ANYWAY, good morning! What did I miss?
This could explain the ME3 endings. Shep had a kid a week before the major battle. He has been phoning it in since the encouter with TIM due to sleep deprivation and just fell asleep during the run to the citadel.
Not being a girl I can't really say...but could FemShep be suffering from some kind of post-partum depression during those scenes? The endings were certain depressing.
try holding the line and besting maurader shiels with twins and get back to me buddha!
also, it'll get better! as will the end to ME3 (with more choices)

That's what they WANT you to do! You shouldn't have to BUY the ending of a game separate from the rest of it. But if you let them get away with selling the ending separately you just wait, you'll have to buy the ending for DA3 a month after the game too.
In principle, I agree. And if it were any series but Mass Effect, I wouldn't buy it. But I'm just too damned emotionally invested not to pay through the nose for a decent ending.
Call me weak. Call me selfish. Call me shortsighted. That's how it is, I'm afraid.
I'll pay. I've been following the game for years and I deserve to know.
It will be the last $10 that Bioware will ever get from me.

I went with the full paragon destroy ending and got that little bit at the end after the credits with the old man and the kid.
What annoyed me most was whatever choice you made, the mass relays would be destroyed thus removing intergalactic space travel, therefore ruining the entire franchise.
Not only that, but why Joker was piloting the Normandy in space away from the battle was beyond me, also, I had Garrus and Ashley in my team right until the end...so how come they're suddenly on the Normandy with no injuries? its a retarded ending with no logic. Mass Effect deserves a better ending. My perfect ending would be Shepard having a beach party with the surviving main cast set a few months after the incident when civilisation is rebuilding. Clichéd? yes, but we deserve a good ending. Certainly a better one than we got now. I was ok with it right up until the Illusive Man point.
I think the main issue is that whatever we did throughout the game didn't really mean anything. There was no cutscene at the end showing the condition of Earth or the fleet. Instead of answering our questions it just created more.
When this internet storm first started I thought to myself "I'll hold on and wait before signing any petitions" but I have to agree.

I think that everyone is waiting for some news. I'm waiting too. This doesn't mean that we're giving up.
I just took a break for a week: was my birthday last weekend and then I took a long break from all the stuff that isn't cheerful-making (including this stuff, since it reminds me of the ME3 ending every time).
I think lots of people won't be cheking in every day or even very other day anymore, but that doesn't mean they're not still watching, posting occasionally, and ready to do other stuff if anything big pops up again (or new, good polls, etc).

People need to think about the plot holes that were in the ending. 1)It has been established if you destroy a mass relay you destroy the whole star system so in all 3 endings all of galactic life is destroyed
2) how do my teamates that I had on earth end up back in the normandy
3) How does shepard go from being on the citadel, which is blown up, without armor to being buried under rubble with armor and breathing air
to me its sloppy writing. If I was bioware I would fire the editing staff and possibly the head writer. All of the problems and issues bioware have now could have been prevented with decent QA.
Looking at the developers stance on criticism tells me that if anyone did bring up these plotholes they were probably shot down in the same manner that the fans are being delt with which is the attitude that they (bioware) are artists and we (the fans) don't or can't fully appreciate the complexities of their ending. Even in the gamespot review the reviewer says that gamers need to appreciate the artistic work. Well I hate to burst your bubble you are entertainers first artists second.
The gaming industry as a whole is starting to take themesleves way too seriously I play games to escape its the same reason I watch sports or read a book or watch a movie. I appreciate the art in the game just like I appreciate the ability of a novelist to draw me into a world however if any entertainment company responded to their fans the way bioware did (by replying to them in a condecending way they would go out of buisiness
Lets take the UFC the president of the UFC Dana White knows that the fans are responsible for the sucess of his company. When he feels like the fans were cheated out of something he goes out of his way to make it right (a few years ago Ken shamrock and tito ortiz fought on payper view and the fight lasted maybe a minute, Dana apologized to the fans and told them that they would rematch on spike tv, a basic cable channel) he understands that without the fans there would be no buisness. The statement and response by the bioware team is alienating their fanbase and gamers in general.
Another analogy is the NFL they have very passionate fans but when an incident that tarnishes their product happens they are swift to rectify the problem(mike vick was suspended for a few years even before he was sent to jail, the punishment haded out to the head coach of the saints) because they know they exist because of the fans.
No company has been more condecending to its fans (recently) than the producers and developers of bioware. Their tweets are essentially saying that we are not smart enough to understand their endings and the company as a whole decided to "ride out the storm" in hopes that we would go away
So I urge you my fellow devotees to refuse any dlc that costs money until they rectify the plot holes and deliver the game that they advertised

Bioware have asked us to trust them and I do, trust is a hard thing to gain and an easy thing to lose. They have asked for trust and I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Sure the endings could have been better but after 3 excellent games as a whole I think they deserve some trust. However it is a two way street, if they ask for trust and then don't deliver then they will find it very difficult to regain the trust.
Until we know there is little point speculating if it is/was the right decision to change the endings as we don't know if they are changing the endings. The current status is a scab on the Mass Effect franchise, constantly picking at it means it doesn't get a chance to heal.
Um, you're kidding, right?
Benefit of the doubt? Even if they rode in here right now with a fixed ending for free and not just empty words promising it, they still lied outright with all the prior promises of what we would get for an ending when the game shipped, right up until the last minute, and you still trust them??? They betrayed every loyal, devoted fan in ways that should never have happened in the first place.
Just, wow.
It would take years for EA/BW to earn my trust again on any level whatsoever after this, even if they did fix it, because it should never, ever, have happened in the first place. I really don't see myself believing anything they say without cold, hard evidence staring me in the face as they say it, and even then, I'm likely to doubt it, as they've wronged us so badly.
We didn't get the endings we were promised, that is a fact. We were lied to right up until the game shipped, that is a fact. What they did strips away any trust they deserved.
Do what you want, but I'll likely never trust EA/BW again.

at the start of this i would have paid to get my questions answered....now though, i want another choice.....and some more play, i'd probably pay for either but another choice and endgame will keep me as a consumer
at this point i'm trusting them to provide more choices and i'm of the mind that's a fair tradeoff for a little cash...
