To be fair, she also stated that she was taking a more Moderator focused approach rather than community outreach.  I'm pretty sure that the recent debacle sparked a lot of personal attacks on all Bioware/EA staff and thus Bioware/EA has changed policy (temporary or permanent) that outlines how they interact with the sites like Social Network.

Just my two cents.  Back to holding the line.

Mass Effect is not a dark sci-fi series. It does not show a dystopian or post apocaliptic future, it does not show a militaristic culture like Halo or Gears. If anything, it shows a bright future that is endangered by an old threat.

As to "bittersweet endings", did you play the same games that I did?In ME1 you manage to overcome a threat million of years old. That not bittersweet, that is ultimate victory. Then on ME2, if you played your cards right, you could rape the  Collectors in brutal fashion, making what was once called a suicide mission, the greatest ass-kicking in the historyof the universe.

Seriously, some people need to get out of the "happy endings are bs" bandwagon. Every kind of ending is cliché because it has already been done.

Guys and Gals - PR just got locked down as it got a little too heated in way things are said.

We don't like the decisions that were made for the ending of ME3 - and some things the company BW has done. Lets not throw out any ideas about the people inside BW - that will get us locked down.

Just to remind everyone, it's a thin line between obsession and activism. We've got what we wanted, Bioware would be committing professional suicide if they went back on it now. Turning on anyone who went against us is the sort of thing you find in countries after a coup takes place. Just because we're being polite doesn't mean we're being civil. Keep that in mind before we decide to turn our collective aggression on anything that so much as looked at us funny or we'll lose the base for everything we've done to this point.

While I'm not sure we have got, or at least will get, exactly what we want. I do agree that comments are starting to get a bit too 'hostile'.

Agreed, RKB28. In fact, the most radical thing they could've done with the ending is give us a wide range of conclusions from happy to bittersweet to sad. All endings are cliché, why not let us choose which we like best?

I don't see why everything calming down a bit should be a panic folks, we've already got a foot in and a statement from the Big Boss™ of the company. We've made our voices heard, they've been heard. We've told them what we want, how we feel and they said "Ok we're gonna do something about it, details in April" reposting the same argument doesn't really help now. We've made our point and made it ad nauseum, how many times do we need to tell Jessica and Chris "These plot holes really suck and we're quite upset about it." ? We just need to wait patiently now... and if things fall through, and they don't fix it then we know it's time to walk away. No matter how much that will hurt.

That said I do have a positive vibe about this and I think we will see the action we asked for, holding the line doesn't need to be shouting from the roof tops. A silent resolve, that should the worst comes to worst, you will do what needs to be done and walk away. That's still holding the line.

I was having a dicussion with a friend barely an hour ago. He finished the game yesterday and he can't work it out at all and he is disapointed and I agree how our Shepards journey ended.

That aside we also came to the conclusion that with in a sci-fi universe when the author's create their own fictional rule they must adehre to it I.e the Mass Effect "rule" is that for society in this universe to work Mass Effect technology is needed. By removeing that technology the writers have essentaily truncated their ability to continue with Mass Effect (Unless the opportunity to fix the Relays is added).

Futhermore why don't we get even the option to get a happy ending what wrong with it. ME2 it was possible to get a perfect ending with everyone surviving and everything happy clappy execept for the intel that the reapers are coming. Between the two of us we agreed that this would be a best case scenario but even if we didn't get a perfect ending we wanted to see a bittersweet ending with worthwhile sacrifice rather than almost identical non-sencicle linear path we were given.

The final point me and my friend wish to raise is why did war assests (A key plot point) have such a limited appearence in the battle for eath. Cast your mind back to ME2 with the suicide mission where you designated specialists  for particular tasks. That gave you a real sense of control an element we feel was missing from the Final Battle of Earth. 

My friend feels that a large chunk of the final mission pre-beam rush and post-beam rush should be rewritten to draw together choises from all three games.

Sorry for death by text but we felt that we would just air our views. Hold the Line across the world.

A conflict on interest, the charity did not want to be seen having a bias supporting the Retake movement.

There is only one kind of difficulty they could be experiencing.  Someone who donates more than us voice their displeasure at Child's play.  Everyone gets one guess.

If this thread goes down I'll just start up "So we can't get the endings we want after all 2.0". I've saved the quotes from the Prerelease Dev quotes thread (in case anything happens to that thread) as well as the updated list Mr. Connery keeps posting for newcomers. If this thread goes down we'd be back up and operational inside of 5 minutes.
