In April Retake Mass Effect 3 movement may face unity issue.

While we are all united about necessity for Bioware to change the endings, many people have different opinions whether hopefully coming DLC is free or we should pay for it.

I fear that Bioware may play with us to crush that unity.

They'll offer us some DLC and vaguely say that it addresses our concerns about total lack of promised endings.

They'll say "it is our response for fanbase protest; buy it for 10$".

Some say "hell with it", some will outright buy DLC.

Bioware might then say that ReME3 is divided, because some of us pay for content, some not.

I fear we have only ONE chance to make it right. If they offer us only some - forgive me saying it - garbage explanation about Godchild and Normandy leaving they will say "we did want You wanted and dealt with the issue, there will no more changes".

What do You think?

I'm a little worried too, but they don't promise DLC yet.
I could pay for this DLC but it should be worth my money.
BTW, nice nick :P

So..... in Japan ME3 (PS3 Version) has only reach Place 20. (8100 and something Copys, March 12-18).

Had this anything to do with us or Japanese Gamers just.... well, diffrent.

It may do but I suspect it is also down to being a western RPG, I may be wrong but I think that most big hitters from our side of things tend to go down like a lead balloon in Japan.

From what people here were saying several pages ago, japanese gamers are calling it Rent Effect...

I honestly don't know what will happen or what I will do when we get answers and DLC or whatever, I will just have to wait and see personally. As for the movement I honestly don't know, I hope that as a whole we don't just accept any old crap they scrounge up for us.

Sorry for the long delay, took me a while to find this...

Colin Moriarty on Infamous 2

"Obviously, the fact that Cole has been reverted back to his old self (somewhat) is great news. After all, Greg and I did our fair share of whining on Podcast Beyond after the new Cole was first shown on the cover of Game Informer some months back. Of course, I'd love for Sucker Punch to bring back Cole's old voice, too, but hey – beggars can't be choosers.

But beyond (BEYOND!) the excitement I feel to have old Cole back in Infamous 2, I think the sudden change in character model says a lot more. Indeed, it says a great deal about Sucker Punch itself. This is a studio that listens to its fans, cares what they want, and attempts to cater to as many of them as possible. There's no doubt that fans of a franchise can't be trusted with every little thing (after all, look at how many people were completely and utterly wrong when they predicted Wind Waker would suck based solely on its graphics – I still laugh at those people today), but it still delivers a rather important point.

But with the new Cole design, Sucker Punch heard loud and clear what fans of Infamous wanted, and they delivered. Infinite amounts of kudos to them for doing right by their community. Fans of Infamous won't soon forget it. Sucker Punch is one of Sony's most valuable developers. They are tuned-in with the PS3 faithful, and it's things like this that prove it."

That's why I'll wait with buying it, if it will be made and if I have to pay for it.

Oh I agree.  April be our own personal crucible (no pun intended, I swear!).  Most of us are standing strong and are putting our foot down, but just as the Dr. M post made a lot of people shout "Victory!" from the rooftops, there will be people who will accept any DLC just so this madness can end.  It's inevitable, unfortunately.  Keeping people invested in our cause and keeping their morale up (kudos to all the parodies, memes and fan videos, by the way) is important.

When April comes around and we see what is planned, we just have to adjust our strategy from there. There is really no way of really knowing right now what's around the corner and keeping our resolve is more crucial than ever.  "Holding the line" is apt for us because this IS going to be a long battle.

I've been ranting and raving to my partner about this whole thing (he hates the endings as well) but he also works for a large corporation and he reminded me that there is no such thing as "immediate action" in the world of corporate business, especially ones like Bioware that are subsidiaries of larger corporations.  Things get passed through a slow chain of command and many times get delayed by corporate red tape.  With PAX on the way, the articles coming up about the endings and RME, they are pressed for time and answers and have to delay as long as they can. Sadly, it's just the nature of finance.

But you can't let it get to you!  The fight may be long, but there are so many passionate people supporting this, papers covering this, that the enthusiasm and fervor becomes contagious.  Take comfort in the people involved to hold you up because in the end, standing up for something you believe in is worth all the headaches in the world.

I know You're right. I didn't mean to lower morale, but it would be good if anybody involved in ME3 knew that Bioware might still play some tricks with us.

As I said before - I'll keep this line till the end, just for principle :)

Hahah, reading the comments in the latest IGN bit about the BioWare statement..

"This is amazing...I would've said no. Bioware you are taking over Bethesda's spot as my all time favorite developer. I didn't even have a problem with the ending"

Hah, even those who didn't mind the ending are impressed with BW doing this.

And, to be honest, why we should listen to two people who actually have nothing to do with game development, apart from to pay sycophantic lip service after the act, witter on about how the fans are killing the industry...well, I don't know.

Nice to see another proper outlet picking it up,kudos spiegel. One thing to remember, I'd watch those ign vids just for kicks, because what a person like that says at this points matters so very little.

The thing that steers this thing is the remaining weeks of the timeslot that me3 was predicted to sell for. The amount of bad press has been pretty massive, and it must have allready had an effect on sales and you don't even need numbers to verify it:"In return, I’d ask that you help us do that by supporting what I truly believe is the best game BioWare has yet crafted."- dr. Might I just say that Retake is not just about the ending, but mainly about what businesses like BioWare and EA are doing to the gaming community. Through our activities, we have first hand experience at PR double-talk, greed and "corruption" inside our most "trusted" reviewers and that gaming companies will lie every inch of the way to get a sale.

This is no long JUST about the ending. We have evolved. We will fight the principles that lead us here.

The line will always hold. Through our actions, or the actions of those who stand with us.

Hold the line, ladies and gentlemen. Lets show people that even if we are a minority, we will be heard! *Salute*

Note- Wouldnt hurt to keep charity ideas going. Not just the gaming one, we should donate to another charity when we find another cause to rally behind.

It's ok, we can explain away his demeanour really easily.

He's no longer a Game critic; he's now an Art critc. This upgrade comes with a lot of benefits as an increased allowance for opinionated beliefs, the ability to make generalised sweeping statements based on little or no fact about the public he has taken pains to separate from, and, of course, a massive raise of pretentiousness.

He won't, he won't responded to anyone that  he knows can  destory his little glass castle his has built. He is going to put himself in the Echo chamber of his own fans and pat himself on his back..

We just need to ignore him,... he is  pointless.   We need to focus and pushing the front,  responding the  Co-Founders "Apology" and making or views clear to him and Bioware...

In short ... ignore him and watch how much louder he will cry attention, the put more inflamtory rhetoric, more attacks to get hits on  IGN to get his lash out.

Let him rant... he is insignificant.

Yes and no? I mean I can understand if its like that, but its still technically the same bloody thing when you strip away the timing of each, and get down to what they were doing, which it sounds like they changed the ending... *shrugs* I never played it so I would have no idea, but what I do know, is that he for all intents and purposes is a hipocrate... plain and simple.
