here is, in the end, worth much more.

you need to pick :
"Super, jetzt bekomme ich, was ich will." (nice, now ill get what i want), or
"Ja, denn BioWare ist auf seine Fans angewiesen." (yes, cause bioware depends on their fans)
if you want the ending to be changed!
