Okay this doesnt make sense to me.  If this has happened before...where fans were numerous enough to affect change on something (ie books, games, movies etc)  ...why is there so much hate directed towards this movement?

Why is it suddenly *now* considered idiotic, entitled and unrealistic?

Whats the difference?  the media?

LOL! Don't worry, MOST Americans have NO IDEA that there are more people who speak Portuguese in South America, than do not. Brazil is the only Non-Spanish country, but it is the "U.S." of S. America : )

Technically that tweet is true, they haven't said they would add new endings. BUT they haven't said they won't yet either. Everything we've gotten has been PR double-talk BS. Please, for your own good, don't read too much into things.

Wouldn't get depressed based on solely this, the tweet is just stating the fact Bioware has not yet made an official decision.

I think I'll have to call it quits for today, since apparently this weak organic body of mine needs sleep.

Never posted anything, just wanted to be up to date, because the ending really made me "sick" and
I searched for confirmation that I was not the only one with this issue.
Just want to say that I really like with how much passion the people here post and discuss and I
really hope that it pays off in the end.

What bothers me more is this:

He clearly titles us as idiots in his message, and Bioware still takes the time to answer him.

Bioware, isn't our money worth anything? If you answer people like this who call us idiots, and ignore our claims...be sure to keep the 1.000 happy people at bay. Because 999.000 others will be gone by then.

In principle, I agree. And if it were any series but Mass Effect, I wouldn't buy it. But I'm just too damned emotionally invested not to pay through the nose for a decent ending.

While I'm in the same boat I still wouldn't mind paying that much, since I don't believe in indoc, I just think BW screwed up. It's true they didn't deliver what they promised us, but to make a new ending would take way more personnel than just the writers who came up with that travesty, and they have a right ot be paid.

I'll admit it'd sting a bit to pay for a better ending, but Mass Effect is really the only series dear enough to my heart to actually get me to do it.

Exactly. We are getting lots of coverage, which means that more of "those who dwell under bridges" (can't call them the word because of forum rules) have caught wind of the story. They then post anti-movement messages in forums. Some people who haven't even played the game and don't realise that it is a lie start hating us for trying to change a game.
This then escalates to include more and more people. The fact that some of the big gaming magazines like IGN are against us also doesn't hep.
That's my take on it at least.

Wish I could use  to get everyone to at least play the ending before critisizing us.

They haven't said anything yet.  Don't give up yet.

Oh, I'm not giving up...but if that is what they do I will boycott Bioware and EA, lodge a complaint with the Office of Fair Trading and take bets on how many of the Bioware staff sent to PAX manage to make it to the parking lot before the mob catches them...

Benefit of the doubt?  Even if they rode in here right now with a fixed ending for free and not just empty words promising it, they still lied outright with all the prior promises of what we would get for an ending when the game shipped, right up until the last minute, and you still trust them???  They betrayed every loyal, devoted fan in ways that should never have happened in the first place.

Just, wow.

It would take years for EA/BW to earn my trust again on any level whatsoever after this, even if they did fix it, because it should never, ever, have happened in the first place.  I really don't see myself believing anything they say without cold, hard evidence staring me in the face as they say it, and even then, I'm likely to doubt it, as they've wronged us so badly.

We didn't get the endings we were promised, that is a fact.  We were lied to right up until the game shipped, that is a fact.  What they did strips away any trust they deserved.

Do what you want, but I'll likely never trust EA/BW again.

I have always told friends and fellow gamers, how great Bioware is and I defended them for the mess they made with swtor, giving them the benefit of the doubt but this is just way way to much over the line. They betrayed us. They lied to us. And they are still just playing for time, still not commeting to anything. Still all we get is some PR stuff instead of just saying clearly "yes we are going to release a DLC soon that will change/add to the ending and your feedback towards it is welcome."
I don't trust them anymore and I don't think I ever will again. I will buy the DLC only after I know if the ending is any good or just some more space magic with some weirdo senseless explanations on top of it.
And I won't buy any other games from them, even if they fix this, without having seen reviews made by gamers and not by those lapdogs from all those gaming websites and magazines out there.

We do? Alright then. Well, I tried to reach out to a few, but none of them would answer.
Even Child's Play is not answering my mail. I didn't ask them to support our cause, I just wanted to have a statement from them. Maybe a thank you or something.
