jup, after the article about mass effect 3 (quote: thats how you end a trilogy, no questions are left open) i decided not to buy the magazine anymore

Now that I think about it, I have no idea what the reviews said here in Finland. We only have like 2 gaming magazines... I probably should try to google the aricles, though they hardly ever cover endings in games.

Econ...PR...making video games...

Maybe we should start making our own video games :crying:

I was once working on a degree for that. Game Design really. No where in there was I taught that what I create is art, infallible, concrete and unchanging. ;)

Seriously though, he's right, everyone tends to have their skillz(notice, I'm being trendy by adding a 'z'!). Sometimes it's all about just picking up a hobby and trying it out. It's actually how I found out that I suck at surfing.

I know it's a bit blasphemous, but maybe we have been putting too much focus on games if it's having us this up in arms. Not that I think what they did is right, or that they should be able to say it's art(I'd disagree almost entirely with that). But really, is this how we want to be spending so much of our time?

Uhm... so we're tieing / losing on both polls?

Pretty much a tie, yes Image IPB Though as I have said gazillion times, I don't believe that many 'no' ´voters have played ME.

Well,
thinking a lot about numbers... 1 million people have bought ME3, we can say that 750K have finished the game or so. 550K out of those 750K sure have an internet connection. out of those 550K near 60K have joined arms here on this forum, however all the others are commenting / posting in other forums, our army isn't really united soldier.... because to be here you need to register your game and have a Origin account right?

Seriously, why would people who liked the ending vote against us having the OPTION of a better one? It makes no sense. Obviously people who don't know the subject and/or rigged polls.

Perhaps this is redundant, but there are these two polls:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/
and
http://www.gamestar....=13573&status=1
The favorable options are: Ja, denn BW ist auf seine Fans angewiesen (yes, because BW is dependent on its fans), and Super, jetzt bekomme ich, was ich will (super, now I'm getting what I want)

Uhm... so we're tieing / losing on both polls?

I wonder how many new registrations those sites had in the last two or three days... Internet magic.

LoL, i hope you know how hard is to make a game.

Hard work is always the must fulfilling one. :P

Working hard for something always make me proud of the result.

Meh, i guess i can understand the pride of the ME3 writers, after that...

Me too, i'm making a web game, isn't hard as something like ME3 however i have pride too about it.

It is not rage. It's just huge letdown. I feel like they just took something important to me without eny reason.

As for me - it's their last chance to make it right.

I'll keep it civil and will hold the line to the very end, even for the principle.

Oh, and thanks for pep talk ;)

:D Fair enough! Hey, gotta say you came off as quite intense. I definitely know how you feel though, as if they stripped away the ending to something that was yours. Yes(for anyone that's trying to use something like this as ammo), I'm sure we can all agree that it's not really ours, but the way BioWare approached this triology it really did feel as if it was. Even though you might have two very similar people playing the game, you would sometimes find yourself making drastically different choices than the other person. It really did feel like, to some extent, our game and noone else's.

Apparently we are falling behind on the FAQ polls...which doesn't seem likely, as every single other poll, including those commonly circulated throughout the forums by both sides, show little to no increase in votes against us...hmm...

I always remember one of my Economics teachers when people talk about this. Great guy, used to say the only reason he taught was because his wife told him "You're driving me crazy being in the house so much! OUT! OUT!" Quite the older guy. Reason I remember it is because of one story he told us though. "The hardest thing I ever did in my life was to court my wife. Never had to work harder for anything else. It was, and still is, worth every second of it... even when she is chasing me out of the house."

Lol everyone has skills, we're all good at what we like to do. If you haven't found it yet, it's maybe because you play alot of video games? :P

Who knows, maybe you're a god of surfing, or crafting, or car racing... It's just an opportunity waiting to be taken!

Haha yeah I have definitely yet to find that something I am good at.

I really hate polls...

You know, you can vote even without reading what the poll is about o_0 i think for forum and site... that is better first explain and than give you the poll <_< not doing so a lot of people who don't know the truth are doing what they think is better for them. <_< (some bot too)

I don't understand it. Do this idi... cough... people really believe that some forged (fixed? don't really know the right word for it) poll will make us say "oh, we forgot faces of our fathers, we cry your pardons" and go buy EA/Bioware next DLC or game title ASAP? No, do they REALLY believe this?

I probably could knock out my psych bachelor's real quick, nearly had one.:P Didn't feel like dual majoring in it though. You are probably right though and I do agree. Any way that I look at this whole movement, I can't help but feel a bit proud of the good we have done and the awareness this has dragged up. It has tossed some serious contrast out about game reviewers  and games from a gamer's viewpoint. Not to mention business practices.

No matter what happens I can say that, while I might've wasted a bit too much time on the forums, it was an interesting ride from a sociological point of view.

*edit* Did some editting because I'm getting sloppy while tired.

Yeah, there is that, isn't there? What is the point of buying SP DLC to expand a campaign that leads to an ending which makes everything you've done in the DLC you paid for pointless? Yep, none whatsoever. And the "buy and play it for the experience" argumentation is fighting for lost turf because the ending's ruined the experience anyway...

And now, for some review going on our side, here's Angry Joe, for those who haven't seen him, with a review JUST about the things we hate in ME3.
