So the endings are being extended from what i hear?

Also why are there so many people pissed off about it being extended?

Most likely because of this?

Honestly, my understanding of what he said isn't exactly "extending" or changing. It's more like "we'll release content that justifies the crap already in-game that is the ending."

And "deal with it"  <_<

I can deal with not buying anything from Bioware ever again.  It's actually better for my wallet.  :innocent:

if you want to vote in a german magazine poll,

http://www.gamestar....=13573&status=1

you need to pick :

"Super, jetzt bekomme ich, was ich will." (nice, now ill get what i want), or

"Ja, denn BioWare ist auf seine Fans angewiesen." (yes, cause bioware depends on their fans)

if you want the ending to be changed!

Which red button do I click to conferm?

I've been waiting for this game for years... was ridiculously excited to play it...

And now I spend more time on this forum reading about how screwed up the ending is.

*sigh* Holding the Line with a heavy heart tonight.

You ain't the only one. I'd say it's the same for me, and probably many others here...

Spending my time here instead of finishing all my other Shep playthrough, for being here is, in the end, worth much more.

I actually find myself doing completely different activities these days. I find myself working on my arrows or shooting my bow before I even bother thinking about playing a video game. It's so odd. It's as if ME3 left such a bad taste in my mouth that my overall desire to play games is nil.

If they really don't fix their mistakes in the ending then this will also happen with me.
I invested too much time, too much emotional efforts and money in Mass Effect. I don't want to pass to all this again with another game.

Until then i will keep holding the line.

It reeks of a fixed poll, for why would all those who disagree with us suddenly vote on Gamefaqs and not on other polls? It matters not - vote for Shepard!

Hold the line!

Exactly my thought. Hold the line people!

Managed to log in to an old GameFAQs account and wanted to make a topic regarding the wording of the poll, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to post a new topic, bargh.

Welcome new people, and sorry for your pain. :(

I would honestly want Liara to abandon my Shep just to save herself. Garrus however would go down swinging beside me.

There is a point, Garrus...everyone remember the scene on the Citadel where he pretty much says that he and the character will go down fighting together, while they are shooting at some random glasses?
The end even goes against what the characters are saying throughout ME3...seems like they've taken an ending from another game and slapped it onto ME3 and done the "Lets hope they dont notice it doesnt match..." deal.

Lol the ME3 endings are great in the sense that they make you reallize how working hard on games is worthless compared to what you can do when you're not playing, honing your skills and hobbies...

So I'm finding the sudden outcry on these polls strange. Weeks go by with a large portion of the fanbase voting in favor of the changed endings, in polls here and elsewhere, with numbers generally in a large ratio that, on average, sits 10:1.

Now, suddenly out of nowhere, these new polls (like the gamefaqs and Gamestar.de polls), which now bring up the question of artistic integrity, are nearly 1:1 for and against changing the endings.

Did something change the viewpoints of many? Or is this just an issue of timing for when these polls were uploaded?

:P More or less. I mean, if I didn't think it would be fundamentally shooting themselves in the foot, I would wonder if maybe their intent was to drive people away from playing games so much and do something else with their free time. Afterall, life is too short to sit around on forums and play video games. Hell, I'd probably be out camping right now if I had the money and some friends who weren't busy.

Or is there an increasing number of people who haven't played any ME game and just vote out of principle for the artisctic view? Would suck, because they really have no idea how shockingly bad the ending was...

Well, you have to take also into account that gamefaqs for example is open to everyone on site, and as you can see, it in no way asks whether the people aswering have even played ME3. I don't think anyone has changed their viewpoints.

Try going to the homepage: http://www.gamefaqs.com/

The more I think of this whole mess the angrier I am.

Just how Bioware could do something like this? Lying to fans? Releasing incomplete product just to hit the deadline?

And now instead of saying "sorry, s**t happens, we'll make new, additional endings to make everyone happy" they just come up with "art".

I've lost all my joy from playing games and my patience is wearing thin. If they do screw up with this new DLC then I hope we all will give them something to remember for LONG !!!

43%: Nein, denn eine künstlerische Vision darf nicht von außen bestimmt werden. (No, for an artistic vision may not be determined from the outside)

Was zum Teufel: 43%???

Where do these numbers come from? It looks like reasonable and intelligent people have started their own voting campaigns.

Perrrrkele, as my Finnish friends would say.

a rather large part of voters in some polls have not even played ME3, Many have not played ME series at all. They are just jumping on the "shut up whiners" trend.

Dont ask me, but i think the last Poll before that one was 50-50 as well... at least for the first few days, then it was like 75-25, or 80-20 suddenly...

THIS.  There is a WORLD of difference between "we are going to offer different endings" and "we are going to clarify the current ending.".   Great so now we get to see how our love interest was teleported aboard the Normandy.  That's doubling down on failure.   The plot holes were just one of many reasons the endings sucked.  Bioware is doubling down and refusing to admit the ending sucked.   This is going to get worse.
