What an impressively dissapointing end to one of my favorite game franchises. I followed this series from day one, I've played ME so many times I can almost recite the entire dialogue before the characters do. And this is how they end it?  I don't understand what the point of the games were if no matter what we did the civilizations of the universe were screwed anyways.

I absolutely loved playing this game, except for the fact that side missions were turned into, " Scan that planet". But the endings are just so rediculous that it's mind boggling. I seriously couldn't believe my eyes, I was speechless, that after all these years of following Shepard's story that these "writers" had the balls to do this.

I could have sworn I heard Dark Helmet from Space Balls standing behind me saying, "Fooled You!"

Giving us three endings, recycling the same footage, where the only real difference is the color of the energy ball that is the death nell to every race in the universe..... I'm sorry but what is artistic about that?
This is a video game where we've been led by a guy at every turn beating impossible odds, bringing together races that have been killing each other for years, and makes connections to players on a whole new scale, and what you come up with is this?

If you want to make some kind of artistic statement, move to France and film some guy with a pencil thin mustache and a pony tail drinking a latte and smoking a ciggarette at a table outside of cafe. We've spent 5 years fighting the Reapers for finally a payoff, Reapers die, Shepard and the crew lives, and the races of the universe say hoo-****ing-ray.

What we get instead is this just unconscionably depressing ending, that ties no ends, gives us no closure, and gives a big screw you to the people that spent so much time in this universe.
Give us an ending we deserve. One happy ending when there are three bad endings isn't much to ask. If it hurts your artistic integrity so much, you can say the happy ending is non-canonical.

Long story short, why did I bother playing these games for the last 5 years if this is how it ends?

Am I the only one who finds it odd that it's a buisness publication who's on our side while all the gameing publications are against us?

Yeah I don't understand it, but I'm not complaining

EDIT: especially because Forbes is obviously more adept at journalism and their articles prove points quicker and more efficiantly without any extreme bias.

Maybe that's because gaming media wants to be friends with publishers to get stuff like early access, while a business publication doesn't actually give a **** about EA and just wants to get the facts right? Anyway, I would take Forbes support over IGN's every day of the week.

The guy is a pure hypocrite, now saying this http://www.ign.com/v...jectid=14235014 .

On one hand he says it's good to listen to the fans, on the other he doesn't.

Maybe because it's IGN? And we all know what those 3 letters in their name stand for...

Pretty much. I can't believe I used to be naive enough to defend them.

When I read this quote from the last Forbes article: "Won’t they be cheapened by a new ending?" by Moriarty, I thought:

How could this cheapen something which already is worth not a single cent?

Not at all. From a business perspective, giving us what we want makes sense. Forbes sees that. Gaming media do not, though, since they exist in their own weird little bubble completely divorced from the real-world realities of business.
