You should read it full. It's a good piece with lots of good points. Unless you're a "change the entire ending!!!!111" fanatic of course, then you will hate it.LadyMarisa wrote...

Oooh we're militant now - good to know.
Although I hesitate at the authors use of that word, you have to admit that in all fairness that article is well balanced and defends us on more than one occasion.
Don't pull a PR and just focus on the most immediate negative aspect and use it to rule out the rest of the argument.

Actually I'm curious about something anyway, why do a lot of people consider the synthesis ending to being a "good" ending?
Probably because EDI and the Geth survive.
I find it the worst. I can't let my Shepard to "sacrifice" the whole galaxy humanity/not AI life just to save EDI and the geth. Sad, yes, but if that's the only option...
This here is the reason I couldn't take my main paragon Shep through the ending at all, I had to just quit the game. None of the options were anything she would be willing to do in a hundred years.
So yeah, Synthesis is the 'best' ending in that it's the only one that the godchild promises will create peace, but it creates peace by, apparently, making it so that nobody has to try and get along anymore, which is just such an ethical/philosophical mess.
so it's destroy, hopefullly soon, it'll be something else (like telling elroy to suck it)

Yeah, he uses poorly worded descriptions of the movement throughout the whole article. He also doesn't seem to know our whole purpose. I honestly can't tell if he's against us or if he's standing with us while slapping us and calling us names.

Nah, the stargazer and child are not Asari, so Liara will keep faithful.

It's interesting. If their interpretation of the Muzyka statement is that BioWare is going to make some kind of change, do they continue to come down hard against the protest? Oops -- that would be an indirect criticism of BioWare's decision. So instead they creep up on to the fence to wait and see, and try to do it so that the backpeddling isn't so obvious.LethesDeep wrote...

So, folks, what's everyone thinking? Are all these erroneous "endings are definitely getting changed" articles helping us or hindering us? Bypassing how they arrived at that conclusion in the first place (misreading/laziness, reading what they want to believe into it, or another smoke screen), will people think this means things are already resolved (and therefore won't join our movement), or will this actually raise awareness by affording us some public vindication?

Most of the major news outlets will report in a neutral fashion. They're just presenting the news rather than expressing an opinion. Main takeaway is that it has become something that these major outlets are watching and picking up. If the momentum keeps up, they'll soon do their own opinion pieces on it as well.Goikiu wrote...

More like people who haven't played it, but vote in favour if "artistic freedom". They are never that vocal, not even on this forum or in any other poll. They are not united, so how can that poll suddenly be that high?

It's hard to say... i can only say that italians player (90% of them) don't go here , so i truly cannot say anything about them, i've read some comments on some italian game magazine... better not reporting my "opinion" about them.
back to global:
Some will probably not join the movement now, because they want to wait and see
A lot have already returned their ME3 copyes and haven't joined the movement
Some will probably flee from the movement...
Some can be added to the movement, too...
There are a really huge numbers of variable here... it's hard to say

I hate it when people do that. Either choose a side and commit or get the frak out of the way. Playing neutral is fine, but that involves accurately portraying everyone's side from the beginning and no one has done that yet.

It seems like just straight-up oversimplification, that's all. I'm not sure whether it will help or hurt us, or do either - I feel like if somebody has to hear about it first through their mainstream newspaper or whatever, they probably weren't about to jump on board with Retake anyway.
Dr. Ray's actual statement does concern me, though. If Bioware comes out in April and announces 'expansion' dlc that doesn't actually change anything, just defends the current endings, I'm worried we'll either A. roll over and take it, or B. not roll over and then be labeled as impossible to please by the gaming press.
