I hope you are right my friend.
But if BW decides to make the paid DLC just a few lines in an epilogue plus a few scenematics without any real content addition (boss fight, remove AI child add something instead, etc.) hell will break lose and they will basically be signing the companies death sentence..
It is one thing to s... us over with the original ending and call it "artistic license", but it's another to make an ending because we asked for it, and are paying extra for it, and come up with some piece of junk and then say "you ask for it, now take it".
Had they opted for a adding brief slideshow in the first week or so they *might* have got away with it, at the cost of a large chunk of their customer base.
If they try to pull it off now the story has started to hit the mainstream media as 'Bioware will change the ending'...well losing a chunk of their customer base will be the start of their problems. Expect a growing number of people to report them to the FTC (again) or the comparable orginisations...and this time the mainstream media, who will feel like they were played for fools, is likely to be right behind them asking questions of Bioware. Worse is that such an outcry is likely to start asking questions about how games review sites and magazines work and their relationship with the game companies. If the press really starts looking at the computer games industry they are going to uncover a LOT of things the industry would rather they didn't...especially where EA is concerned.
Forget all hell breaking loose, this could potentially be far, FAR worse.
