Yes, to a certain extent you are right. However if the endings had been officially released prior to the game (I know, never would have happened but stick with me) the situation would have been exactly the same.

If the image of Cole hadn't been released until the game was, and there was the same furore, I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing had happened.

I do see what you're getting at, but the fact of the matter is that we can't allow time always to play a part. And, the majority of what he is saying is about how wonderful SP are for listening to their fans, and now he is saying how awful it is that BW are listening to theirs.

We could debate that the pre/post release changes are the vital turning point here, and it'd be a valid point, however it would detract from the whole aspect of Gaming Companies listening to their fans as a good/bad thing.

The fact of the matter is that his viewpoint has been "slam, slam, slam, slam, artistic integrity, slam, slam, slam." He could have negated this by saying "while it is good that they are willing to listen to their fans, I do not believe that any additional content is necessary" but instead he's saying "now I have to lose the ending I like". Dude, don't like it? Don't get the DLC.

EA stock has been trending downward since the release of SWKOTOR. What I read was that shareholders were concerned about them monetizing their properties in the long term, IIRC.

I don't think Bioware may just "overlook" the concerns of 40% of fans, that would be suicidal for it's business

Its just 1 poll among many and not even close to being the largest one. Most have a very heavy dislike %.

Its also abit strangely set up, at least in my opinion.

I feel sorry for You. For me one time was more than enough. After my first only playthrough I just sat stunned and unable to do anything. I cannot focus since then. What they did is just unimaginable.

I feel sorry for You. For me one time was more than enough. After my first only playthrough I just sat stunned and unable to do anything. I cannot focus since then. What they did is just unimaginable.

I haven't been able to pull myself away from it sadly, up until now... I've finally moved on and started to play Fallout 3 again~!
